Zhodnocení termomechanického chování perspektivních jaderných paliv při havárii s vnosem reaktivity / Assessment of the thermomechanical behaviour of perspective nuclear fuel for reactivity insertion accidents

Halabuk, Dávid January 2016 (has links)
The objective of this master’s thesis is to simulate thermo-mechanical behaviour of nuclear fuel in a pressurized water reactor during a reactivity initiated accident. An important part of this work is focused on examination of processes which occur during such accident and on creation of a detailed overview of material properties of nuclear fuel and fuel cladding which are necessary for simulations that closely reflect reality. Simulations in this thesis examine cases of fresh or irradiated nuclear fuel for two types of fuel cladding, Zircaloy-4, a material that is currently used in nuclear reactors, and ceramic matrix composite material made of SiC. The thesis also presents comparison of results with a corresponding international benchmark and an assessment of the influence of selected input parameters on obtained results.

Spira, Carsten 05 December 2016 (has links)

Revitalizace vybraných lehkých obvodových plášťů budov, realizovaných u nás do roku 1990 / Revitalization of Selected Lightweight Cladding of Buildings, Implemented in the Czech Republic before 1990

Liška, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
The dissertation thesis is focused on a design of new methodology that can be used for selection of optimal variant for the revitalization of light building facade system known as OD-001 “Boletice panel” when current construction solutions and materials are implemented. Thermographic measurement and engineering survey of selected buildings was carried out to determine the defects and insufficiencies that might accompanied these structures and their revitalization. Another point of my thesis was a possibility of revitalization by bonded facade. Mechanical resistance of bonded facade was verified throughout experimental testing and by mathematical calculation. The usability was confirmed on the basis of specific criteria that were stipulated in advance. The selected criteria are focused on areas which are important for investors. These are mainly financial cost, payback period but also the impact on the environment. Simulations and advanced methods of decision making were used.

There Is Softness Hidden in Your Walls : A Material Exploration Uncovering the Textile Elements in Building Construction

Salvall, Lisa January 2023 (has links)
A wall might appear as basic, a clean surface without an identity of its own, nothing but a clean slate upon which to leave any impression. Though the walls surrounding us are all but anonymous. They are built with a structure making them stand tall and strong. They are filled with insulation to keep us warm and sheltered. They are hard and they are soft. They can allow us to isolate ourselves from each other or they are fragile enough to let us know someone is on the other side. They cover the basic necessities of our houses, and we in return cover them to make our spaces less anonymous. There is softness hidden in your walls mainly aims to highlight the textile components of architecture which we usually never see. While we tend to view textiles mostly as decoration, they constantly perform in a lot of various ways all around us. In this project I have worked with prefabricated building materials that according to me have textile qualities, but they aren’t viewed as textile. Or I have tried to adapt textile techniques to non-textile materials to test them in new ways. The wall as the leading actor has first and foremost been used as a conversation partner for the material exploration and contextualization. The main material used is wool sheep insulation though many other materials have been put to the test throughout the process.

Упрочнение наплавленного слоя со структурой метастабильного аустенита деформационной обкаткой шаровым инструментом : магистерская диссертация / Hardening of weld with metastable austenite structure by surface deformation with a ball rolling device

И., Zverev, S. I. January 2019 (has links)
The study shows a technology comprising MIG deposition of cored wire like 50Cr18 with the subsequent surface deformation. Specially developed device realizes adjustable ball rolling load. The structure of the weld includes a large share of metastable austenite, which transforms to hard martensite at loading. The measuring shows that the technology provides an increase of the sample’s surface hardness from 40 HRC to 54 HRC and decrease it’s roughness from Ra 1,2 to Ra 0,4. The results allow using the technology applying to hydraulic pistons. The master's thesis includes 71 pages, 33 figures, 13 tables, 10 literary sources.
