A educação jesuitica no Brasil colonial e a pedagogia de Anchieta : catequese e dominação / The jesuit education in Brazil colonial and the pedagogy of Anchieta : catechesis and domination

Nolasco, Patricia Carmello 26 February 2008 (has links)
Orientador: Sergio Eduardo Montes Castanho / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Educação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-11T02:00:53Z (GMT). Os mecanismos utilizados nessa empreitada foram os recursos da força do discurso presentes no teatro, na ¿Doutrina Cristã¿ e na poesia anchietana, que eram apresentadas como representação de mundo aos gentios / Abstract: The present study analyses the Jesuitic catechetical action in the XVI century Portuguese colony through some works of the Priest José de Anchieta considering that Education in Brazil began by catechesis. In this period, catechesis, education, and colonization were happening together to meet metropolitan interests: the colonization while land possession and exploitation; the education through the people acculturation dominated by catechesis. The Jesuitical action was part of the colonial enterprise and the colonial enterprise acted as part and instrument of primitive capital accumulation. It is related to the transition movement from Feudalism to Capitalism in Europe, which was responsible for the creation of supporting conditions, taking into account its features. The work of José de Anchieta acted in the sense of making possible the acculturation of the primitive inhabitants from the newly discovered lands favoring the victory of the European economic model in America. To that end, it was impossible to have tolerance with the native customs. Anchieta acted in his work against the cultural elements of the Indians which were incompatible with the European way of life. In the name of god and of the king, it was necessary to destroy the whole basis of the indigenous culture in a radical way, since it did not match with the logic of wealth circulation and goods accumulation, the essence of the colonizing undertaking. The pedagogy of Anchieta through his work (the theater, the poetry, and the catechism) consisted in developing countless strategies that were beyond the schools to teach the fundamentalism to his pupils. By this way, he managed to achieve the subjection and the domination of these people. The first century of Brazil¿s colonization prepared the ground for what was to be set like education during the whole colonial period and it was also the scene of the evangelizing Jesuitical mission in the colony, which brought along an educational and evangelizing character. In this work, catechesis was understood as ¿an education of souls¿, used as a tool for the European colonizing project and it was essential in the formation of the Brazilian colonial society. The mechanisms used in this commission were the resources from the power of the speech present in the theater, in the ¿Christian Doctrine¿, and in the Anchieta¿s poetry, shown as a world representation to the heathens / Mestrado / Historia, Filosofia e Educação / Mestre em Educação

As bolsas de mandinga no espaço atlântico: século XVIII / The purse\'s mandinga in Atlantic: XVIIIth century

Vanicleia Silva Santos 11 August 2008 (has links)
Among the magical practices done by Africans and Creoles in the Portuguese Empire, we can point out charms in shape of small bags containing specific ingredients that protected against harm made by guns and illness. Their popularity intrigued the Inquisition and their agents had called them bolsa de mandinga, and the people who made them mandingueiros, interpreting those practices as manifestations of sorcery. This research tries to analyze the bolsas de mandinga utilized in the Atlantic societies as a result of the recreation of African traditions in the world of slavery and circulation of knowledge related to Africans from different origins, based in a Bantu culture associated with Christianity.

Seeking to contribute to the historiography about the history of the Indians in Brazil, especially in reference to social, political and cultural in the settlements, this dissertation proposes the understanding of indigenous policy that was in force in the province of Minas Gerais between 1873 and 1889. We chose as object of analysis the Indians' Village of Itambacuri, founded in 1873 in the north of Minas Gerais by Italian missionaries of the order of the Capuchins. The choice of this village was motivated by its longer duration in comparison to other settlements created at the same period and by its importance its centrality to the understanding of provincial Indian policy and imperial. To problematize the social organization and daily life from village of Itambacuri, we sought to recognize the negotiations and disputes that marked the interethnic relations between the different subjects who experienced that experience, from the directors priests, Indians from different ethnic groups and adjacent populations to Itambacuri. The local and provincial elites are included in this scenario. They sought their control over the lands of the valley of the Mucuri, beyond their control over the indigenous labor of those "hinterlands". It’s important to notice that the provincial experience of indigenous policy practiced in Minas was designed in line with the guidelines proposals from the court. So, this dissertation also goes towards understanding the imperial political scenario, the debate on the indigenous issue before and after the promulgation of the Regulation about the catechetical mission and indians civilization in 1845. Thus, the analysis of parliamentary debates in the Senate before to the promulgation of an indigenous policy for Indians’ catechesis and Indians’ "civilization" from the Empire provinces shows nebulosity that hung over this complex question. By analyzing these debates we put in evidence a field very little explored by historiography to think about, for example, the different integration proposals of Indians into the nineteenth century society. Therefore, this study sought to reconcile the similarities and differences of a national indigenous policy which should be applied in all provinces with the adaptations suffered by this one when it was introduced in Minas Gerais. Beyond the political debate, we sought to demonstrate the paths of different indigenous peoples who lived in different ways the new and old relations brought and maintained by the new indigenous Regulation.

