IMPLEMENTING A TACTICAL TELEMETRY STYSTEM FOR MULTIPLE LAUNCH ROCKET SYSTEM (MLRS) STOCKPILE RELIABILITY TESTING

Cox, Corry 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 18-21, 2004 / Town & Country Resort, San Diego, California / The Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems (PFRMS) Program Office continually undertakes Stockpile Reliability Testing (SRP) to ensure the validity of the accumulated weapons and increase the she lf life of these weapon systems. MLRS is a legacy weapon system that has been undergoing SRP testing for over 20 years. The PFRMS Program Office has a need for a miniature Tactical Telemetry System that will monitor the fuze performance of the MLRS Rocket during SRP testing. This paper will address a technical approach of how a small Tactical Telemetry System could be built to meet this requirement. The Tactical Telemetry system proposed in this paper will monitor fuze functions, operate across the wide environmental spectrum of the SRP tests, and physically fit in the nose area without altering the overall tactical rocket appearance or operation.

The Native Andean gender system : three interpretive essays

Herencia, Cristina 27 April 2015 (has links)
My dissertation addresses and responds to research and practical interventions on gender in the Andean area. In it, I argue for the native Andean gender system's pertinence as an explanatory variable of past and present gender relations. This gender arrangement's name is 'Complementarity and Parallel Lines of Descent' (CPLD) (Silverblatt, 1985; Harris, 1987; Hardman, 2005; Vieira, 2005); it holds equivalent and complementary functions for women and men inside and outside the home. CPLD prevents women's subordination and the over-valuing of men's actions and characteristics on the basis of women's independent access to vital resources and the non-separation and non-primacy of the productive/public over the reproductive/private sphere (Roel Pineda, V., 1981-83; Lajo, J. 1985-6). Three independent studies show the empirical and theoretical importance of CPLD: 1) social identity observations during socio-anthropological field work on rural-to-urban migration in Lima, Peru (Lloyd, 1981; Herencia, 1985); 2) an historical monograph on CPLD's manifestations in the Tupac Amaru II Rebellion of the 1780's (Herencia, 1999); and 3) a political sociology essay on contemporary social movements in the Andes, seen through the prism of ethnicity and gender (Herencia, 2006). The transformation of gender relations through social identity moments (Study 1) serves to propose the theoretical coexistence and evolution, in a dominant/dominated condition, of engendered Native Andean and Western capitalist socio-cultural systems. For this reason, observations of gender at any point in time should consider the relation between the two. Also hypothetically, the Andean socio-cultural system's distinctive quality may result from Andean women's unrestricted social involvement, in contrast to that in the Western patriarchal capitalist system (and others). From a native people's perspective, conserving worldview and culture in past and present times implies preserving native gender relations. CPLD manifestations are ubiquitous in the Andean socio-cultural system’s traditions, beliefs and practices. Indigenous social movements need to fend off ideological barriers that obscure this gender system's existence, consciously ratifying and honoring the gender relations that continue to sustain the social reproduction of communities in not less than half the population of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and surrounding areas. CPLD's intrinsic merits are indispensable for a genuine response to capitalist patriarchy. / text

Videokort för VME-Bussen / Videocard for the VMEbus

Kingbäck, Andreas January 2003 (has links)
This report is about the construction and fabrication of a video card for the Versa Module Euro card (VME) bus. The card will be used as a platform in laborations in courses including the VM42 microcontroller from PEP Modular Computer. The card is able to display a resolution of at least 640x480 pixels with 24bit color. The heart in the construction is the Lattice® MACH4A3-384/160 Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD). All programming is done in Very High speed integrated hardware Description Language (VHDL) with the help of ActiveHDL, Synplify Pro®, ispDesignExpert and LatticePRO software tools.

Circuitos embebidos aplicados a equipos médicos

Gómez Cornejo Campana, David Yusseff January 2011 (has links)
This thesis describes the design guidelines from two medical teams, electrocardiogram and pulse oximetry using embedded logic circuitry such as FPGA and microcontrollers, digital filters used to filter the signals obtained from analog converters to digital, graphic obtaining the data is displayed in a graphic display GLCD, and has an interface to send data to a PC through a port USB 2 at full speed. The digital filters used are FIR filters, these filters are chosen to be linear and time invariant, developed with 40 coefficients FIR filters, these filters were implemented in the FPGA, use a FPGA that has implemented only 20 multipliers For the implementation we used the VHDL language and algorithmic state machines in order to control the 20 boxes and get the 40 products. Filtered data in the stage of the FPGA, are taken to a microcontroller that is responsible for managing the data, can lead to a graphic display GLCD, and so we can see the signal and obtained values or you can send the data to a PC right through USB port and software right through it can see the graphics on the PC.

Návrh elektroniky pro řízení dvoukolového nestabilního vozidla / Design of control unit for two-wheeled self-balancing vehicle

Bastl, Michal January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis is a part of a project of two students. The aim of the project is to design safer electronics for the unstable balancing vehicle HUMMER and implementation of advanced diagnostics and fault detection. In the first part of the project we analysed the original vehicle using the FMEA analyse and created a new concept of the vehicle. The second part of the project describes a new hardware. I designed and tested the power electronics, control unit and supplies. The outputs of the work are prototypes which allow testing a new concept.
