Among the methodological aspects, was adopted the review literature with the realization of an exploratory and descriptive research through one qualitative and quantitative approach. The deployment of this research was divided into two stages: (1) automatic accessibility evaluation on websites that are part of the search and (2) accessibility test with five blind users divided into three tasks, namely: recognition navigation, search a product on the website and realize the purchasing procedures. For aspects related to the understanding of visual impairment, the concept of blindness was defined and explained specific aspects related to its classification and causes, as well as presenting the main legislation in force in the country and the use of technologies such as social inclusion. The accessibility as support for blind users on the web is approached with the purpose of deepening the theme, as well as major initiatives undertaken by international and national institutions. It also presents aspects related to e-commerce in Brazil, in which it discusses its concepts and characterization, describes the overview of the electronic market in Brazil and lists the main websites, considering the number of access. The automatic accessibility test reports showed that the websites analyzed did not pass by the test battery with a minimum level recommended by WCAG 2.0. In addition, the results with the user test showed that the websites have accessibility barriers that hindered navigation blind users in the analyzed pages, making it impossible, at least one user, to complete the purchase procedures. Therefore, are needed changes in the structure of pages tested with the objective of correcting the barriers reported in this study. Thus, companies involved in the study should understand the differences between the navigation of the blind users and sighted users, in order to provide inclusive and accessible digital information environments. / Apresenta uma abordagem acerca da acessibilidade em websites de comércio eletrônico, cujo objetivo é delinear sua estrutura através da interação com usuários cegos nos websites mais acessados no Brasil, das empresas Americanas, Netshoes e Walmart. Dentre os aspectos metodológicos, foi adotado o levantamento bibliográfico com a realização de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva através de uma abordagem quali-quantitativa. A aplicação da pesquisa foi dividida em duas etapas: (1) avaliação automática de acessibilidade nos websites que fazem parte da pesquisa e (2) teste de acessibilidade com cinco usuários cegos dividido em três tarefas, a saber: navegação de reconhecimento, pesquisa de um produto no website e realização dos procedimentos de compra. Em relação aos aspectos relacionados à compreensão da deficiência visual, foi definido o conceito da cegueira e explanados aspectos peculiares referentes a sua classificação e causas, além de apresentar as principais legislações vigentes no país e o uso de tecnologias como processo de inclusão social. A acessibilidade como suporte aos usuários cegos na web é abordada com a finalidade de aprofundamento da temática, bem como principais iniciativas desenvolvidas por instituições internacionais e nacionais. Apresenta, ainda, aspectos relacionados ao comércio eletrônico no Brasil, em que se discorre sobre seus conceitos e caracterização, descreve o panorama do mercado eletrônico no Brasil e elenca os principais websites, considerando o número de acessos. Os relatórios do teste automático de acessibilidade apontaram que os websites analisados não passaram na bateria de testes com o nível mínimo recomendado pelo WCAG 2.0. Além disso, os resultados com o teste de usuários demonstraram que os websites apresentam barreiras de acessibilidade que dificultaram a navegação de usuários cegos nas páginas analisadas, impossibilitando, pelo menos um usuário, de concluir os procedimentos de compra. Conclui-se, portanto, que são necessárias alterações na estrutura das páginas testadas com o objetivo de corrigir as barreiras relatadas no presente estudo. Deste modo, as empresas envolvidas no estudo devem compreender as diferenças entre a navegação dos usuários cegos e os videntes, com a finalidade de proporcionar ambientes informacionais digitais inclusivos e acessíveis.

