The Marketing Strategies of E-mail on Educational Training Services.

Chou, Wen-Fu 14 April 2002 (has links)
E-mail is changing direct marketing. A rapidly maturing set of permission e-mail marketing technologies is profoundly impacting the way companies market to their customers. Lifelong learning will be essential for everyone as we move into the 21st century and it has to be made accessible to all. Education and training systems also must play an important role. As the world moves increasingly to knowledge-based economies and societies, the emphasis given to this goal is not only right, but also it must be reinforced. In this study, we¡¦ll discuss the current situation of educational training services applying permission e-mail marketing in Taiwan. Therefore, the paper provides a good direction for researchers in e-mail marketing. Furthermore, educational training services can apply e-mail marketing strategies easily and gain benefits from them.

What is The Meaning of Corporate University? A Case Study of Domestic Enterprise

Lin , Ju-Chih 03 February 2012 (has links)
To meet global market competition and knowledge economy era, enterprise has put accent on developing its own human resource. Many corporations expect to become a learning organization to deal with the situation and, therefore, they have paid much attention to the function of internal education and training for employees. To build an effective employee-training system has become a critical process in enterprise management. However, common routine training activities cannot reach the goal of internal training. To meet the problem, ¡§Corporation University (CU)¡¨ was born. Some international companies have built up their corporation universities which have brought advantages and benefits to organization. The phenomenon has made the concept of CU spread out worldwide. Some native companies followed them to build their CUs. However, it is not sure whether the practical working conditions of native CU can meet the standard of CU. This study takes case study as research methodology and research targets contains two international and four native CUs. In this study, the fundamental background, organizational framework (operation system), operational situation (including components of instructors and learners¡Bcourse planning and content¡Bways to proceed learning course¡Bfund resource and expenditure¡Bevaluation and verification for learning) and working efficiency for each CU were discussed to acquire the whole practice of each CU. Additionally, the related literature was reviewed and CUs were summarized as four types of function levels by past researchers: training and development¡Borganization learning¡Bknowledge management¡Bstrategic management. Moreover, based on the classifications, the research targets are classified and analyzed to explore the reasons why they were built and examine their working efficiency. By examining the research targets with their fundamental backgrounds and operational situations, it is shown that the function levels of native CUs cannot be labeled as ¡§strategic management¡¨ mostly. After surveying the practical operations of four native CUs, several problems are discovered as follows: native corporations build their CUs because of popularization not need; a feasibility study is not conducted before setting up their CUs and the function level of CU is not clear; CU only play a role of extension of internal education and training system for employees; there are some problems for native CUs to work with academy institutions; there is room of improvement in instructors and courses of native CUs; learning resources of CU cannot be acquired by each employees; learning evaluation and verification are not implemented seriously by CU¡¦s executives. Therefore, base on the discovered problems and explored issues, this study provides some specific suggestions for companies who have operated CUs practically and a referable direction for following researchers.

(Psychology)) -- University of the North, 2002. / The aim of the study was to assess as to whether psycho education can lead to compliance, and to strengthen the families to be long-term caregivers in Mankweng hospital (psychiatric clinic) of the Limpopo Province. It is included two phases(l) baseline and (2) follow-up. The baseline included of 82 (50 males and 32 females) participants with schizo phrenia. Their (patients) ages ranged from 17 years to 62 years with the mean age of 37.5 (SD=l 0.2). So, forty-one (41) patients were the experimental group who interviewed and also received intervention , and the remaining forty-one(41) were only interviewed at the baseline. After nine moths , follow-up was done, and it included fifty-seven (36 males and 21 females) participants who were followed up at their homes. Thirty-one (31) were the experimental group and twenty-six (26) were the control group. Their ages ranged from 20 years to 62 years with the mean age 39.3 (SD= l2.6). At follow-up , the questionnaire was going along with the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale for both groups. The results showed that most of the patients were compliant to their medications however ,with no significant differences because of the small sample that represented the population . For instance , not all patients were available at the follow-up session and there were other factors that could harm the effectiveness of research. The research concludes that psycho-education in South Africa can promise to improve health for the individuals only if the psychiatrists continue to educate patients to be effective on their treatment; and it can provide a concrete approach to the development of social and coping skills of the patients and their families.