Oligokatecheze. Teorie a praxe / Special catechesis. Theory and Practice

Świerczková, Agnieszka January 2011 (has links)
This dissertation titled "Special catechesis. Theory and Practice" explores the methods of teaching religion to mentally handicapped children. The research focuses on the presentation of theoretical and practical methods introduced by D, Jucha, J. Madeja, D.Doroszewka, B. Janosz and other significant Polish catechists. The theoretical part, besides a systematicly processed terminology also deals with the actual content and the main aim of special-care catechesis. In addition, it provides an interpretation the dignity of man as it can be found in some church archives. Last, but not least, attention is drawn to the important role of families, parishes and catechists. The second, practical, part is inspired by the methods of B. Janosz - whether it is put to creative use along with new teaching materials as well as new communication tools that motivate mentally handicapped children for active participation in special-care classes. The author of this study concluded that even the weakest must be provided adequate catechesis as every human being, no matter how limited, is capable of growth to sanctity. These people feel the need and are entitled to life in faith. There is a need for oligo-catechesis and it is unquestionable.

[en] PROCESSES OF INITIATION INTO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE AND RESILIENCE: A THEOLOGICAL-PASTORAL ACADEMIC STUDY ON CATECHESIS WITH ADULTS IN THE PARISH OF OUR LADY OF THE NAVIGATORS / [pt] PROCESSOS DE INICIAÇÃO À VIDA CRISTÃ E RESILIÊNCIA: UM ESTUDO TEOLÓGICO-PASTORAL SOBRE A CATEQUESE COM ADULTOS NA PARÓQUIA NOSSA SENHORA DOS NAVEGANTES (DIADEMA/SP)

EDUARDO ANTONIO CALANDRO 03 February 2020 (has links)
[en] This research presents is a dialogue between Pastoral Theology and Positive Psychology, themes that are correlated and, at the same time, challenge us as we propose to make an interdisciplinary reflection. It is an urgency in the Church, the process of initiation into the Christian life that leads one to a personal and com-munal encounter with Christ. This is possible only through a consistent experience of faith experienced from a catechetical itinerary that guides all action of the be-ginner, therefore strengthening resilience to the adversities of daily life. By the purpose to reflect, from a field survey, on the theological-pastoral aspects of adult catechesis and to analyze the importance of all of its itinerary as a promoter of resilience. The process of initiation into the Christian life is not depleted in the preparation for the sacraments, but it is a path for following and adhering to Christ, and it must be made and redone, whenever necessary, with the goal of in-serting the person into the Christian community. In this survey, resilience is understood as ability to overcome adverse situations and the experience of faith experienced throughout the journey is considered a lever, something more than a person possesses to be resilient. It is a qualitative research, of exploratory charac-ter, with analytical-hermeneutical orientation, through the focus group technique with open questions. The subjects are adults who participate in catechesis in the Parish of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, in Diadema. The theological-pastoral study of the data collected followed the technique of Bardin s analysis. By the participants accounts, the whole process of initiation into the Christian life is the ordinary and consistent way of helping a person initiate and deepen the experience of faith that gives him the ability to develop well, to continue projecting himself despite destabilizing events and difficult living conditions. The catechetical itiner-ary that leads the adult to the follow-up of Jesus Christ and inserts him into the Christian community is also capable of helping him overcome, learn or even be transformed with the adversity that is inevitable to life.

Nieuwenhuis, F. J. 11 1900 (has links)
Indications are that youth, after twelve years of catechetical instruction, still have superficial knowledge, understanding and insight into biblical truths. This problem must be addressed within practical theology, because catechetical instruction is a communicative action in evangelical service. The practical theology can make a contribution by describing and interpreting the multifarious and multifaceted world of the youth (as praxis). In this way, greater insight can be gained into the spiritual life of the youth and ways can be explored to reach youth more effectively with the Word. This study, by means of a descriptive and analytical review of experiential learning, attempts to determine whether experiential learning could be used to effectively disclose biblical truths. The approach was based on the learning paradigm and a constructivistic view of learning. The merit of using experiential learning in youth work must be seen from a practical theology perspective where the praxis was critically examined with a view of optimising the communicative interaction between youth and youth workers. / Philosophy, Practical & Systematic Theology / Thesis (M. Die implikasies van Pierre Babin se boek The new era in religious communication vir 'n kontemporêre jeugbedieningsmodel

Roux, Anton 11 1900 (has links)
The ministering of the gospel to the youth within the Dutch Reformed Church finds itself in a rapid at present and is calling for rejuvenation and change. Underlying to this crisis, is the spirit of the times known as Post Modernism. The latter has a decisive influence on the way the youth of today hear and learn the gospel. It also has a conclusive impact on communicating religion. Pierre Babin argued in his book The New Era in Religious Communication five concepts which cast light on the new era which has arrived in the communication of religion. These address the crisis of the new era effectively. He emphasizes the following main concepts: • The shift from the Gutenberg era to the audiovisual era • The impact of the electronic era on faith • The way of beauty • The symbolic way • Stereo catechesis. The author is of the opinion that these concepts, as formulated by Babin, pave the way for an effective, contemporary model for ministering the gospel to the youth within the South African context. / Practical Theology / M.