This analysis is taken from the recommendations and guidelines of accessibility, associated to the principles of Information Architecture for the Web, both standards turn possible to identify barriers to access to information faced by these linguistic minorities. The problem corresponds to know whether the government portal of the State of Paraíba is in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations for web accessibility thus allowing accessibility for deaf users. To meet the overall objective, which is to analyze the Government portal of the State of Paraíba in the perspective of accessibility for deaf users, it was necessary to use the government Accessibility Model (e- MAG) created precisely in order to provide accessibility of Government portals of domain gov.br. The analysis results were confronted by the opinions of deaf users, so that it was possible to identify the main barriers of accessibility, that make such environments inaccessible, as well as it proposes suggestions to better meet the information needs of these users. The results indicated that the analyzed site constitutes as a unique place to give access to various knowledge entities and may be characterized as a system of cooperative information. It was also identified that it was structured according to the principles of AI for web, which contributes positively to access information quickly at least for the general users. However, with regard to access for deaf users, who have limited access to certain information, it was found that the main elements of accessibility appointed by the deaf users, are majority non existent, resulting in serious accessibility problems. Through the context of the inaccessibility of this Portal, which does not consist in a particular case, it is suggested that changes should be done in a way that allows the users access to information, especially through the strong presence of Libras. From the point of view of the objectives, the research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The encouragement the issue of accessibility in government portals consists of an Information Science concern, supported on the issue of the right to information, as a leading factor to the social responsibility practice inherent to this Science. Beyond the visible legal interest, as explained in the Brazilian legislation dealing with this issue, in which both understand the contribution of promoting accessibility, seizure, retention and reading speed with autonomy and independence of these linguistic minorities on web environments. / A presente pesquisa vislumbra analisar o Portal Governamental do Estado da Paraíba, considerando a acessibilidade para usuários surdos. A referida análise é feita a partir das recomendações e diretrizes de acessibilidade, aliados aos princípios da Arquitetura da Informação para a Web, ambas diretrizes, possibilitam identificar as barreiras de acesso à informação enfrentadas por estas minorias linguísticas. A problemática estabelecida corresponde a saber se o portal governamental do Estado da Paraíba está em conformidade com as diretrizes e recomendações de acessibilidade para a Web possibilitando dessa forma a acessibilidade para usuários surdos. Para atender ao objetivo geral que consiste em analisar o portal governamental do Estado da Paraíba na perspectiva da acessibilidade para usuários surdos, se fez necessário fazer uso do Modelo de Acessibilidade do Governo (e-MAG) criado justamente com o intuito de proporcionar a acessibilidade dos Portais governamentais de domínio.gov.br. Os resultados das análises foram confrontados pelas opiniões dos usuários surdos, de modo, que foi possível identificar as principais barreiras de acessibilidade, o que tornam tais ambientes inacessíveis, bem como propor sugestões para melhor atender as necessidades informacionais dos referidos usuários. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que o Portal analisado se constitui como ponto único que dar acesso à várias entidades de conhecimento e pode ser caracterizado como um sistema de informação cooperativo. Identificou-se também que o mesmo foi estruturado de acordo com os princípios da Arquitetura da Informação para Web, o que contribui positivamente para o acesso à informação de forma rápida pelo menos para os usuários em geral. No entanto, no que se refere ao acesso por parte dos usuários surdos, que possuem limitações no acesso a determinadas informações, constatou-se que os principais elementos de acessibilidade apontados pelos próprios usuários surdos, são em sua maioria inexistentes, acarretando em sérios problemas de acessibilidade. Mediante o quadro da inacessibilidade do referido Portal, o que não consiste em um caso particular, sugere-se que haja modificações que privilegie a forma como tais usuários acessam as informações, especialmente através da presença marcante da Libras. Do ponto de vista dos objetivos a pesquisa se caracteriza como exploratória e descritiva, e no que tange a abordagem como quali-quantitativa. Incitar a acessibilidade nos portais governamentais consiste em uma preocupação da Ciência da Informação, respaldado na questão do direito ao acesso à informação, constituindo-se como fator preponderante para a prática da responsabilidade social inerente a esta Ciência. Além do visível interesse jurídico, explicitado na legislação Brasileira que trata desta temática, no qual ambos compreendem a contribuição da promoção da acessibilidade, na apreensão, retenção, rapidez de leitura com autonomia e independência por parte dessas minorias linguísticas frente aos ambientes Web.

