Tesis

Regularized spectral log difference technique for ultrasonic attenuation imagingCoila Pacompia, Andres Leonel 13 July 2017 (has links)
The attenuation coefficient slope (ACS) has the potential to be used for tissue characterization and as
a diagnostic ultrasound tool, hence complementing B-mode images. The ACS can be valuable for estimation
of other ultrasound parameters such as the backscatter coefficient. There is a well-known tradeoff
between the precision of the estimated ACS values and the data block size used in spectral-based
techniques such as the spectral log difference (SLD). This trade-off limits the practical usefulness of
spectral-based attenuation imaging techniques.
In this thesis work, the regularized spectral log difference (RSLD) technique is presented in detail
and evaluated with simulations and experiments with physical phantoms, ex vivo and in vivo. The ACS
values obtained when using the RSLD technique were compared to the ones obtained when using the
SLD technique, as well as the ground truth ACS values obtained with insertion loss techniques. The
results showed that the RSLD technique allowed significantly decreasing estimation variance when
using small data block sizes (i.e., standard deviation of percentage error reduced by more than an order
of magnitude in all cases when using 10 x 10 data blocks) without sacrificing estimation accuracy.
Therefore, the RSLD allows for the reconstruction of attenuation coefficient images with an improved
trade-off between spatial resolution and estimation precision. / Tesis

Multi-scale image inpainting with label selection based on local statisticsParedes Zevallos, Daniel Leoncio 09 September 2014 (has links)
We proposed a novel inpainting method where we use a multi-scale approach to speed
up the well-known Markov Random Field (MRF) based inpainting method. MRF based
inpainting methods are slow when compared with other exemplar-based methods, because
its computational complexity is O(jLj2) (L feasible solutions’ labels). Our multi-scale
approach seeks to reduces the number of the L (feasible) labels by an appropiate selection
of the labels using the information of the previous (low resolution) scale. For the initial
label selection we use local statistics; moreover, to compensate the loss of information in
low resolution levels we use features related to the original image gradient.
Our computational results show that our approach is competitive, in terms reconstruction
quality, when compare to the original MRF based inpainting, as well as other exemplarbased
inpaiting algorithms, while being at least one order of magnitude faster than the original
MRF based inpainting and competitive with exemplar-based inpaiting. / Tesis

mercado laboral.

Consulting report – Bigmond S.A.Atarama López, Rossmery Kimberly, Galvez Lopez, Jose Alonso 12 February 2021 (has links)
Bigmond is a Peruvian company dedicated to the headhunting services and human
resources consulting. In the last months, the company has been facing a decrease on its
commercial activities due to the fierce competition and, more recently, due to the COVID-19
pandemic. This situation has aware Bigmond of the necessity of reinvent an offer a service
that target individuals rather than companies, this is why an outplacement service was thought
as a suitable solution. Bigond also looks at the service as a way to keep its reputations as a
anti-discriminatory company and expects that this new service could be offered to low and
middle management job positions. Bigmond wants to achieve its objective by launching the
service in the short-term but need a clear path of how to do it. The present thesis is intented to
give Bigmond a detailed study with the best practices of how to implement the service. The
thesis starts with an analysis of the Porter’s five forces and an overview of the external and
internal factors affecting the company. Then, a literature review is presented in order to give a
clear understanding of what is outplacement and its implications. Next, a benchmark of
international and national companies that are currently offering the service and a survey were
developed as the qualitative and quantitative analysis respectively. As result, a new business
unit with a fully digital service through a platform was defined as the best alternative to
implement. The project was estimated to last 76 working days and to have an initial cost of S/.
181,000.00. Finally, as outcomes, the projections showed that the company can achieve
positive results in the first year after launching the service and to get positive reputational and
brand awareness outcomes.

potenciales exportadoras a tomar decisiones estratégicas.
There are more than two million small to medium companies in Peru, which is why
this are considered an important part of the economy. Less than 1% of these companies have
managed to consolidate exporting internationally, the main issue identified by the “Comisión
de promoción del Perú para la exportación y el turismo – PROMPERÚ” and the Banco
Interamericano de Desarrollo - BID, is the lack of information, which basically means this
companies don’t have access to a centralized and easy to understand information that help
exporting companies and the potential ones gather enough intel to plan strategically long
term. The challenge would be that the small and medium enterprises begin exporting and
become regular exporters for the country with sales that contribute to growth and
development.
For them PROMPERU has developed Late, a digital platform that full fills all the
simulator functions that exporters may need in their five main stages to begin exporting. Late
supports exporters with a valuable service to complete what PROMPERU has for exporting
companies. The following digital marketing plan for the digital platform Late wants that the
small and medium companies export more and improve their efficiencies diversifying markets
and contributing to Peruvian exports growth as its been seen from 2017. The main goal it is
that 50,000 small to medium companies are registered on the Late platform so that 10,000
would be the minimum of successful simulations. The success will depend on the
communication channel efficiencies establishing contact with the main target and motivating
them to increase their exports and investigate about their diverse opportunities around the
world through the platform experience. In order to obtain this goal the plan will need S/
922,500.00 soles that will be strategically distributed in a digital plan to gain awareness,
branding, call to action and loyalty increasing the amount of small to medium regular
exporters that increase the PIB of the country and the life quality of Peruvians.

