Its overall goal: To prepare recommendations to the coordinators to help them promote (or reframe) in-service training with teachers of literacy cycle, supported on the knowledge and skills built by teachers in training processes carried out in PNAIC to qualifying student learning in the classroom. And for specific objectives: Describe the PNAIC, analyzing their overall objectives, its constitution, content addressed and assumptions; Analyze the teacher's learning characteristics, in continuing training processes; List the duties of the pedagogical coordinator, considering the possibilities of conducting continuing education processes supported in the knowledge of teachers, as a way of reflection and sharing to improve teaching practices The research was developed in the form of qualitative research, based on desk research and literature, and the experiences of the researcher.

Král, Benjamin January 2018 (has links)
This master's thesis describes methodologies used in malware forensic analysis including methods used in static and dynamic analysis. Based on those methods a tool intended to be used by Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT) is designed to allow fast analysis and decisions regarding malware samples in security incident investigations. The design of this tool is thorougly described in the work along with the tool's requirements on which the tool design is based on. Based on the design a ForensIRT tool is implemented and then used to analyze a malware sample Cridex to demonstrate its capabilities. Finally the analysis results are compared to those of other comparable available malware forensics tools.

γ-Tocotrienol Induces Apoptosis in Pancreatic Cancer Cells by Upregulation of Ceramide Synthesis and Modulation of Sphingolipid Transport

Palau, Victoria E., Chakraborty, Kanishka, Wann, Daniel, Lightner, Janet, Hilton, Keely, Brannon, Marianne, Stone, William, Krishnan, Koyamangalath 16 May 2018 (has links)
Background: Ceramide synthesis and metabolism is a promising target in cancer drug development. γ-tocotrienol (GT3), a member of the vitamin E family, orchestrates multiple effects that ensure the induction of apoptosis in both, wild-type and RAS-mutated pancreatic cancer cells. Here, we investigated whether these effects involve changes in ceramide synthesis and transport. Methods: The effects of GT3 on the synthesis of ceramide via the de novo pathway, and the hydrolysis of sphingomyelin were analyzed by the expression levels of the enzymes serine palmitoyl transferase, ceramide synthase-6, and dihydroceramide desaturase, and acid sphingomyelinase in wild-type RAS BxPC3, and RAS-mutated MIA PaCa-2 and Panc 1 pancreatic cancer cells. Quantitative changes in ceramides, dihydroceramides, and sphingomyelin at the cell membrane were detected by LCMS. Modulation of ceramide transport by GT3 was studied by immunochemistry of CERT and ARV-1, and the subsequent effects at the cell membrane was analyzed via immunofluorescence of ceramide, caveolin, and DR5. Results: GT3 favors the upregulation of ceramide by stimulating synthesis at the ER and the plasma membrane. Additionally, the conversion of newly synthesized ceramide to sphingomyelin and glucosylceramide at the Golgi is prevented by the inhibition of CERT. Modulation ARV1 and previously observed inhibition of the HMG-CoA pathway, contribute to changes in membrane structure and signaling functions, allows the clustering of DR5, effectively initiating apoptosis. Conclusions: Our results suggest that GT3 targets ceramide synthesis and transport, and that the upregulation of ceramide and modulation of transporters CERT and ARV1 are important contributors to the apoptotic properties demonstrated by GT3 in pancreatic cancer cells.

Cyberepidemiologi : Hur kan utbrottsdetektion inom folkhälsa hjälpa IT-incidentsövervakning?

Richter, Andreas January 2018 (has links)
This study aims to shed light on what a comparison between cybersecurity intelligence and public health surveillance systems can yield in practical improvements. The issue at hand is best described by the amount of threats both systems must detect. Intelligent malicious software, malware, designed by humans to spread and reap havoc in the abundance of unprotected networks worldwide and contagious diseases with millions of years of evolution behind their design to bypass human defences, infect and multiply. These two threats stand as mighty competitors to actors who try to monitor their presence to be able to give advice on further action to hinder their spread. The sheer amount of experience in public health of dealing with surveillance of contagious disease can contribute with important lessons to cyber intelligence when malware is becoming an even more alarming threat against everybody who uses the Internet. To compare them both this study uses high reliability theory to understand how Folkhälsomyndigheten, Sweden’s main authority in public health surveillance, and CERT-SE, Sweden’s national computer emergency response team, operate to make their surveillance as reliable as possible to detect emerging threats. Some key findings of the study points to the lack of regional or global binding policy’s to share information in the cyber security sector of which CERT-SE takes part in. The major roll of trust-based information sharing can be subject to shifts in relationships between states and excludes states with which no bilateral arrangements are made, but who may possess information of urgent necessity. The lack of arrangements in the cybersecurity sector, correspondent to the International health regulations by World Health Organization in public health, stands as a major difference between the two sectors access to information. However, this study may not stretch as far as to prove that the greater access to information would have proved to be of ease in a specific cyberincident. Case studies of this kind or further research of how agreements can be made in an anarchistic domain like the Internet are to be continued from this study.
