Corrective emotional experience : förändringsmekanism i psykoterapiBrännström, Helena, Lundbäck, Åsa January 2016 (has links)

Srovnání vybraných burzovních trhů / Comparison of Exchange Alliances Euronext and CEE Stock Exchange GroupZápalka, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the issue of comparing stock exchanges of Eastern Europe, represented by stock exchange alliance Euronext, stock exchanges of Central and Eastern Eu-rope are presented in this thesis by CEE Stock Exchange Group. For each stock markets is given their historical development, followed by the organizational structure and principles of membership under both exchange alliances. The second chapter deals with the trading system and traded instruments, which are compared to both stock exchanges in absolute and relative perspective. The section about the data analysis is focused on the development of stock ex-change indexes of each exchange, as well as indices, presenting the evolution of stock prices in alliances themselves. Further data analysis is focused on market capitalization of the two stock exchange alliances and a number of traded companies on these markets. Outlook for the future is outlined by using elements of technical analysis.

The political economy of skills formation: explaining differences in Central and Eastern Europe / Gebėjimų formavimo politinė ekonomija: skirtumų Rytų ir Vidurio Europos šalyse aiškinimasMartinaitis, Žilvinas 02 November 2010 (has links)
The dissertation seeks to explain, why different skills formation systems have emerged in Central and Eastern Europe over the past 20 years. More specifically, it investigates, why the labor force acquires general skills in the Baltic States, Poland and Hungary, while specific skills are of utmost importance in the Czech and Slovak Republics and Slovenia? The dissertation argues that these differences can be explained by the labor market, economic and political institutions. Strong employers’ associations, high employment security, generous unemployment benefits, proportional electoral system and government stability are necessary for emergence of specific skills formation systems, while absence of these institutions is sufficient for the emergence of general skills formation systems. The dissertation employs fuzzy set techniques and robust regression to test the hypotheses empirically.

Banking crisis in Central and Eastern Europe: New credit perspective / Bankovní krize ve střední a východní Evropě: Nová kreditní perspektivaPospíšil, Martin January 2010 (has links)
In the recession times of the last two years, it is of a good interest to test the behaviour of commercial banks. In this thesis, I link the Stiglitz-Greenwald theory of credit rationing with microeconomic Central and Eastern Europe banking group data over years 2007 and 2009. For the deeper understanding of the credit side of the banking system it is however necessary to analyse banks from a more detailed perspective. Therefore, a significant part of the thesis is focused on the financial analysis of commercial banks' balance sheets. This analysis then allows finding the reasons why and when did the banks change their behaviour, their approach to clients, businesses when supplying credits. I also analyse various steps that the banks took to deal with the financial crisis. While the crisis started as primarily financial, it was due to the information asymmetry/uncertainty (when banks could not screen and understand their clients properly) that this crisis turned into an economic one. The thesis is divided into two subparts. The first one describes the Greenwald-Stliglitz monetary paradigm and analyses it with respect to Czech microeconomic data. The second part extends this analysis and focuses on the balance sheet development and credit behaviour of five biggest banking groups in the CEE. The result of this thesis can help to understand banks' approach to their clients, the monetary transmission mechanism, and the behaviour of the banking system in general.

Designing the unfamiliar : Exploring design practice and individuals´interaction with artefacts and useStattin, Hanna January 2023 (has links)
Designing the Unfamiliar is a master thesis project that explores how design practice would be able to adapt towards the necessary changes regarding artefacts and how long of a leap design could take in the notion of unfamiliarity. This is done by focusing on water consumption with connection to the climate and ecological emergency, and artefacts such as water distribution systems, and how the individual interacts with the unfamiliarity in both aesthetics and use. The report contains three parts that go through the different processes of the project. The first part of the report starts with an introduction to the project, the background, and where it began. How we, humans, have become familiar with our way of life as we know it and all the materialistic artefacts surrounding us. By analyzing how design practices would be able to alter the way of working towards a sustainable future, the individual must be able to get used to the unfamiliar changes necessary in the process. This continues as an exploration of design practices that are artefact-aimed combined with how individuals might interact and accept the changes in products. While analyzing the climate and ecological emergency, the result of our impact, and climate change, especially water scarcity, there is an exploration of what kind of water distributive systems are on the market now and how design is currently aimed towards sustainable alterations. By speculating on alternative water systems and comparing what is already on the market there is a way of researching how people would react to radical changes in artefacts, not only the artefact supplying the water but also the use of it. To be able to explore how design practices will adapt toward necessary changes regarding artefacts, there is a need to explore how the individual will react to the unfamiliarity of change. This leads to a deep dive into the unfamiliarity section, where exposure to the unfamiliar disrupts the comfort of the familiar. With speculation, reaching out to individuals, exploring behavior, and with the uncertainty of how it affects humans on a psychological level there is a question on the possible positive or negative impacts on changes that humans experience. The second part of the report is the design process of the project, where the chain reaction towards change is explored by looking at the supply and demand and how individuals would have to become comfortable enough to either purchase something that is to them, unfamiliar, or to change the ways of using artefacts. This means that becoming aware of one's actions and positively altering the interactions would eventually lead the unfamiliar to become familiar. This is done by engaging with people and asking them questions to establish what people think of the unfamiliar and how or why they choose to interact, or not, with it. By alternative approaches, a set of illustrated prototype challenges are explained. Where individuals, both adults and children, pieces of knowledge, choices, and actions are meant to be tested. During the design process, a conceptual intervention is explored where speculative futuristic water distributive systems are displayed for interaction purposes. This combined with the challenges previously mentioned and gathering of perception of behavior, comments, and notes from the chosen target group. The third part of the report is an interpretation of the whole process, both the evaluation of the project, a description of the process, to critically evaluate, the result, and a discussion of the author’s thoughts.
