Metodika business analýzy při zavádění informačních systémů v telekomunikačních podnicích / Business analysis methodology for the implementation of information systems in telecommunication enterprises

The topic of the thesis is to build a business analysis methodology for the implementation of information systems in telecommunication enterprises in Czech Republic. This methodology is composed by qualitative research - grounded theory, supplemented by quantitative research and secondary research using an available literature. In the preparation of the methodology I have used the current needs of telecommunications companies, which are characterized mainly by high dependence on information systems, high flexibility, competition and shortening of the corporate strategy timeline. Business analysis in the telecommunications is mainly based on the strategic objectives and its task is to compile and analyze the business requirements that should be reflected in the new (upgraded) information systems while transforming strategic objectives into specific requirements for the operation of this system. Those systems should help fulfill strategic objectives. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part I was focuses mainly on the definition of terms, as well as the general methodology for conducting business analysis and their relationships with process and project management used in the implementation of information systems in telecommunications. Also I identified and explained the used research methods. The second part is focused on primary research. To obtain data the research was carried out interviews with 18 respondents from the telecommunications industry and their statements were subjects for quantitative and qualitative research. The data obtained were conceptualized, categorized and then coded into the resulting methodology. The thesis also includes a proposal for the use of the methodology in theory, practice and teaching.

A continuación, queremos presentar como propuesta de negocio una “Plataforma virtual educativa de estimulación temprana para padres primerizos”, la misma que tiene como objetivo principal cubrir las necesidades de los padres de niños menores de 5 años, para comprobar su factibilidad se ha desarrollado el siguiente trabajo de investigación, con el respectivo análisis de mercado y planeamiento estratégico. Respecto a la evaluación económica del presente proyecto, esta nos arrojó un resultado positivo, al obtener un VAN del FCLD de S/379,814 y una TIR de 153.98%, estos valores nos han demostrado la factibilidad de la propuesta, motivo por el cual se recomienda el inicio de las actividades de puesta en marcha del proyecto. / We want to present a business proposal named "Virtual educational platform for early stimulation to new parents", your objective is to meet the needs of parents of children under five, to check its feasibility has been developed research work, with the respective market analysis and strategic planning. In regard the economic valuation of this project, showed a positive result, obtaining a NPV of S/379,814 and an IRR of 153.98%, these values shown us the feasibility of the proposal. Affärsanalys är en ökande trend som många organisationer idag använder på grund av potentialen att fastställa värdefulla insikter, ökad lönsamhet och förbättrad operativ effektivitet. Något som visat sig vara problematiskt då det önskade resultatet inte alltid är en självklarhet. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur modeföretag kan använda datadriven affärsanalys för att generera positiva insikter genom värdeskapande mekanismer. Utifrån semistrukturerade intervjuer med anställda på ett modeföretag har vi, med utgångspunkt i tidigare forskning, kartlagt hur datadriven affärsanalys brukas för att skapa värde genom att applicera en processmodell på verksamheten. Empirin resulterade i tre värdefulla insikter (1) Det studerade företaget använder affärsanalys för ökad lönsamhet (2) Företagets data tillgångar är tillräckliga för att utvinna värdefulla insikter (3) Vidare såg vi att företaget arbetar med influencers vilket är en ny affärsanalys-funktion som inte definierats i tidigare forskning. / Business analysis is an increasingly popular trend that many organisations use because of its potential to establish valuable insights, increased profitability and improved operational efficiency. Something that has proved to be rather problematic as the desired results rarely is a certainty. The purpose of the study is to examine how fashion retailers can use business analytics to generate positive insights through value-creating mechanisms by applying a process model. Based on semi-structured interviews with the employees of a fashion company and a starting point in previous research, we have mapped how business analysis can be used to obtain value. The empirical study resulted in three valuable insights (1) The examined organisation uses business analysis to increase profitability. (2) The data assets of the organisation are enough to acquire valuable insights. (3) Further we discovered that the organisation uses influencers as a valuable asset and can be categorised as a business analysis capability, previously undefined in preceding research.

