Prestandamätning av två ramverk på en nyhetsida genom responstid / Performance measurement of two framworks on a newspage through response time

Arbetet undersöker ifall responstiden är lägre eller högre med en nyhetssida uppbyggd med ett ramverk utan infrastrukturen CMS jämfört med ett ramverk med infrastrukturen CMS. Enligt hypotesen kommer ramverket utan infrastrukturen CMSprestera bättre vid stora dataset gentemot ramverket utan infrastrukturen CMS. Nyhetssidorna installeras på en lokal miljö där ett experiment genomför sökningar för att mäta responstiden. Resultatet av experimentet tyder på att ramverket med infrastrukturen CMS presterar bättre än ramverket utan infrastrukturen CMS vid större projekt, däremot är skillnaden försumbar. Det är dock en signifikant skillnad mellan de båda ramverken när dataseten i projekten är små. Vid de fallen presterar ramverket utan infrastrukturen CMS lägre responstid än vad ramverket med infrastrukturen CMS gör. Vid framtida arbeten hade det varit intressant att mäta hur många rader kod, hur lång tid samt hur många klick det tar att publicera en artikel på dessa ramverk

Developing UCAF, an administrative functionality for the U-Call IVR reporting system

Mobile phones and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications are being progressively used in developing countries to collect voice-based reports about bad governance or poor public service delivery, reported by citizens. Such systems (e.g. Avaaj Otalo, Foroba Blon, etc.) can give an opportunity to rural users in developing countries to easily influence and participate in public affairs. Despite the ongoing efforts on using such solutions, the lack of an efficient system of administration can cause delays in broadcasting the collected reports as quickly as possible, to reach the relevant authorities. This thesis presents the results of a real-world deployment of an administrative functionality for an IVR system called U-Call, used in the Northern districts of Uganda. U-Call Administrative Functionality (UCAF) interacts with the U-Call administrators through mobile phones and gives the moderator access to the registered users. It allows administrators to easily publish and tag audio reports over the Web using their mobile phones. It also uses a semantic tagging module to increase findability and information categorization on the U-Call’s website. After an initial validation and successful evaluation of UCAF in the field, during a trip to Uganda, additional features were incorporated, such as multiple authentication process and dynamic tagging. We find out, that today's technologies and methods are in the state of public inducting. In the question of semantic support in CMS Drupal we developed a tool for extending its support of semantic formats. This tool allows CMS Drupal to export its information in a Topic Maps format. For this it uses the XTM file.

My Diploma thesis deals with the content management system Drupal, further explores the open source content management systems and puts the attention on Drupal 7. Analyzed the possibility of migration of Drupal version 6 to version 7. When you migrate, you must be aware of already existing structure, Web presentations already created user accounts, Web sites, databases. In the practical part of the Thesis is carried out on the migration of the Web slide show version of Drupal 7. After the migration, checked the correctness and functionality of all modules and Web content. Deployed a new content management system Joomla 2.5. The final presentation is supplemented by the necessary modules to optimize SEO. Configured with all necessary parameters for SEO. Influence of optimization tested and evaluated in detail the results obtained. Analysis and testing focused on Google and Seznam. The results of the analysis carried out optimization of Web presentation. All of the implemented modules updated and tested for functionality. In the website is implemented a language switch, and revised the contents of the pages. Carried out a complete testing of a Web presentation.

