Šiame diplominiame darbe autorė apžvelgia buvusius ir dabartyje taikomus molbertinės tapybos dubliavimo metodus bei naudojamas medžiagas. Aprašomi žinomi paveikslų dubliavimo būdai Europoje.Nagrinėjami molbertinės tapybos paveikslų dubliavimo metodai LDM Prano Gudymo restauraimo centre, taikyti nuo įsikūrimo iki šių dienų. Lyginami įvairūs, skirtingų kūrinių konservavimo, dubliavimo atvejai. Detaliai aprašomas paveikslo "Biblijinė scena" konservavimo, dubliavimo procesas. Šiame darbe senieji žinomi molbertinės tapybos dubliavimo būdai bei panaudotos medžiagos lyginami su dabarties praktika ir metodais. Tyrimas atskleidė, jog kiekvienam darbui reikalingas kūrybiškas, metodiškas, mokslinis paveikslų konservavimo, dubliavimo metodas bei taikomos medžiagos. / Author of this Master’s Thesis reviews former and present methods and techniques of the lining of canvas paintings. Furthermore, all known European lining methods are described. Lining methods of the canv-as painting applied in Pranas Gudynas Center for Restoration since its foundation until present days are reviewed. Author reviews various cases of conservation and lining of the canvas paintings in Lithuania. Thesis describes in details conservation and lining process of the painting “Biblical Scene”. Old canvas paintings methods of lining, including the material used for lining, are compared in this Master’s Thesis. Research made reveals the fact that each piece of art needs creative, methodological, scientific approach to the conservation and lining methods and the materials used.

Magíster en Gestión y Dirección de Empresas / El problema de las infecciones intrahospitalarias (IIH) ha sido siempre un asunto de gran interés en estudios y gestión de instituciones de salud, dado que afectan a miles de personas cada año en nuestro país y millones en el mundo, con importantes consecuencias en la calidad de vida de las personas y sus familias, además de representar un alto costo para las instituciones y la sociedad. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo general generar casos de negocio para ser utilizados en el desarrollo del mercado de tecnologías a base de Cobre con fines antimicrobianos en Hospitales dado que representa una tecnología de gran eficacia en este problema. Para lograrlo se realizará una búsqueda bibliográfica para recopilar aquellos documentos adecuados para fundamentar el caso de negocio, se realizará una investigación descriptiva de los potenciales fabricantes y se confeccionará una base de datos de ellos, también una investigación descriptiva de las normativas e instituciones que participan en el diseño y gestión de instituciones de salud para sentar criterios de diseño y normalización, y se desarrollarán modelos de negocio tipo CANVAS para tipos de empresas comerciales que pudieran articular su oferta. Se confirma entonces que el problema de las IIH es muy importante para la sociedad y costoso para personas, instituciones y gobiernos. Pero afortunadamente hoy existe contundencia científica que avala; que el uso de tecnologías a base de Cobre es una alternativa altamente efectiva para combatir las IIH en salas UCI. Se encuentra que, a pesar de deficiencias en el mercado con oferta y demanda débiles, es posible manejar una alta cantidad de stakeholders en pro del desarrollo e implementación de estas tecnologías a través de la normativa de estándares que exige el Ministerio de Salud a través de la Seremi de Salud, especificando los 6 puntos clave a tratar con tecnologías de Cobre. Se concluye que el caso de negocios para un Hospital o Clínica es atractivo bajo varios supuestos, indicando la conveniencia de implementar estas tecnologías por las estrategias adecuadas a cada proyecto, registrando períodos de retorno sobre la inversión mínimos entre 2 a 10 meses. Finalmente se encuentra que los Modelos de Negocios ensayados dan cuenta de la factibilidad de la gestión del negocio para empresas que actualmente operan en el mercado de insumos para Hospitales, incluyendo un modelo tipo Leasing para dar alternativa financiera a las instituciones que lo requieran. / 19/11/2019

The stenciled, sculpted, or painted word is a central motif in approximately thirty major paintings produced by Jasper Johns between 1955 and 1964. For Johns, who often recycles important ideas in his work, the written word is a key element that transcends other stylistic and iconographic transformations during this period. The words in Johns' paintings refer to the names of colors, label familiar objects or title his compositions. The written word appears in works by other artists prior to 1955, and therefore Johns' significance lies not so much in the establishment of a new aesthetic vocabulary, but in exploring ways that language works in the visual arts. Because Johns' use of word imagery from 1955-1964 is innovative and important, it is the purpose of this thesis to examine the different ways that Johns approaches the subject of language within the framework of painting.

