A transmissão de dados e informação na fibra óptica vem aumentando nos últimos anos. O interesse para avaliar melhor a confiabilidade mecânica tomou-se uma necessidade, depois que uma fibra, de um cabo instalado, estava se partindo com muita facilidade. O foco principal deste trabalho foi voltado para estabelecer metodologias para avaliar o estado de degradação dos polímeros usados. Através destas técnicas, buscou-se encontrar parâmetros (E\', E\", tan &#948, Tg, etc.) que pudessem indicar o estado de degradação dos revestimentos. Diferentes técnicas foram empregadas para avaliar o revestimento das fibras tais como: calorimetria exploratória diferencial (DSC), diferencial fotocalorimetria (DPC), análise térmica dinâmico mecânico (DMTA) e espectroscopia na região do infravermelho (FIIR). A partir da técnica desenvolvida, DMTA, esta pode ser empregada para avaliar a confiabilidade mecânica de várias fibras comercias. As técnicas DMTA e FIIR mostraram ser muito promissoras, pois consegue-se, através delas, obter muitos dados a respeito das características dos polímeros. / The datas and information transmission in the optical fiber have been increasing in the last years. The interest to evaluate the mechanical reliability became necessary, after that a optical fiber, from a cable installed, was cracking very easily. The principal aim of this work was establishing methodologies to evaluate the polymer degradation state. Through of this techniques we search to find out parameters (E\', E\", tan &#948, Tg. etc) that could denote the degradation state of the coatings. Different techniques were utilized to evaluate the coating of the optical fibers such as: differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), differential photocalorimeter (DPC), dynamic mechanic thermal analyzer (DMTA) and infrared spectroscopy (FIIR). From the method development (DMTA), it was possible to evaluate the mechanical realiability of many commercial fibers. DMTA and FTIR techniques shown to be very promising to obtain very dates to respect of polymer characteristics.

Etude structurale par RMN et modélisation moléculaire de peptides urotensinergiques, impliqués dans la régulation du système cardiovasculaire et la prolifération des cellules tumorales / Titre en anglais non fourni.

Ce travail de thèse a porté sur l’étude structurale de peptides urotensinergiques humains par DC, RMN etmodélisation moléculaire. L’hUII (11 aa) et son analogue l’URP (8 aa) sont considérés comme les peptides vasoactifs les plus puissants connus à ce jour et sont impliqués dans divers systèmes biologiques, notamment le système cardiovasculaire et la prolifération des cellules tumorales. Ces deux peptides sont des ligands endogènes d'un RCPG, l’UT. Ils peuvent exercer des actions physiologiques communes mais aussi divergentes. Afin d’apporter des éléments permettant une meilleure compréhension de leurs activités biologiques, nous avons, dans un premier temps, déterminé la structure 3D de trois agonistes (hUII4-11, URP,P5U) et d’un antagoniste (urantide) dans un milieu micellaire mimant les membranes des cellules eucaryotes, le DPC. Dans les quatre peptides, nous avons observé la présence de deux conformations majoritaires du pont disulfure, RHStaple et LHHook, qui sont connues pour être essentielles à l’activité biologique. Nous avons mis en évidence une différence de nature de coude entre les agonistes (coude β de type I) et l’antagoniste (coude β de type II’). Nos analyses ont également permis de montrer l’existence de variations d’orientation des chaînes latérales des résidus F6, Y9 et plus spécialement celle de W7 entre les agonistes etl’antagoniste. Le groupe indole du D-W7 présente ainsi une rotation de 180°. Dans un deuxième temps, nous avons mis en évidence un impact de la concentration sur la conformation de l’hUII qui n’est pas observé pour l’URP. Ce phénomène d’auto-association pourrait avoir une influence sur l’interaction avec le récepteur et être à l’origine des divergences d’activités biologiques entre l’hUII et l’URP. / This work aims to characterize the structure of human urotensinergic peptides by CD, NMR and molecular modelling. hUII (11 aa) and its analogue URP (8 aa) are considered as the most potent vasoactive peptides known so far and are involved in various biological systems, including the cardiovascular system and tumor cell proliferation. These two peptides are endogenous ligands of a GPCR, UT, and exert common but also divergent physiological actions. In order to gain a better understanding of their biological activities, we determined the structures of three agonists (hUII4-11, URP, P5U) and one antagonist (urantide), in DPC micelles, a cellular eukaryotic mimetic membrane. For all peptides, we observed the presence of two major forms of the disulfide bridge, RHStaple and LHHook, which are known to be essential for biological activity. We showed a difference in the turn nature between agonists (type I β turn) and the antagonist (type II’ β turn). Our analyses also revealed that, in agonists and antagonist, the side chain orientations of residues F6, Y9 and more specifically W7 were different. Indeed, the indole group of D-W7 exhibited a 180° rotation. Secondly, we showed that, contrary to URP, the conformation of hUII was dependent on concentration. This selfassembly phenomenon may impact the interaction with the receptor and be responsible for the differential biological activities of hUII and URP.