This study is linked to the research line Development of Educational Technologies in Network, of the Professional Master's Degree in Educational Technologies in Network of the Federal University of Santa Maria, started from the problem: How to support the teachers, servers and technical-administrative in education of the Federal University of Pampa (Unipampa) in the process of creating accessible digital documents? In view of this questioning, the objectives listed were: 1) to propose solutions to make documents more accessible, providing democratization of information and knowledge; 2) promote accessibility at Unipampa through accessible digital documents; 3) adapt the accessibility recommendations WCAG 2.0 and eMAG 3.1 to the evolution of the manual. In this way, this research developed a manual with orientations for the creation of accessible digital documents in the text editors Microsoft Word 2010 and LibreOffice Writer. Moreover, to execute this study, the theoretical reference has brought information related to the democratization of information and knowledge, accessibility, assistive technology, universal design, as well as guidelines and recommendations for accessibility. The methodological approach for this project involved applied research, with a qualitative and descriptive approach and in the investigative context the case study was used. For the data collection, an online questionnaire was used to identify the degree of knowledge of the servers for the creation of digital documents and the importance of having a manual of guidelines for the accessibility of digital documents. After analyzing these data, a market research was made to identify the existence of manuals that guide the accessibility of digital documents. In addition, an exploratory research it was made with the intention of identifying features and functionalities that allow accessibility in documents in text editors (Microsoft Word 2010 and LibreOffice Writer); the guidelines WGAC 2.0 and eMAG 3.1 were also explored for the definition of adaptations to digital contents. Following this research, the final product of this dissertation was developed, the Guidelines Manual for creation digital documents accessible in the text editors Microsoft Word 2010 and LibreOffice Writer. After the manual was developed, the evaluation stage was followed, in which the servers and a blind consultant tested the manual and answered a questionnaire indicating possible improvements. Then the adjustments were made according to the suggestions given, and a document was created based on the guidelines of the manual which was sent to the servers, students and consultants for them to do the validation, answering whether the document was accessible or not. The results pointed out that the manual is a way to contribute with the servers of the Unipampa in the process of creation accessible digital documents. However, the contributions of the product developed in this study depend on the will and the conscience of the people to continue create and make available more accessible documents, making them a means of democratizing information and knowledge. / Este estudo, vinculado à linha de pesquisa Desenvolvimento de Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede, do Mestrado Profissional em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede (MPTER), da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) partiu do seguinte problema: como apoiar os servidores, docentes e técnico-administrativos em educação, da Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa) no processo de criação de documentos digitais acessíveis? Tendo em vista esse questionamento, foram elencados os seguintes objetivos: 1) propor soluções para tornar documentos mais acessíveis, proporcionando a democratização da informação e do conhecimento; 2) promover acessibilidade na Unipampa por meio de documentos digitais acessíveis; 3) adaptar as recomendações de acessibilidade WCAG 2.0 e eMAG 3.1 para o desenvolvimento do manual. Sendo assim, nesta pesquisa foi desenvolvido um manual com orientações para a criação de documentos digitais acessíveis nos editores de texto Microsoft Word 2010 e LibreOffice Writer. E, para a realização deste estudo, o referencial teórico trouxe informações relacionadas à democratização da informação e do conhecimento, acessibilidade, tecnologia assistiva, desenho universal, bem como diretrizes e recomendações de acessibilidade. A abordagem metodológica para este projeto envolveu pesquisa aplicada, com abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e do tipo estudo de caso do contexto da investigação. Para o levantamento de dados, utilizou-se um questionário on-line para identificar o grau de conhecimento dos servidores quanto à criação de documentos digitais acessíveis e à importância de ter um manual de orientações para acessibilidade de documentos digitais. Após a análise desses dados, realizou-se uma pesquisa de mercado para identificar a existência de manuais que orientam para a acessibilidade de documentos digitais. Além disso, foi realizada pesquisa exploratória, com a intenção de identificar recursos e funcionalidades que possibilitam a acessibilidade em documentos nos softwares editores de texto (Microsoft Word 2010 e LibreOffice Writer); também foram exploradas as diretrizes WGAC 2.0 e eMAG 3.1 para a definição das adaptações a conteúdos digitais. Na sequência desta pesquisa, desenvolveu-se o produto final desta dissertação, o manual de orientações para criação de documentos digitais acessíveis nos editores de texto Microsoft Word 2010 e LibreOffice Writer. Após o desenvolvimento do manual, passou-se para a etapa de avaliação, na qual os servidores e um consultor cego testaram o manual e responderam a um questionário, indicando possíveis melhorias. Então, realizaram-se os ajustes conforme as sugestões dadas, e - para finalizar - criou-se um documento baseado nas orientações do manual o qual foi enviado aos servidores, alunos e consultores para que eles fizessem a validação, respondendo se o documento estava acessível ou não. Os resultados apontaram que o manual é uma forma de contribuir com os servidores da Unipampa no processo de criação de documentos digitais acessíveis, atingindo-se assim os objetivos da pesquisa. Porém, as contribuições do produto desenvolvido neste estudo depende muito da vontade e da consciência das pessoas em continuar a criar e a disponibilizar documentos mais acessíveis, tornando-os meio de democratização da informação e do conhecimento.