Nature never ceases to amaze me with momentary observations of fluid energy: the purposeful curvature of a blue heron's neck; the pattern of water as it sweeps across a rock sculpted by that very motion; the changing light and shadows created as wind blows through tall grasses. The spark of beauty in these moments lies in the energy that causes this constant change. To capture this energy, either potential or kinetic, and embody it through textures and flow of mass, is my essential goal as an artist.

My paintings are inspired by the places I have seen, as well as the people God has placed in my path. The individuals in my portraits are some of the people with whom I have shared a special bond. Upon reflection, they have been instrumental in deepening my faith. Their love, prayers, support, and deep questioning of my beliefs have enhanced my understanding of God and helped to strengthen my relationship with Him. 1 am very thankful for the ability to paint their portraits as an expression of my gratitude and love. God has also blessed me with opportunities to travel and experience His creation in different areas of the world. One moment I felt closest to Him was in Alaska as I stood awestruck at the bottom of a glacier-coated mountain, without a manmade object in sight. The vastness and icy glow of the mountain surrounded by lush greenery filled me with a sense of God's presence. In my landscape paintings, I attempt to capture these moments on canvas. I can never quite attain the original beauty of the landscape but I use vibrant colors in an attempt to recreate the majestic nature of God's creation, the original master artist.

"Unsex Me Here…" is an examination of our bodies, what they mean in terms of gender and power, and why they mean what they do. Plucked from Lady Macbeth’s infamous soliloquy, the title suggests the stripping away of something essential that transforms. Sex is not the right word, but gender is. Often, these two are mistaken and interchanged. Myths that support our social structure exist at the intersection of sex and gender. In this production, I collaborated with Pete Guither of the Living Canvas to challenge notions of gender in different textual mediums (via the written text of Shakespeare’s "Macbeth" and the text of the body itself) ultimately moving towards a space in which greater body understanding and acceptance exists. Our goal was a theatrical event that was both artistically beautiful and transformational not only for the artists involved in the process of making the piece but the audience as well.

Problem: Recently, the demand for more sustainable farming and production has increased due to climate changes and the decreasing biodiversity. Furthermore, in Sweden, more and more milk producers are facing bankruptcy because of the present situation in the dairy industry which also demands social responsibility towards them. Therefore, dairy companies need to embed sustainability into their business model. Previous literatures indicate that sustainable business models which integrate sustainability into organization could maintain and increase profitability and at the same time ensure social and environmental capital in the future. However, there is still a lack of information and empirical data on the scope of how sustainability is embedded into a business. Purpose: to increase understanding of sustainability in dairy company and what sustainability aspect might be important to embed into their business model. Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework is developed for the purpose of this research. It discusses the definition of Business model and Sustainable business model. Also, two sustainable business model canvases that could be used as analyzing tools to investigate an organization and its operational activities which are presented and compared. This part focuses on presenting framework and explanation of Flourishing business canvas which will be implemented in the analysis. Methodology: The study approaches on a qualitative study of an extreme case where parts of empirical data has been collected from interviews with the case company, the rest of empirical data has been gathered from the case company’s CSR reports and their annual reports. The case company is working with sustainability in their business. Conclusion: As findings of purpose and research question, Arla have embedded sustainability into their business model, however they still need to develop further in their work with sustainability to benefit more from their business model. The case company has embedded all three main contexts of sustainability: economic, social and environmental contexts. However, the focus is more on the financial context. Limitation: The findings need more investigation of other dairy companies to be generalized. Furthermore, this thesis only investigated the current business model.

