Zaměstnávání cizinců / Employment of ForeignersHrdina, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
69 Abstract The main goal of the diploma thesis "Employment of foreigners" is to summarize and critically evaluate the current legislation regarding the employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic, both for foreigners from countries which are not Member States of the European Union and also employment of citizens of the European Union since a separate regime applies to each of these groups under the Czech law. The thesis itself is divided into the introduction, four main chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter defines the most important legal terms which are crucial for the elaboration of the thesis, i.e. in particular a foreigner - as a general term as well as the legal definition stipulated in the Act on Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, a family member of an EU citizen or a Czech citizen respectively, an employee, an employer and employment. The second chapter deals with the current legal status and concept of employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic with focus on individual types of residence permits, types of individual work permits as well as on employers' obligations and necessary steps when employing EU citizens or foreigners in the Czech Republic. The third chapter defines the term "illegal work" and deals with its impact on the Czech environment, not only from a...

Optimization of the Assignment of Printed Circuit Cards to Assembly Lines in Electronics AssemblyBhoja, Sudeer 28 September 1998 (has links)
The focus of this research is the line assignment problem in printed circuit card assembly systems. The line assignment problem involves the allocation of circuit card types to an appropriate assembly line among a set of assembly lines with the objective of reducing the total assembly time. These circuit cards are to be assembled in a manufacturing facility, capable of simultaneously producing a wide variety of printed circuit cards in different production volumes. A set of component types is required for each printed circuit card. The objective is to assign the circuit cards to the assembly line such that the total assembly time, which includes the setup time as well as the processing time required for all card types in a set, is minimized.
The focus of this research is to develop an algorithmic strategy for addressing this problem in electronics assembly. This problem involves considering several interrelated decision problems such as assigning printed circuit cards to assembly lines, grouping circuit cards into families to reduce the number of setups, and assigning component types to machines to balance workload. The line assignment models are formulated as large scale mixed integer programming problems and are solved using a branch-and-bound algorithm, supplemented by techniques for improving the solution time. The models and solution approaches are demonstrated using industry representative data sets and can serve as useful decision support tools for process planning engineers. / Master of Science

Lika handlare tänker olika : En studie om korttransaktionskostnader och beloppsgränserForsgren, Filip, Lindvall, Amanda, Alfredsson, Niklas January 2013 (has links)
As a consumer, you can use cards for payment more or less everywhere you go, however, it is not certain that the card can be used for all purchases. When a customer pays with card there arises a card transaction fee charged to the merchant. This is a big problem for businesses where transactions with small amounts are a large portion of sales. An observation at the beginning of this study showed that seemingly similar merchants have chosen to solve this problem in different ways. Some merchant’s refuses card purchases below a certain amount, while others accept card with any purchase. This study aims to create understanding why there is a difference between these merchants. Fifteen different merchants in kiosks, shops, cafes and convenience stores were interviewed. To analyze the collected data the investigator’s used “The Balanced Scorecard”. The model’s purpose is to illustrate a way of thinking of performance management and which factors are of importance. The responses from the interviews were categorized into “The Balanced Scorecards” four perspectives in order to see differences, similarities and patterns. The survey shows two distinct patterns. The six merchants who chosen not to have a threshold for card payments says that service towards the customers is the most important factor behind the decision. These merchants are aware that some purchases are unprofitable but they see a better financial result in future if their customers are satisfied. All of the other nine merchants who have a threshold indicate financial motives as a basis for their decisions. These merchants are more likely to see the effect to the individual transaction in which the nonprofitability of each purchase gives an inferior total result and therefore should be avoided.

Mokėjimo kortelių ir kitų mokėjimo priemonių išleidimas ir operacijų su jomis atlikimas / Issuance of payment cards and other means of payment and carrying out of operations therewithLukšė, Erika 25 January 2008 (has links)
The development of telecommunications and information technologies changed in the essence the character of commercial activity. Business, which quite recently existed only in the traditional (paper) medium, having acquired other forms, got transferred into new digital spaces. This sphere of activity expanded traditional commerce to electronic one, where all financial, settlement and other relations are being maintained by modern means of communication. Nevertheless, new technologies, wide opportunities of their application and increasing needs of consumers give challenge to the traditional procedure. A need and even necessity emerges to form the sufficient legal basis, which would regulate the origin of new instruments of payment, would enforce the legal relations between consumers and issuers, the mutual obligations of the parties, and principles of civil liability. Therefore, notwithstanding the fact that payment cards have become a comprehensible phenomenon, however, the regulation of those instruments of electronic payment is insufficient. Legal certainty does not exist in respect of other instruments of electronic payment either. Due to this reason, in this Master thesis, a legal analysis of payment cards and electronic payment instruments is given in the context of Lithuania and European Union, possible gaps in the regulation, causes of their emergence are identified, and proposals are provided.

The use of a single smart card for transit and non-transit systems : a Singapore case studySenkodu, Chandra Segaran January 2008 (has links)
Governments around the world are investing heavily in smart card infrastructure to enhance transport services. Studies show that smart card technology can improve reliability, reduce maintenance costs, provide a longer life span, and allow more applications to be incorporated in a transit card. As a result, policy makers and transport owners are interested in extending the use of smart cards from transit to non-transit systems to capitalise on their investment. However, little is known about the conditions under which customers would adopt transit cards for non-transit transactions. In Singapore, a contactless transit smart card (ez-link card) was launched in April 2002 to replace the magnetic stored-value card, which was commissioned in December 1990. The ez-link card was introduced as an integrated public transport card for use both on buses and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains. This study was undertaken to evaluate customers' response to the use of the ez-link card for non-transit transactions. As the ez-link card is an information technology (IT) product and the first of its kind in the Singapore public transport system, there is a need to understand and appreciate how customers would respond to the change in its use. Various theories and models such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Diffusion (TD), Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) were reviewed for their potential to understand and predict customers' intentions to use the ez-link card for non-transit transactions. After much review, the TPB was adopted for identifying the research model and hypotheses in this study. The TPB was used to develop the research model and hypotheses comprising one dependent variable (intention INT) and three independent variables (attitude - ATT, subjective norm - SN and perceived behavioral control - PBC). The TPB was also used to design the questionnaire comprising 16 items to collect data from customers using the ez-link card at bus interchanges and train stations located around Singapore. A pilot survey was conducted on 21 respondents using the intercept interview technique. The data were collected and analysed. With slight modifications, the questionnaire was then used with 300 respondents in the final survey. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data collected from 293 respondents (seven were outliers) using the intercept interview technique in the final survey. Regression analysis explained 80% of the variance in the customers' intention to use the ez-link card for non-transit transactions. While the results provided initial support for the TPB, further examination of the data using exploratory factor analysis revealed high correlations between the ATT and SN. This study concluded that a more parsimonious model would only extract two independent variables (Desirability - DES and Perceived Convenience PEC) to predict customers' intention to use the ez-link card for non-transit transactions. DES and PEC were used to develop a new