Immobilization Studies Utilizing Solid Supports For The Determination Of Fructose By Dansylaminophenylboronic Acid And Chromate By Diphenylcarbazide

Immobilization of fluorescent chemosensors and chromogenic reagents on solid supports for developing optical sensors result in improved analytical performance characteristics such as continuous read-out, increased sensitivity, lower reagent consumption and possibility of using the sensor in solvents where the free molecule displays low solubility. The aim of this study is to immobilize dansylaminophenyl boronic acid (DAPB acid) and diphenylcarbazide (DPC) into various solid supports for the determination of fructose and hexavalent chromium, respectively. DAPB acid reacts with diol containing molecules to produce electron transfer resulting fluorescence quenching. Whereas DPC reacts specifically with chromate to produce a magenta colored complex having absorption maximum at 540 nm. Utilizing sol-gel technology, inorganic polymer matrices which enabled to observe fluorescence and absorbance signal in VIS region has been constructed. Also methylmethacrylate (MMA) and methacrylic acid (MAA), which are known to give transparent organic co-polymers, are chosen as monomers in the synthesis of organic copolymer. Hydrogels such as polyvinyl alcohol and Ca-alginate gel have been utilized for their good optical characteristics in the working range. Several considerations in the construction of host matrix were taken into account, such as the porosity of the polymers, functionalization of the matrix and use of additives for increasing the affinity of the medium toward the dopant molecule and swelling properties of organic polymers. The performances of the immobilizations were evaluated in terms of the transmittance and leaching properties of the host matrix, optical properties of dopant and optical response characteristic of the dopant for the analyte. The sensor applications of the immobilized probe molecule DPC were investigated. Studies regarding the enhancement of the performance of the flow injection analysis method for fructose determination, previously carried out in our laboratory, based on the fluorescence quenching of DAPB acid probe in solution were stated.

Uma das grandes preocupações do processo de soldagem, é a tensão residual. Esse trabalho busca correlacionar os valores de tensões residuais longitudinal e transversais, com a tensão de recuo, fruto do efeito anisotrópico presente em chapas laminadas. As tensões residuais foram calculadas através do método teórico-experimental de deslocamento de pontos coordenados (DPC) e comparadas com o método consagrado de DR-X. O material utilizado foi um aço estrutural naval ASTM A131 Grau AH-36, soldado pelo processo MAG no sentido da laminação e transversalmente a ela. Após o processo de soldagem, foram feitos furos sobre a zona termicamente afetada (ZTA) e o cordão de solda. Suas coordenadas foram mapeadas a partir de um furo de referência, em uma máquina de medição por coordenadas (MMC). Posteriormente, as chapas passaram por um processo de alívio de tensão, onde ocorreram deslocamentos (escoamento) dos pontos em questão. A partir desses deslocamentos, as tensões residuais foram calculadas através da Lei de Hooke. Foi visto que os valores das tensões residuais calculadas pelo método DPC estão dentro do limite de tolerância dos valores medidos pelo método DR-X. A partir do ensaio de tração foi encontrada a tensão de recuo do material. / Welding is a mechanical process which helps join together parts of components, whilst at the same time, causes great setbacks if not well specified. One of many worries of the welding process are residual stresses left on the material. This work intends to relate longwise and crosswise residual stresses values through back stress, a result of the anisotropic effect of welded rolled steel sheets. Residual stresses were calculated through the theoretic-experimental method of displacements of coordinated points (DCP) and compared with the well-known X-Ray method. The used material was a naval structure steel ASTM A131 grade AH-36, welded by MAG process, both by rolling direction and transverse to it. After the welding process, the sheets had some points drilled over the heat affected zone (HAZ) and the weld bead, which were later mapped from an origin reference point by a coordinate measurement machine (CMM). Then, the sheets were submitted to an annealing heat treatment in which the previously mapped points would be displaced (yielding). From these displacements, residual stresses were calculated by using Hooke’s Law. It was seen that residual stresses values calculated by DCP method are within range of values measured by DR-X method. From the tensile strength test, the material back stress was found.