In this context, is considered that challenges faced by municipalities reach even more complexity when they are inserted in metropolitan regions. This problematic grow worse through factors such as the excessive use of automobiles, as well as the lack of integrated planning and management that prioritize displacements by public transport and that establish balanced guidelines of land use and occupation. Therefore, is research uses indicator to analyze the dynamics of accessibility between municipalities of metropolitan regions. Based on the conceptual and theoretical deepening about the metropolitan context, accessibility and its principles, this work focused on the public transport systems. / Esta pesquisa se insere no contexto da importância da acessibilidade para o desenvolvimento das regiões metropolitanas. Considera-se que os desafios enfrentados pelos municípios atingem ainda maior complexidade quando estes estão inseridos em regiões metropolitanas. Contribuem para o agravamento desta problemática fatores como o uso excessivo de automóveis, bem como a falta de planejamentos e gestões integradas que priorizem deslocamentos por transporte público e que estabeleçam diretrizes equilibradas de uso e ocupação do solo. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa se utiliza de indicadores para analisar a dinâmica da acessibilidade entre municípios de RMs. Baseado no aprofundamento teórico conceitual sobre o contexto metropolitano, a acessibilidade e seus princípios, este trabalho teve como foco os sistemas de transporte público coletivo.

The main objective of this diploma thesis is to provide an analysis of the accessibility standards adoption level of Prague city districts websites. The required level is defined in the Ministry of Internal Affairs notice (Accessibility Notice) which reflects the amendment of the law 365/2000 and contains accessibility guidelines which are the result of the project "Přístupnost webových stránek orgánů státní správy" (Accessibility of Public Administration Web Pages). The thesis also reflects similar analysis from the paper "Přístupnost a weby městských částí Prahy" (Accessibility and Web Pages of Prague City Districts) written in 2007. To achieve this goal the thesis firstly describes accessibility keystones (definition of accessibility, disabled users, legislation etc.). Next part of the thesis provides an analysis of above mentioned project and its outcomes, which contain the comparison of Czech accessibility guidelines, WCAG 1.0 and working draft of WCAG 2.0, analysis of disabled users needs, draft of new accessibility guidelines and costs of its application among public administration websites. Third part of the thesis depicts a comparison of the Accessibility Notice guidelines and "Best practice -- Pravidla pro tvorbu přístupného webu" (previous version of Czech accessibility guidelines). Final part presents particular and summary results of the accessibility test of particular Prague city districts websites against selected guidelines of the Accessibility Notice. Test results are also compared with outcomes of above mentioned paper from year 2007.

A constante evolução da Web tem se mostrado como um fenômeno mundial que rapidamente precisa responder aos diversos segmentos da sociedade atual, com websites e aplicativos de compras, governo, bancos, entretenimento e outros. Nesse contexto, é necessário que o conteúdo Web possibilite acesso aos mais diferentes perfis de usuários, independentemente de suas deficiências ou necessidades especiais. Um outro fenômeno mundial é o envelhecimento da população. Os usuários senescentes (pessoas que estão em processo de envelhecimento, o qual acarreta declínio físico e mental gradual, ocorrendo geralmente nos indivíduos a partir de 60 anos de idade), apresentam algumas de suas capacidades reduzidas e, encontram, naturalmente, barreiras ao interagir com os serviços e conteúdos disponibilizados na Web. Essa população tem apresentado um índice de crescimento demográfico grande neste século em relação ao que se via nas gerações passadas. Apesar das exigências de legislação específica, recomendações e diretrizes que auxiliam o desenvolvimento de conteúdo acessível e usável, ainda há muitos problemas de acessibilidade e usabilidade que precisam ser resolvidos, diante do rápido avanço tecnológico observado nos recursos da Web atual. Em especial, observa-se pouca atenção às dificuldades que usuários senescentes possuem, pois a maioria de websites são projetados considerando como público-alvo, pessoas mais jovens e especializadas, muitas vezes, treinadas para interagir nos websites. Portanto, é relevante um apoio para avaliação das páginas Web, visando atender as necessidades dos usuários senescentes. A proposta deste projeto foi desenvolver um apoio para a avaliação de acessibilidade e usabilidade na Web, considerando-se o perfil dos senescentes, com vistas a proporcionar um feedback objetivo, aos desenvolvedores e especialistas. Esse apoio foi elaborado por meio de um Checklist que foi desenvolvido, com base em procedimentos científicos, e análises realizadas, sobre sua aplicação. / The constant evolution of the Web has proven to be a worldwide phenomenon that quickly needs to address the various segments of current society (websites and web applications, government, banks, entertainment and others). In this context, it is necessary that the Web content provides the possibility of access to the different user profiles, regardless of their disabilities or special needs. Another worldwide phenomenon is the aging population. The senescent users (people who are in the aging process, which leads to gradual physical and mental decline, usually occurring in individuals from the age of 60) have some of their capacities limited and they face barriers to interact with services and content available on the Web. This population has shown a high growth rate in this century in comparison to what was observed in past generations. Despite of the demands for specific legislation, recommendations and guidelines that assist the development of content accessible and usable, there are still many problems of accessibility and usability that need to be solved, given the rapid technological advances seen in the current Web resources. In particular, there is little attention to the difficulties that senescent users have, given that most websites are designed considering target audience that usually is composed of young people and specialists, often trained to interact on websites. Therefore, it is important to support evaluation of Web pages, to meet the requirements of senescent users. The purpose of this project is to develop a support for the evaluation of web accessibility and usability, focusing on the older people, in order to provide clear feedback to developers and experts. This support was prepared by a Checklist that was developed based on scientific procedures, and analyzes on its application.