Bakgrund: Artificiell intelligens (AI) innebär att skapa intelligenta system som överträffar mänsklig kunskap. Den snabba framväxten av AI har gjort att stora företag behöver överväga implementering för att hänga med i dagens utveckling. Forskning visar att maskininlärning kan användas vid redovisning, revision samt vid analyser inom banksektorn. Frågan är dock hur företag använder sig av maskininlärning vid företagsekonomiska analyser?   Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur maskininlärning används vid företagsekonomiska analyser. Vidare avser uppsatsen att analysera vilka faktorer som behöver tas i beaktande av företag vid implementering av AI samt vilka faktorer som enligt Rogers adaptionsteori har legat till grund för spridningen av maskininlärning. Metod: Uppsatsen utgår från en kvalitativ metod med ett induktivt tillvägagångssätt. Den empiriska materialinsamlingen baseras på tio semistrukturerade intervjuer med relevanta personer för arbetets frågeställningar. Arbetets teoretiska referensram har samlats in via befintlig litteratur, såsom vetenskapliga artiklar samt böcker. Slutsats: Slutsatserna som kan dras utifrån studiens frågeställningar och syfte är att användningen av AI vid företagsekonomiska analyser ses som ett hjälpmedel som effektiviserar arbetet för ekonomer. Arbetet effektiviseras då maskinerna kan komma med tips, insikter och avvikelser som människan annars hade behövt leta efter själv. Den främsta fördelen vi identifierat med maskininlärning är att det kapar tid för användaren, vilket gör att personalen kan ägna sig åt andra arbetsuppgifter som är mer tidskrävande. Studien kom fram till att faktorerna som företag behöver beakta vid implementering av maskininlärning är legala, cybersäkerhet, kostnad, kunskap, etik samt datakvalitet. / Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) entails creating intelligent systems which surpass human knowledge. Because of the rapid growth of AI, large companies must consider an implementation to keep up with the current development. Previous research shows that machine learning is used in accounting, auditing as well as analysis in the banking sector. However, the question that remains is how companies use machine learning in business analyses. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate how machine learning is used in business analyses. The thesis aims to analyze and identify which factors need to be taken into account by companies when implementing AI. Also which factors, according to Rogers theory of adaptation, underlie the spread of machine learning. Method: The study is based on a qualitative method with an inductive approach. The empirical data collection is based on ten semi-structured interviews with relevant individuals for the research questions of the study. The theoretical reference framework of the study has been collected through existing literature, such as scientific articles and books. Conclusion: The conclusion that can be drawn, based on the research questions of the study and purpose, is that the use of AI in business analysis is seen as a tool that makes the economists’ work more efficient. The work is more efficient since the machines can come up with/give tips, insights and deviations that humans otherwise would have to find themselves. The biggest advantage we have identified, when using machine learning, is that it saves time for the user, which allows employees to focus on other, more time-consuming tasks. The study also concluded that the factors companies have to consider when implementing machine learning are legal, cyber security, cost, knowledge, ethics and data quality.

Title: Strategic project plan of Letní tábor & Honzík Objective: The main aim of this diploma thesis is to create quality and realistic strategic plan of the project Letní tábor & Honzík. The strategic plan will be compared with reality at the end of the project. Methods: The diploma thesis deals with marketing situational analysis. Key factors and strategic starting points are determined from SWOT analysis. The results are implemented into the BSC method, which serves to accomplish and implement the chosen strategy. The diploma thesis works with a strategic map that enables understanding of the relations between the individual strategic objectives. This thesis also uses the method of text analysis, documents and monitoring, especially for the area of social networks. Results: The strategic plan of the summer camp project was created based on the SWOT analysis and the determination of the company's strategic goals using the BSC method. Achieving the project's profitability and satisfied customers is essential to ensure the project's existence in future years. Both of these objectives were achieved. This thesis is devoted to recruitment and information technologies that support this process. The aim was to get recruitment process in concrete company more efective. The theoretical part deals with concepts and perspectives on the recruitment process as well as information technologies supporting HR field and webdesign innovations. In the practical part was analyzed the current status of the recruitment process and career sites, as the strongest source of candidates in a concrete company. There were identified weak points. Based on this analysis have been implemented new e-recruitment application and new career site that eliminate these weak points. The last part of thesis was based on real measurements evaluating the benefits of implemented changes.

For the assessment of its current position, there were used the SLEPTE analysis, Porter´s five forces model, model 7S, and selected financial analysis methods. The results of these analyses are summarized in a SWOT analysis. Based on the executed analyses, recommendations to improve the company's economic situation have been suggested.