Neste trabalho, alguns parâmetros de soldagem foram escolhidos para analisar suas influências nas tensões residuais, obtidas através do método de Deslocamento de Pontos Coordenados (DPC) em chapas de aço naval ASTM A-131 grau AH-36. Chapas de teste com dimensões de 200 mm x 70 mm e 13,7 mm de espessura foram soldadas através do processo Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) seguindo o sentido de laminação. Para análise das tensões, foram escolhidas as condições de referência como: velocidade de soldagem de 6 mm/s, ângulo de bisel de 25° e tensão de soldagem média de 19,63 V. Posteriormente, cada um desses parâmetros foi variado, porém mantendo-se constantes os demais. Deste modo, foi possível estabelecer comparações entre um parâmetro dito padrão e suas variações. Para a chapa padrão, as médias das tensões residuais obtidas foram 138,13 MPa e 153,65 MPa, medidas a 3 mm e 2 mm da borda do cordão de solda, respectivamente. Para as amostras nas quais houve redução da velocidade de soldagem de 6mm/s para 3,5mm/s, as médias das tensões residuais medidas foram 34,67 MPa e 42,32 MPa, a 3 mm e 2mm da borda do cordão de solda, respectivamente. Para as amostras soldadas nas quais o ângulo de bisel foi aumentado de 25° para 35°, as médias das tensões residuais medidas foram 28,29 MPa e 31,96 MPa, a 3 mm e 2 mm da borda do cordão de solda, respectivamente. Por fim, para o aumento da tensão de soldagem média de 19,63 V para 26,48 V, as média das tensões residuais calculadas foram 50,81 Mpa e 47,39 MPa, a 3 mm e 2 mm da borda do cordão de solda, respectivamente. As tensões residuais calculadas apresentaram comportamentos esperados. Assim, foi evidenciado como a mudança de parâmetros de soldagem influencia de forma significativa as tensões residuais na peça soldada. / Choosing welding parameters is an important step of the welding process, which may influence directly in the heat input provided. In this study, some welding parameters were selected in order to analyze their influences in calculating residual stresses through Displacement of Coordinated Points (DCP) method in ASTM A-131 grade AH36 naval steel sheets. Samples with 200 mm x 70 mm and 13,7 mm thickness were welded through Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) process according to rolling direction. To analyze the stresses, standard conditions were defined, such as welding speed of 6 mm/s, bevel angle of 25°, average welding voltage of 19,63 V. Then, each parameter was switched, however, only one at a time, keeping the rest of them constant. This way it was possible to establish comparisons between a standard parameter's value and its variation. For the standard sample, the average residual stresses found were 138,13 MPa and 153,65 MPa, by 3 mm and 2 mm from bead margin, respectively. For the samples in which welding speed was lowered from 6 mm/s to 3,5 mm/s, the average measured residual stresses were 34,67 MPa and 42,32 MPa, by 3 mm and 2 mm from bead margin, respectively. For the welded samples in which bevel angle was increased from 25° to 35°, the average measured residual stresses were 28,29 MPa and 31,96 MPa, by 3 mm and 2 mm from bead margin, respectively. Finally, for an increase in average welding voltage from 19,63 V to 26,48 V, the average calculated residual stresses were 50,81 MPa and 47,39 MPa, by 3 mm and 2 mm from bead margin. The calculated residual stresses presented as expected. It was evidenced how changing welding parameters would influence the residual stresses in a welded component in a significant way.