Bakgrund: Webbtillgänglighet är mer aktuellt än någonsin med införandet av nya lagkrav och då webben har en så viktig roll i samhället. Bristande tillgänglighet på webbplatser kan orsaka problem för individer med olika funktionsvariationer att interagera med webben och vara delaktiga på lika villkor.  Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur tillgänglighetstester av webbsidor kan genomföras för att säkerställa att de lagkrav som finns följs, samt att undersöka vilka delar av testprocessen som kan automatiseras. Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ studie där datainsamlingen har skett i form av intervjuer. För att utröna vilka delar av testprocessen som kan automatiseras utvecklades en webbsida med ett antal tillgänglighetsbrister, som evaluerades med olika valideringsverktyg. Resultat och slutsatser: Av de automatiska valideringsverktyg som utvärderades presterade Axe DevTools i kombination med Axe Linter bäst och upptäckte flera tillgänglighetsbrister. Att automatisera tillgänglighetstestning underlättar testarbetet och medför att många tillgänglighetsbrister upptäcks som kan vara svåra att upptäcka manuellt, vilket är ett argument att för att implementera det i testprocessen. / Background: Web accessibility is more relevant than ever with the introduction of new legal requirements and when the web has such an important role in society. Lack of accessibility on websites can cause problems for individuals with different functional variations to interact with the web and participate on equal terms. Purpose: The purpose with the essay is to investigate how accessibility tests of websites can be carried out to ensure that the legal requirements are complied with, and to investigate which parts of the testing process can be automated. Method: The authors have used a qualitative study where data collection has taken place in the form of interviews. To find out which parts of the test process can be automated, a website was developed with a number of accessibility shortcomings that various validation tools evaluated. Results and conclusions: Of the automatic validation tools that were evaluated, Axe DevTools in combination with Axe Linter performed best and discovered several accessibility shortcomings. Automating accessibility testing facilitates the test work and means that many accessibility shortcomings are discovered that can be difficult to detect manually, which is an argument for implementing it in the testing process.

Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit den grammatischen und semantischen Kontexten enumerativer 'there-existentials' im Englischen. Mithilfe von Korpusbelegen werden die Auftretenskontexte näher bestimmt. Im Anschluss werden die Ergebnisse anhand Mira Ariels 'Accessibility Theory' gegengeprüft und interpretiert. / This paper seeks to analyze the grammtical and semantic contexts of enumerative 'there-existentials' in English. By using corpus data, the contextual environment of there-extistantials' will be defined more closely. Afterwards, the results will be checked and interpreted againts Mira Ariel's 'Accessibility Theory'.

In this paper, I begin the first steps towards developing more ethical methods for designing for users with ADHD by investigating what needs stakeholders have when interacting with technology. Current interaction design projects concerned with ADHD are largely focused on children—ignoring adults with ADHD. Their aims and methods are problematic, potentially harmful, and erase experiences of those with ADHD by excluding them from the design process. These projects treat the ADHD community as a list of symptoms to be fixed by training behaviors—a practice that has been demonstrated to cause harm. Influenced by the Crip Technoscience, Neurodiversity, and Self-Advocacy movements and utilizing participatory/co-design methods I investigate the needs of users with ADHD by engaging with them throughout the process, ultimately leading to the development of preliminary guidelines for designing for ADHD accessibility which are presented in this paper alongside design examples and discussion of possible future work.
