Escuro: uma dramaturgia cúmplice / Escuro: uma dramaturgia cúmplice

Moreira, Leonardo Faria 22 October 2010 (has links)
Unindo a teoria apresentada à experimentação prática, descrevese o processo criativo do espetáculo Escuro. / This study attempts to use concepts related to collective and interactive communication media as tools for analysis and proposition in a process of dramatic creation: a diagram of potential playwritings that resulted in the play Escuro. In other words, we follow the process of creating that play, analyzing it through the metaphorical transport of some concepts proposed by Janet H.Murray to describe narratives in virtual environment (immersion, agency and procedural authorship) and comparing it to other contemporary playwrights who have served as a model for the creation. The first part of this text deals with the digital environment, mainly from the theories of Janet H.Murray. The idea is to point out particular terminologies and describe the main features of the digital environment, these concepts will be used as analytical tools and metaphors to talk about creating drama. In the second part, we finalize the metaphorical transport between theater and digital media through brief analysis of fragments of contemporary dramaturgy that has served as a model for the creation of \"Escuro\", particularly excursions to the daily language and the landscapes of the Michel Vinaver; the hybrid text, which moves between reality and lyricism, of Federico Leon, and a textual record of a Theatre de Complicitès play. Then, we have reached a third time and the center of this work when, instead of using concepts of the digital environment for reading and analysis, we use them as tools of proposition, namely writing. Uniting the presented theory to the practice, the creative process of Escuro\" is described. The research covers not only the analysis of the theatrical text, but also the analysis of its construction. It is not, of course, the documentation of a performance in preparation, but a theoretical reflection on the process of creation. Finally, we present the map created in a dramaturgical process with the collaboration of ten actors and a possible agency, a possible organization to the dramatic hypertext.

The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze texts written by contemporary playwrights from the city of São Paulo, between the years of 2005 to 2015, considering a relationship between text and the scene within the dramaturgies, identifying and reflecting on a presence of incorporated elements of a scenic grammar that evoke materialities in its textual structures. The analysis starts from the debate about the change in the state of the text throughout the twentieth century, considering the double movement of emancipation of the text and the scene in relation to the tutelage of the dramatic genre, which sets up new possibilities of writing and staging more permissible among themselves. Based on theoretical references in the first chapter, an analysis evaluation is created for the examination of selected dramaturgies, with the aim of positioning, in the third chapter, between two poles: mythos and opsis - and later considered recurrent polarities between devices found in the texts. The corpus of this dissertation, analyzed in the second chapter, is composed of texts by authors who won the Shell Prize of Theater in São Paulo in the category of Best Author in the period of eleven years - until the beginning of the research. This methodological cut is resumed at the end of the third chapter with the aim of establishing connections between the process of legitimation of cultural goods by instances of consecration, according to a conception of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, and the dramaturgical structures analyzed, on the unfolding between theory and practice in contemporaneity, as well as on the function of the author and the notion of authorship, in the context of the new state of the theatrical text - and in the place of the playwright - in the process of creation.

[en] THE EMERGENCE OF THE REAL IN THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE / [pt] A EMERGÊNCIA DO REAL NA EXPERIÊNCIA TEATRAL

BRUNO SANTOS AUGUSTO 27 March 2019 (has links)
[en] The master thesis The Emergence of the Real in Theatrical Experience offers a critical view on the play Nu de mim mesmo (Nude of myself) staged in Rio de Janeiro, in 2008, by the Companhia Teatro Autônomo (Autonomous Theatre Company) which represents an innovative reference in the Carioca theatre scenery of the past twenty years. Created in a collaborative process involving actors and the direction of Jefferson Miranda, in partnership with Flavio Graff, this production, based on the theatrical field in its specificity and materiality, also establishes dialogues with the fields of Literature, Fine Arts and Cinema. Throughout a metalinguistic driven investigation, the group can be inserted into a particular branch of the contemporary theatre that questions its own limits, offering an advantageous experimental field to the intercrossing of various medias. Within this scope, with an approach that is close to the constructivist perspective, the thesis rehearses alternative forms of understanding contemporary theatre, and analyzes concepts such as reality, meaning and identity, all of them understood beyond the reality/fiction dichotomy.

[pt] A COISA E O (IM)PRÓPRIO: EM TORNO DE STIFTERS DINGE (2007), DE HEINER GOEBBELS / [en] THE THING AND THE (IM)PROPER: REGARDING HEINER GOEBBEL S STIFTERS DINGE (2007)

RODRIGO BORGES CARRIJO 29 April 2021 (has links)
[en] This dissertation takes as its starting point the German composer and director Heiner Goebbels s performative installation Stifters Dinge (2007), seeking to experiment and bring into discussion some impasses related to acts of reading and writing in the present. The research is carried out through an essayistic, fragmentary and indisciplinary perspective - that is, one that is resistant to rigid adherences to disciplines and well-demarcated theoretical critical approaches. On the one hand, the aim of this study is to try to react to the problems of interpretation and representation shaped by the disturbing experience of Stifters Dinge, which is also described by its director as a composition for five pianos with no pianists, a play with nobody acting, and a performance with no performers. On the other hand, it intends to interrogate forms of legibility and valuation in the expanded field of arts today, moving through exploratory and inconclusive paths in a writing supported by the barthesian notion of écriture. In the transit between aesthetics and politics, forms and effects, critical theory and epistemology, the dissertation performs a thorough examination of Stifters Dinge taking into consideration both the performative condition of the theoretical critical activity and some fundamental tensenesses on the relation between language and constitution of knowledge.

Politique du jeu : les dispositifs ludiques dans la dramaturgie latino-américaine contemporaine (Fabio Rubiano, Rafael Spregelburd et Gabriel Calderón) / The politics of play : playful apparatuses in contemporary latin american playwriting (Fabio Rubiano, Rafael Spregelburd and Gabriel Calderón) / Política del juego : los dispositivos lúdicos en la dramaturgia latinoamericana actual (Fabio Rubiano, Rafael Spregelburd y Gabriel Calderón )

Jambrina, Nina 25 January 2017 (has links)
At first glance, there is not much to be said about the relation between play and politics. And yet, this thesis questions the gap between playful mode and political perspective at a time when the latter is being asked to renew its theatrical forms and means in a more general context of disavowal of the political practice since the end of the 1980s. As part of an open dialogue between the Latin-American experience and the rest of the international scene, this work focuses on the ways in which the play model participates in a redefinition of a theatre striving to be political. First, it allows for the apprehension of transformations within the Latin-American theatrical context of the end of the 20th Century when its model of a politically engaged theatre was being questioned. Furthermore, it becomes a tool to study texts by Fabio Rubiano (b. 1963, Colombia) Rafael Spregelburd (b. 1970, Argentina) and Gabriel Calderón (b. 1982, Uruguay), and their specific articulation to the political. A politics of play, following Jacques Rancière’s “politics of aesthetics”, is being charted here, and it allows for the political perspective to exist as a critique of the present and as a desire for transformation, based on its own relation to the real, production of meaning and idea of the viewer. Between politics and play, two main directions can be drawn out within this corpus. Play first functions as a paradoxical means for a critique. It creates playful heteropias which distance themselves from the present to better outline the dystopic map of its flaws and failures. Subsequently or simultaneously, it complicates this first critical interpretation with formal and fictional experimentations which put forth creativity itself. Although the utopic impact of these experimentations varies according to the text and its author, they still participate in formulating the premise of a transformation to come.