Inom webbutveckling så är en stor del av webben utvecklad och administrerad med hjälp utav Content Management System (CMS) närmare bestämt hela 43,6% av alla webbsidor hanteras av någon typ av Content Management System. När utveckling av en webbsida är aktuellt, så finns det flera val som behöver göras, ska det genomföras egenutveckling, skall ett ramverk användas eller ska ett CMS användas. I aktuell uppsats står det sist nämnda i fokus och mer specifikt situationer där CMS används och där utvecklare vill lägga till egen funktionalitet till den redan existerande funktionaliteten. Studiens syfte är att jämföra hur det går till att skapa plugin för att utöka funktionalitet i tre olika CMS. Studiens avgränsning är open-source och PHP-baserade CMS och systemen som valts ut är WordPress, Joomla och Drupal. I studien används undersökningsmetoden design science övergripande för att skapa användbara artefakter i form av plugin (tillägg). Datainsamlingsmetoder som används är dagbok, skapad källkod, cyklomatisk komplexitet och dokumentanalys i kombination med IEEE standarder. Med hjälp av en samling kriterier är målet med studien att komma fram till vilket CMS som är att rekommendera vid skapande av plugin. Resultatet av studien visar data om varje kriterium som används för WordPress, Joomla och Drupal. Det CMS som samlade på sig mest poäng var WordPress. WordPress samlade på sig 15 poäng. Medan Joomla samlade på sig 8 poäng och Drupal samlade på sig 11 poäng.Slutsatsen av studien är att WordPress är det CMS som är att föredra vid skapande av eget plugin. Eftersom WordPress samlade på sig mest poäng på fyra av sex kriterier.

Drupal and ReactJS : An Evaluation of Decoupled Drupal and ReactJS

With almost 70% of the population being active internet users and with signs that this number only will increase in the coming years, the value for companies, organisations, and hobbyists to be able to share what is important to them will also increase. One of the most common ways to gain attraction on the internet is with the help of a website. There are multiple ways to create a website, with one popular approach is with the help of content managing systems (CMS). Different CMSs offer a range of functionality and range in complexity. A staple name in the CMS community is Drupal. Drupal can provide the entirety of an application but can also be used in a decoupled mode where it serves as the backend for a frontend developed with other technologies, e.g. a JavaScript library like ReactJS. This thesis aimed to evaluate how the JavaScript library ReactJS interacted with Drupal when used in its decoupled mode. Different methods, such as JSON:API and GraphQL, to export data from the Drupal site were also compared. The thesis also aimed to guide less experienced developers through their journey of decoupled CMSs. Through extensive research about Drupal and ReactJS, as well as the core functionalities, the thesis provides the necessary groundwork for implementing a decoupled application. The concepts are then further expanded with realistic examples to provide a deeper understanding of the subject. By implementing a realist web application containing common functionalities found in modern web applications, it could be concluded that Drupal and ReactJS complemented each other excellently by providing each other with features the other one did not have. Difficulties encountered were related to the unique technologies rather than their collaboration. The comparison between JSON:API and GraphQL elucidated clear benefits and drawbacks for each, providing a guide for developers to choose based on their specific needs. Future research could broaden the scope to other CMSs and JavaScript libraries to enhance the understanding of decoupled architecture. Exploring the implementation of custom APIs is also suggested for further studies.