Možnosti přenosu signalizace SS7 přes IP síť s využitím ústředny YATE / The possibilities of SS7 signalling transport over IP network using YATE switch

This study examines the use of SS7 signaling system over IP networks by using the open source PBX YATE. At first it starts with describing the SS7 followed by an explanation of the function of each of its levels and the messages that are used within the SS7 network. The study then sheds some light on the ways of using SS7 inside IP network with the use of some protocols. It also discusses the architecture of YATE and its files, and how it is installed in Linux operating system. Finally, it describes the important files for delivering this task. The study was commenced by using two virtual machines that have two different open source PBX's which are YATE and Asterisk, and after acquiring some results by establishing communication between them via the means of SIP trunk, furthermore the study was extended to the laboratory in order to test it over real servers that have TDM cards, in order to apply the study by the means of SS7 protocols, SIGTRAN, MGCP gateway and SIP-T. The experiments have almost delivered successful communications after conducting a configuration for the files on multiple sides.

Decentralized Packet Clustering in Router-Based Networks

Different types of decentralized clustering problems have been studied so far for networks and multi-agent systems. In this paper we introduce a new type of a decentralized clustering problem for networks. The so called Decentralized Packet Clustering (DPC) problem is to find for packets that are sent around in a network a clustering. This clustering has to be done by the routers using only few computational power and only a small amount of memory. No direct information transfer between the routers is allowed. We investigate the behavior of new a type of decentralized k-means algorithm — called DPClust — for solving the DPC problem. DPClust has some similarities with ant based clustering algorithms. We investigate the behavior of DPClust for different clustering problems and for networks that consist of several subnetworks. The amount of packet exchange between these subnetworks is limited. Networks with different connection topologies for the subnetworks are considered. A dynamic situation where the packet exchange rates between the subnetworks varies over time is also investigated. The proposed DPC problem leads to interesting research problems for network clustering.

La réflexion éthique au service de l'analyse des pratiques professionnelles sur un territoire de santé / Ethical reflection in the service of the analysis of professionnal practices on a territory of health

Le sens de l’exercice soignant se fonde sur le “vivre ensemble” et se nourrit d’un important besoin de réflexion éthique que l’on retrouve tant chez les étudiants qu’auprès des professionnels de santé. Pour autant, l’exercice de la réflexion et le développement de la formation à l’éthique ont été peu présents en formation initiale et dans le parcours de la majorité des professionnels en activité. La posture individuelle réflexive ne suffit pas et doit être complétée par une démarche collective de réflexion éthique associant le patient, sa famille ou ses proches, au dialogue interdisciplinaire. La commission « éthique et professions de santé » (rapport A Cordier 2003) a identifié un manque de lieux et de temps pour les soignants, leur permettant de « formaliser » leur réflexion éthique. Cette thèse se propose d’identifier les dispositifs à construire, au travers de séquences de simulation en santé, afin d’accompagner les acteurs du soin dans cette démarche de questionnement à priori mais aussi à postériori,.Des questionnaires seront utilisés afin d’enrichir et de conforter l’hypothèse centrale.Un autre axe de recherche tentera d’objectiver les variations du niveau de pertinence des principes éthiques en jeu, en fonction des contextes et ceci au travers d’observations menées lors de réunions pluridisciplinaires, entre professionnels du soin..Enfin et en réponse à la question de départ, il apparait qu’un programme de Développement Professionnel Continu (DPC), conçu comme « nouvel espace de la réflexion » semble être une opportunité à saisir, pour aider les acteurs du soin à clarifier les situations et à construire en collégialité, le sens de leur pratique. / The meaning of the nursing exercise is based on the notion of “living together” and feeds on an important need for ethical reflection both from students and healthcare professionals. However, the reflection exercise and the development of training in the field of ethics have been scarce in initial training and in the career path of most of professionals in service. The individual reflexive position is not sufficient and must be completed by a collective approach of ethical reflection in which the patient, his/her family or his/her close relations are associated with interdisciplinary dialogue. The “Ethics and Health Professions” committee (as per the A Cordier report in 2003) pointed out a lack of locations and time for the nursing staff, which could allow them to “formalize” their ethical reflection. This thesis suggests identifying the systems to be created in order, for example of the sequences of simulation in health, to accompany nursing players in this questioning approach a priori but also exposit. Questionnaires will be used to enhance and consolidate the main assumption. Another research focus will attempt to objectify changes in the level of relevance of ethical principles involved, according to contexts and through observations conducted during multidisciplinary meetings between health professionals. This approach will attempt to validate another hypothesis. Finally, to answer the initial question, it appears that a Continuous Professional Development program (DPC), designed as a “new area for reflection” seems to be an opportunity that must be seized, to help care providers to clarify situations et build their practice purpose in a collegial manner.