Modelo prolab: Llamkay, conecta ofertas laborales flexibles con personal idóneoCastellanos Díaz, Alejandro José, Galindo Huamaní, Emilio, Gómez Reyes, Enrique Efraín, Herrera Terrazas, Omar Manfredo 29 May 2023 (has links)
Recruiters within the field of service companies have difficulties connecting and
selecting suitable personnel to cover the needs of temporary and short-term jobs (Job, C.
2020), who have flexible hours and carry out their work responsibly, capable and confident.

without having a criminal and police record (Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, 2011).
Premises with which we identify two types of users within the business model; the companies
that access an application to the registered and validated job offers, and the applicants that
will be hired according to their profile and level of experience.
In the development of the research work, the Design Thinking methodology has been
applied, seeking to empathize, prototype and test the two users, using hypotheses, surveys,
interviews and the implementation of sprints, allowing to identify needs, and to be addressed
with a value proposition through the solution of the minimum viable product (PMV).
Regarding feasibility, it was supported by a marketing and operations plan, reaching a ratio
of customer lifetime value (VTVC) and customer acquisition cost (CAC) of 4.18 supported
by an efficiency level of 85.78%, exceeding expectations. In reference to feasibility, we have
an initial investment of S/173,876.68 obtaining a NPV of S/4,045,040.64 and an IRR of
197% for a five-year horizon, in addition, positive returns are reflected in our cash flow from
the second year.
Finally, within the social relevance, we have aligned ourselves with SDGs 8 and 10
that are framed in decent work and economic growth, and the reduction of inequalities,
respectively, obtaining a VANS of S/70,343,159.41. Based on the indicators obtained, we can
conclude that the proposed solution generates benefits for society, supporting Llamkay as a
responsible and viable business model.

plataforma. / The control of a business, the value of information and concern for the sustainability
of the home, converge in an idea that proposes helping the Peruvian winemaker, as the main
objective in our social context. Wineries are one of the most important sources, via the
traditional channel, for the supply of essential products that, despite a period that continues to
be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, supports the supply of various products according to
the consumer requirements and their new ways of acquiring it.
Currently, the wine segment has been affected by the pandemic, which has forced
them to accelerate the digitization process in view of the new security measures. However, its
low budget and lack of knowledge make this a much more difficult challenge than expected,
which led this research to identify that the main problem for winemakers is the lack of
business management.
The proposed solution is innovative, not only for the management of inventory and
sales, which for this purpose, there are already other tools focused on the same function and
that allow the wineries to keep track, but mainly, by taking advantage of the information to
improve the experience of winemakers, users and suppliers.
Supported in the platform that records inventories, costs, products sold and their
prices, in a simple way, the winemaker will be able to have clarity of their income, expenses
and potential business efficiencies. For suppliers, with this information, a clear panorama of
the market will be available, referencing prices and inventories in the territories available for
consultation. Finally, the user will be able to compare prices and inventory availability
between the nearby warehouses that they consult by geolocation to make their purchases,
having as a consequence the possibility of increasing the purchase ticket.
The project will be planned for 5 years with an initial investment of S /. 349,190, an
IRR of 47%, a NPV of S / 673,464, generating an ROI of 321%. Finally, the payback time for the investment will be 31 months to start generating profits.
That is why, through the management for the control of the business, the information
and the sustainability of the home, through a social impact of increasing 6% access to
information and communication technology in the determined flow and generating
employment, which will be an average increase of 56% during the 5 years, which is
equivalent to the generation of 250 jobs in the indicated period, reducing the current
unemployment rate that has been increasing since the pandemic and political uncertainty,
thus benefiting on all fronts to each agent involved in the use of the information on the
platform.

impacto. / The problem addressed in this work is related to the mental health of older adults and
the lack of information in our society about how to keep an active mind and the consequences
of not doing so, as well as the scarce solutions that can currently be offered to them. This
problem was determined through the analysis of the target user, through the design thinking
methodology, which allowed us to propose solutions to this need with the creation of the
digital application "Abueléate".
The proposal put forward to solve this problem was to promote the well-being and
mental health of older adults through virtual games, which will allow them to improve their
quality of life, share new experiences in the process and strengthen their family ties. As part
of the evaluation of the proposal, it was verified that the business model is viable and
profitable through the financial viability evaluation, which determined an NPV of $864,828
and a rate of return with IRR 158.23%. The results are supported by the high scalability of
the business due to the projected global increase of 100% of the elderly population by the
year 2050. Furthermore, given that in Peru, one of the main deficiencies in the health system
is the lack of attention and follow-up in the treatment of the deterioration of the mental health
of the elderly, the proposal has a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDG) N°3, in addition to the other SDGs N°8 and N°9.
The average VTVC to CAC ratio in the scenarios is 3.91. This figure is a positive and
significant indicator, as it implies that the marketing plan designed will generate more income
than losses over the 5 years of operation.
Finally, this business model expects to achieve a Social NPV of S/. 5,407,871 in five
years. Therefore, the implementation of this business is recommended as it has a triple
impact.
