Kultur för barn och unga : Barn- och ungdomsverksamhetens plats i Bonniers Konsthall och Nacka Kulturcentrum

Kultur är en stor del av samhället och går ofta förbi obemärkt. Kulturorganisationer som Bonniers Konsthall och Nacka Kulturcentrum, Dieselverkstaden, arbetar aktivt med kulturverksamhet för barn och unga för att uppmärksamma kulturens betydelse. Syftet med denna jämförande studie är att behandla hur barn- och ungdomsverksamheten påverkas av de respektive organisationernas finansiering och handlande ur både ett privat och offentligt perspektiv. I den kvalitativa jämförelsen och analysen studeras material från media, hemsidor, årsredovisningar och intervjuer. Uppsatsen kommer att utreda på vilket sätt omgivningen innebär osäkerheter, möjligheter samt beroenden för de båda kulturorganisationerna. Resultaten av undersökningen visar att organisationernas finansiering påverkar deras verksamhet för barn och unga, men också även hur de agerar och organiserar sig internt.

Sounding Matters : Exploring the Potentials of Sonic Leakage in Contemporary Art Spaces

Contemporary art spaces are typically structured in accordance with a visual paradigm. However, sound has the capacity to leak into other spaces and does not conform to visual logics. Still, sounding artworks are frequently presented in these spaces. Thus, the aim of this thesis is to examine the effects of leaking sounding works within art spaces with an emphasis on the sensory experience of sound, and to further the understanding of how this can be operationalised curatorially. The research is focused on these questions: How is sound operating to produce experiential effects in the respective exhibition situations? What are the transformative potentials of sounding works in art spaces? What are the curatorial implications of these effects? The study investigates two cases, the exhibitions Mother Courage and Her Children (2022) and Undamming Rivers (2022) that both provide examples of the interactions of sounding works in contemporary art spaces. The material is gathered through observation and analysed using the theory of performativity. The analysis defines a set of terms that describe different experiences of sounding works in the art spaces. Furthermore, these effects are shown to operate transformatively on the art event as aspects of a contemporaneous production and reception of the art. The concluding discussion elaborates on the curatorial implications of these terms in the curation of sounding works to show how sonic leakage facilitates definition of space, movement through space, and a layering of experience.

Sponsring inom kultursektorn : Konsten att identifiera & attrahera sponsorer

<p>Denna studie fokuserar på sponsring inom kultursektorn utifrån den sponsrade partens perspektiv. Syftet med studien är att analysera hur aktörer inom kultursektorn går tillväga för att identifiera och attrahera potentiella sponsorer till sina verksamheter. Studien är avgränsad till sponsring inom kultursektorn i Sverige och de aktörer som undersöks är Bonniers Konsthall, Riksteatern, Skansen och Way out West. Undersökningen bygger på en flerfallstudie där intervjuer har genomförts med representanter för varje aktör. Studiens övergripande teoretiska referensram är hämtad från Managerial Theory och de koncept som används är marknadsföringskonceptet och marknadsföringsmixen. Dessa koncept kompletteras med A-ERIK modellen som används för att analysera sponsring genom att dela in detta fenomen i fyra ej ömsesidigt uteslutande variabler; association, exponering, relationer samt integrerad kommunikation.De slutsatser som kan dras utifrån studien är att kulturaktörerna identifierar potentiella sponsorer utifrån sina möjligheter att erbjuda association, relationer, exponering och integrerad kommunikation. Till viss del identifierar kulturaktörerna även sponsorer utifrån sina egna behov, med motiven att sponsorer ska ge ett mervärde till kulturaktörernas verksamhet och att kulturaktörerna vill nå ut till sponsorns intressenter. Aktörerna identifierar branscher, inte specifika företag, och de branscher som anses som mest attraktiva är sådana vars kärnvärden ligger nära kulturaktörernas. För att attrahera sponsorer använder aktörerna främst association och relationer. Sponsorer tillåts associera sig med aktörernas varumärken och specifika teman i föreställningar eller utställningar och aktörerna erbjuder sponsorer en möjlighet att stärka relationen till sina egna intressenter samt att skapa nya relationer till aktörernas intressenter.</p> / <p>This study focuses on sponsorship in the cultural sector from the sponsored party’s perspective. These concepts are supplemented with the A-ERIK model which is used to analyze the sponsorship by dividing it in four not mutually exclusively variables; association, exposure, relationships and integrated communications.The conclusions drawn from this study is that the organizations identify potential sponsors based on their ability to offer the sponsor association, exposure, relationships and integrated communications. To some extent, the organizations also identify sponsors based on their own needs, with the rationale that the sponsor will add value to the cultural activities and to reach out to the sponsor's stakeholders. The organizations identify sectors, not specific companies, and the sectors that are being considered as most attractive are those whose core values are close to the organizations. In order to attract sponsors the organizations use in particular association and relationships. The sponsor is allowed to associate with the organizations brand and specific themes in shows or exhibitions and the organizations offers the sponsor the opportunity to strengthen the relationship with their stakeholders and to create new relationships with the organizations stakeholders.</p>

Finding the Aesthetic in Visitor Experience : A study of strategies used by Moderna Museet and Bonniers Konsthall to understand the visitor experience within exhibitions

This thesis examines the role of aesthetic experience of the audience within art exhibitions and its influence on their exhibition making and curatorial decisions of art institutions. This is done by comparing the practices within two case institutions located in Stockholm -Moderna Museet, a public art museum and Bonniers Konsthall, a private art institution. The research questions for this study are: What strategies do Moderna Museet and Bonnier Konsthall use to understand the aesthetic experience of their audience? Do the current visitor surveys used in these institutions capture the aesthetic aspect of the visitor experience? How does this knowledge about the aesthetic experience of the visitor influence the curatorial decisions within the two museums? The material consists of visitor survey questionnaires used in both the institutions as well as interviews that were conducted with staff members of the two institutions. The material is examined using the aesthetic experience theory, in order to focus specifically on the aesthetic aspect of the total visitor experience.  The thesis groups the different strategies used within the two institutions in two categories of formal and informal strategies, based on the formality of their conduction. It further compares the practices of the two institutions in order to examine the difference in the perspective of public and private art museums towards their visitors. By eventually tracing how knowledge collected by the formal and informal strategies reinforces each other, the thesis draws a more complete picture of the role the aesthetic experience of the visitor plays within art institutions and their art exhibitions.