Magíster en Gestión para la Globalización / Este informe presenta el trabajo realizado para estudiar y diseñar un plan de negocios que permita el ingreso del producto innovador Smart-Tap al mercado nacional y obtener una primera evaluación del Americano para una potencial exportación del producto. Smart-Tap es un dispositivo que busca solucionar las pérdidas de agua potable que día a día se producen en la ducha de los hogares, cada vez que se espera que el agua alcance temperatura, justo antes de tomar una ducha. Así, Smart-Tap es una solución para disminuir las pérdidas, cuidar el recurso agua y el medio ambiente, y disminuir la cuenta mensual por servicio de agua. El estudio se realiza siguiendo la metodología Canvas, comenzando con una propuesta del modelo de negocios básico e iterando cada una de las etapas hasta conseguir un Canvas revisado, que permita tener un mayor grado de certidumbre para el modelo de negocios. El modelo de negocios propuesto busca la venta directa del producto al usuario final, por medio de la incorporación de un socio estratégico que permita acceder rápidamente al mercado, utilizando su propia logística y puntos de venta. El segmento de mercado considera a las personas con conciencia del cuidado del medio ambiente y del segmento socioeconómico medio y alto, en una primera etapa. En términos financieros, el proyecto considera una inversión de 14 millones de pesos, un precio estimado de venta del producto de $25.000 y una tasa de descuento (Hurdle Rate) de 40%, en un escenario conservador. Con esto se consigue un valor presente neto de 510 millones de pesos, del cual un 77% proviene del flujo de los primeros 5 años. Estos indicadores sólo consideran la primera etapa del proyecto, es decir la penetración del mercado nacional. Luego, la estimación de valor puede ser mayor accediendo de manera exitosa a otros mercados latinoamericanos e incluso Estados Unidos, país que posee una de las tarifas más elevadas por metro cúbico de agua en la región. El proyecto logra un interesante valor presente de 510 millones de pesos bajo condiciones de un escenario conservador, el cual podría variar desde 398 hasta 711 millones, dependiendo de un escenario pesimista o optimista. En gran medida el éxito del proyecto depende de la correcta incorporación de un socio estratégico para el desarrollo de la logística y del lanzamiento de campañas que permitan dar a conocer el producto como una alternativa real y de bajo costo para el cuidado del recurso agua. Esto debe ser desarrollado en múltiples frentes, desde la participación en ferias de innovación y cuidado medioambiental, utilización de medios digitales y audiovisuales de difusión, hasta conversaciones con el Ministerio de Vivienda (o Corfo) para estudiar la factibilidad de instaurar Smart-Tap como un nuevo estándar en la construcción de viviendas sociales eficientes u otras.

Canvas är den nya lärplattformen som har upphandlats bland annat på Karlstad Universitet och som har ersatt den gamla lärplattformen ItsLearning. Men genom att ersätta ett helt system med ett nytt kan det uppstå problem och brister med användandet. Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera problem som användarna upplever på lärplattformen Canvas. Genom att sedan analysera dessa problem och brister så går det att utveckla råd och rekommendationer för hur de kan åtgärdas. För att identifiera dessa problem och brister har kvalitativa intervjuer använts och de personer som blivit intervjuade är studenter och lärare på Karlstads universitet, som får svara på frågor om deras användande och upplevelser av lärplattformen Canvas. Utifrån dessa resultat går det sedan att se vad som dessa användare anser fungera bra och vad som inte fungerar bra och sedan komma med förslag på lösningar till dessa problem och råd och rekommendationer om vad som bör göras för att gå vidare. Intervjuerna som har utförts avslöjar brister inom lärplattformen Canvas, där framförallt grupper, inlämning och bedömning av uppgifter, navigation, betygssättning samt den inbyggda mailfunktionen nämns som de största problemen utav användarna. Genom att analysera svaren så ges en förklaring till varför dessa är de största problemen. I analysen delas de problem som användarna yttrar sig om upp i kategorier beroende på vilken designprincip de tillhör för att kunna ge en helhetsbild av vad för typer av problem som det finns på lärplattformen Canvas. En del av användarna yttrar sig även om helt defekta delar på Canvas, som de anser bör ha upptäckts tidigare och åtgärdats. Med hjälp av analysen går det att dra slutsatser om varför och hur problemen har uppstått och vad som bör göras för att åtgärda dessa problem och brister. En undermålig kravinsamling samt att lärplattformen är ny för många användare anses vara de underliggande orsakerna till varför användarna uttrycker sitt missnöje med Canvas

Webbapplikationer blir mer och mer avancerade och ställer mer krav på dagens enheter. Rendering av grafik i HTML5 canvas är något som kan ställa stort krav på enheter och en påföljd av detta är att svarstiden blir lång. En eventuell lösning på problemet med bristande prestanda hos enheter är att förflytta renderingen från klientsidan till serversidan. Två versioner av samma webbapplikation skapades där renderingen sker på klientsidan i en version och på serversidan i annan version med hjälp av Node.js. Webbapplikationen renderar diagram som baseras på olika variabler. Tester genomfördes för att jämföra versionerna, där det visade sig att klientversionen var den version som resulterade i lägst svarstid och minst överförd datamängd. Ytterligare tester med större skillnad gällande prestanda och typ för enheter är av intresse för framtida arbete.
