論文摘要 在市場需求快速成長的吸引下，台灣為首的光碟片廠商大規模擴增生產線，台灣已躍居全球最大的CD-R光碟片產國之位，如何在競爭激烈的環境中，保有競爭優勢，是本研究主要的研究目的。 本研究的架構係採用Aaker 的理論架構來進行內外在分析與策略規劃。整個研究架構分為四個階段:一、首先進行內外在分析，以界定外在環境中的機會與威脅，以及該產業的關鍵成功因素，並了解個案公司所擁有的優劣勢。二、根據以上分析，歸納出該公司所面臨的問題。三、提出可行的策略，在該策略下擬定競爭策略與營運策略。經過本研究分析後發現國內光儲存製造業關鍵成功因素為: 最低的製造成本、經濟生產規模、先進的技術與設備、海外生產據點的設立、充裕的資金、企業文化。從內外在環境分析及條件前提來看，個案公司最適合採取的策略方向是成長策略，在短期採行產品擴張策略，在長期採取市場擴張策略，以及適度地進行向前整合的多角化。

We are now in a rapid growth digital age. Different kinds of digitized applications are affecting people's daily life in different ways. All of these digitized applications generate tremendous amounts of information every day. We need to archive the important information because of their enduring value. However, the storage of digital information over time is a complex and difficult task. Selecting reliable digital archiving media, choosing suitable digital archiving methods, and using appropriate file formats for digital archiving are essential elements for achieving this task.Many companies and organizations have invested in finding reliable and affordable storage media for digital archiving since the end of the last century. Compact Disc Recordable (CD-R) quickly became one of the most popular choices for preserving digital information because CD-R can provide reliable back up at a reasonable price. Nevertheless, recent studies revealed that CD-R as a recording media for long term information archiving is not as reliable as we wish [4]. Its recording media may suffer from lost data because of possible damage from heat, humidity and light.In order to improve the performance of CD-R for long term digital archiving, there has been some research on hardware and software solutions to address this potential problem. Still most existing improvements have limitations either in the need of changing current CD-R standards or significant changes in current optical media drives.The objective of this research is to design and implement a novel system that advances the state of the art in digital archiving using CD-R, especially in the area of digital image storage. The design proposes robust image storage methods for CD-Rs based on the JPEG2000 standard. These storage methods combine the virtual block interleaver, Reed Solomon codes, and the error resilience tools of JPEG2000 effectively to protect the images on CD-Rs against errors caused by possible physical damage.To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed digital data storage methods, numerous experiments are conducted. The results show that the robust digital archiving methods for CD-R are useful and efficient.

光電產業一直是政府積極輔導與推動的重點產業，不論是在光顯示、光儲存光通訊、光輸入、光輸出產業等，歷年來都有不錯的成績。其中尤其是光顯示與光儲存更是占整體產業的大宗。歷年來在掃描器、光碟機、光碟片等多項產品，都曾有位居世界霸主的地位。 自從光碟片問世以來，光碟已經扮演現代科技的重要角色，它既方便攜帶還有儲存容量也大，體積、面積也小了許多，非常符合現代要求如此高效率的時代，而光碟的用途也分成很多類，例如儲存影片、音樂、軟體等等用途，由於光碟的問世，也使得早期使用的磁片、錄音帶、錄影帶等等這些東西，都逐漸被光碟給取代。而光碟從只能儲存聲音的功能，發展到可以儲存影片、軟體等。在這其中，台灣廠商以優異的製造能力與快速擴展產能的策略，建立起光碟片製造王國，總產量佔世界第一，前幾大光碟廠皆為台灣廠商。然而，台灣光碟廠商雖然隨著市場需求而持續成長，但卻始終陷在供過於求的產業困境中，價格快速下跌，加上高額權利金負擔，讓台灣光碟廠陷入經營的窘境。本研究主要是針對紀錄型光碟片產業，收集相關產業資訊，並根據文獻探討擬定研究架構作為產業分析之基本架構；探討過去產業快速成功但卻又深陷供過於求的泥淖的原因，在競爭優勢分析上運用波特競爭理論、五力分析與鑽石理論，並以個案公司為例，瞭解台灣光碟片產業之競爭優勢情形，對產業未來發展提出策略建議。 / Optoelectronics industry has been the focus and promoted by the government. The optical display, optical storage, optical communication, optical input, and optical output industries, have gained good performance in the past years. Especially the scanners, optical disc drives and optical disc media had been the dominant roles in the world。 Since the introduction of the optical disc, it has played an important role in modern high technology. It is convenient to carry over, its large capacity, and the compact size, all meet the requirements of high efficiency. The disc can be used for various purposes of video, music, and data storage and it quickly replaced the floppy discs, audio/video tapes. Taiwan's manufacturers used the strategy to build up the huge capacity rapidly with excellent production capability. The total output has been world number one. However, the market demand continues to grow, but it has been always stuck in oversupply. The rapid declining product prices and the high loyalty burden make the manufacturers in awkward situations. The purpose of this thesis is to focus on analyzing why it succeeded before and why it became oversupply by collecting industry information, literatures, and documents. Based on Porter’s competition theory, theory of five forces analysis and diamond model, and we use A Company as an example to figure out the possible strategies of this industry.

Inicialmente, consiste na revisão da literatura de pesquisas e projetos desenvolvidos na área, na análise das mídias de CD-ROM e CD-R em relação a sua estrutura física e lógica, no estudo das variáveis que causam sua degradação, determinando uma relação causa versus efeito e no desenvolvimento de um software de verificação da confiabilidade das mídias, que conta com um modelo de confiabilidade desenvolvido com base na teoria da confiabilidade de sistemas e nos estudos existentes na área. Este software tem funcionalidades de identificação, armazenamento dos dados de mídia e módulos de análise de confiabilidade. Também é abordado neste trabalho uma análise experimental , a qual conta com metodologias de observação visual, observação por microscópio óptico e aplicação do software de verificação da confiabilidade, esta análise serve de base para a compreensão das variáveis relacionadas a confiabilidade e durabilidade das mídias, assim como, na fundamentação de propostas de preservação de documentos digitais No final do projeto é possível mostrar resultados e discuti-los, propor políticas para a preservação de documentos digitais em mídias de CD-ROM e CD-R e demonstrar conclusões e sugestões para próximos trabalhos / Abstract: The main object of this project is the digital documents preservation in the medias of COROM and CD-R. Initially, this project shows literature review of the studies and projects developed in this area, analyzing the medias of CO-ROM and CO-R in relation of physical and logic structure, showing the studies of the variables who degraded these medias. These studies are the bases of cause versus effect and the parameters to development of a software that can determinate a reliability of medias, that has reliability model developed based in system reliability theory and on the studies in this area. This software has functions of identify medias, data storage and module of reliability analysis. Besides, it does also object of this project an experimental analyses, which counts with visual observation methodology, optical observation and application of the software. This analysis is the base to understand the variables related to the reliability and durability of the medias, as well as, the fundament to propose digital documents preservation.