隨著資訊科技日益普及,近年來資安事件仍層出不窮。行政院國家資通安全會報於94年5月,訂定「政府機關(構)資訊安全責任等級分級作業實施計畫」,針對各種資訊安全的潛在威脅,提出以建立管理機制並配合技術支援服務的方式,期能有效防護資訊資產,提昇資訊安全。其中管理面的具體措施為建構「資訊安全管理系統」(ISMS, Information Security Management System),並規範列屬資安責任等級為A或B級之機關,應在規定之期限內通過由第三方(third party)公正機構驗證符合資訊安全國際標準。根據行政院科技顧問組針對A、B級機關在2008年進行資安責任等級應辦事項調查顯示,B級機關在資安認證達成率只有43%,可見通過資安認證有其困難性。 本研究依據已通過資安認證的機關的經驗分享文獻,分析歸納導入ISMS所可能遭遇的主要問題,從而主張可以採用內容管理系統(CMS, Content Management System)的平台來協助組織導入ISMS。Drupal是一套結構簡單且具高擴展性模組化的開放源碼內容管理系統,不僅容易在其平台上建立客製化的應用系統,且有大量的社群可提供技術支援,故本研採用Drupal建置輔助系統,方便組織在導入符合國際標準的ISMS(如ISO 27001)時,可以集中管理各類相關資訊,評定資產價值,計算風險值,並提供組織申請ISO驗證時作為部份佐證資料的集中管理。 / As information technology is widely used in our daily work and life, incidents of information security also occurs from time to time. In May of 2005, the National Information & Communication Security Taskforce of R.O.C. instituted “The operational plan for classifying the information security duty grade of the government agencies”. The plan demands government agencies to establish technological support services along with management mechanisms for all potential security threats to provide effective information security management. In addition, all agencies whose security grade belongs to the A or B levels must pass the third party certification for ISO Information Security Standard within a specific deadline. However, as shown in the investigation report released by the government technology advisors in 2008, the achievement rate for information security certification on grade B government agencies is only 43%. Therefore, it is perceived that there are some difficulties in passing the information security certification This thesis analyzes and summarizes the main difficulties that organizations may encounter when establishing an ISMS by following the international IS standard ISO 27001. The analysis results show that document management is a key issue. Therefore, we claim that a content management platform is a good foundation to build an assistant for an organization to establish its ISMS. To demonstrate our proposal, we choose the open source content management platform, Drupal, to set up such an assistant. By fully utilizing the simpler yet extensible structures provided Drupal, we build up an assistant system that facilitates an organization to manage all related documents centrally, to assess asset values and calculate risk values by following the ISO 27001 information security international standard. These facilities will give the organization a very strong evidence of employing a centralized information security management system when applying for ISO certification

Mελετάται το ζήτημα της διαχείρισης και προστασίας των Πνευματικών Δικαιωμάτων στον ψηφιακό κόσμο. Συγκεκριμένα, προτείνονται τα Συστήματα Ψηφιακής Διαχείρισης Δικαιωμάτων (DRM), ως μέσα προστασίας της νομοθετικής κατοχύρωσης των πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων (copyright) και υποστήριξης της διανομής του ψηφιακού περιεχομένου μέσω των δικτύων και του διαδικτύου, για την αποφυγή περιπτώσεων παραβίασης του νόμου της Πνευματικής Ιδιοκτησίας. Yλοποιήθηκε ένα πληροφοριακό σύστημα που ικανοποιεί τις λειτουργικές και τις τεχνικές προδιαγραφές των οντοτήτων που εμπλέκονται στο ζήτημα της διαχείρισης και της προστασίας των πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων. Η υλοποίηση του συστήματος έγινε με χρήση ανοικτών τεχνολογιών και ενός συστήματος διαχείρισης περιεχομένου (Drupal), ακολουθώντας διεθνή πρότυπα και πληρώντας κριτήρια ποιότητας και ευχρηστίας. / The issue of Management and Protection of Intellectual Rights is analysed in this project. A system which satisfy the functional and technological requirements of the ontologies that include in the management and protection of the intellectual rights is implemented. This thesis deals with implementation of software support of alarm system design for security levels 1 and 2 based on web technologies. It was created intuitive and interactive graphical interface that allows to create high-quality alarm system design even for laymen. First of all the paper deals with standards and jurisdictions in the Czech Republic, according to which the alarm system design must be followed. In theoretical part there are described in detail characteristics of alarm systems and its components, proper functioning principles, installation principle, advantages and disadvantages of use, individual steps of alarm system design and proposed methodology of alarm system design for security level 1 and 2. In practical part there are described the technologies used for the implementation of this paper, structure of created webpage and detailed steps of alarm system design, as seen by user during creating. The result of this paper is a webpage, which is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides information about the alarm system architecture, alarm system design and established methodology for the alarm system design for security level 1 and 2. In the practical part the user, on the basis of gained information and interactive help, can create high-quality alarm system design that meets all the conditions for reliable function in real traffic.