Marilan Negrão Borges Luz Gomes 04 December 2011 (has links)
A reflection on the educational development of children in Early Childhood Education related to the need to practice the ethics of care in making teaching in institutions of kindergarten viewing the formation of an adult in the future with building ethics into their personal and social action. The first chapter gives way to an ethics of care. To that end, considers ethical, moral and ethical distinction has ethical and moral construction of the child in kindergarten. Currently, it is clear that the concept of ethics is, by many, confused with the concept of morality. Understanding that is part of moral ethics, and ethical conduct is behavior that includes not only moral, but also the virtues and values, is one of the focuses in this chapter. Given the understanding of what is ethical and what is moral, we seek to understand the ethics of care, which presents its concept and its forms: natural and essential. Ends up, revealing the moral and ethical construction phase of the child in kindergarten through models displayed experienced. In the second chapter, there is a study directed specifically to children's education. After his concept, the story of a brief history brings out the thinking of some theorists who influenced the early childhood education, and Kohlberg, Montessori, Pestalozzi, Vygotsky, Piaget, among others. Then differentiates to educate caring, establishing the role of caring in children's education, the need for a properly trained teacher to work in Early Childhood Education, aware of its role and importance of caring for the play and play at this stage as well as the family's role in educational attainment of children. Finally, the fourth chapter suggests, as viewed from the studies in previous chapters, make suggestions for Childhood Education focused on the ethical practices of care, a natural obligation, and essential, by necessity of its importance to the educational integral child in kindergarten, allowing the construction of a new adult in the future, by acting according to their ethical training.

Vaara, Tanja January 2010 (has links)
This study’s main goal is to help the ship management to work towards a more sustainable development by introducing the concept in, for the shipping business, concrete concept. It is also of importance to remember that the goal with this educational training is not to create a perfect person, but to increase the ship management’s awareness to minimize the risk of bad decisions based on lack of knowledge. It is of importance that the ship management increases their knowledge of the significance of the three dimensions ecology, economics and social aspects. The ship management tools for working towards a more sustainable development is hoped to increase by giving them better understanding for the fact that an improvement of one of the dimensions may lead to an improvement of the others (SOU 2004:104). The ship management is meant to realize that the ecological capacity being the most important for life a development cannot be sustainable if the economic growth is less environmentally adjusted than necessary. In working towards a sustainable development it is of great importance that all the dimensions´ driving forces are given attention before making a decision. The ecological dimension is given, us being depended of the environment, the social aspect is anything between the managements demands and customers inquiry. The economical aspects are many, but the different governments’ mean of control may be the most important, although it has been shown that environmental improvements also giving an economical profit are done without external control. This regulation made by the company indicates that the company is willing to make measures towards are more sustainable development. This study will also highlight the pedagogical aspects when teaching about sustainable development. In conclusion the importance of the managements´ devotion to make sure that the employees have the tools to work towards solutions based on sustainable development is found. The importance of making sustainable development concrete by using freshwater consumption as an example is also stated. Finally, to be able to work towards more sustainable development and to uphold the quality it is of great importance that there is a project plan where follow-up and feedback are essential. This study also introduces a package of measure for the freshwater reduction onboard the ships among other recommended measures such as changing the showers mouthpieces. It is of great importance that the measures made will lead to the long-term sustainable development that will be required.

Staff Educational Program to Prevent Medication Errors

Hawthorne-Kanife, Rita Chinyere 01 January 2018 (has links)
Medication administration errors (MAEs) may lead to adverse drug events, patient morbidity, prolonged hospital stays, and increased readmission rates, and may contribute to major financial losses for the health system. MAEs are the most common type of error occurring within the health care setting leading to an estimated 7,000 patient deaths every year. Interventions have been designed to prevent MAEs including education for nurses who administer medications; however, little effort has been made to design systematic educational programs that are based on local needs and contexts. The purpose of this project was to identify internal and external factors related to MAEs at the practice site, develop an education program tailored to the factors contributing to MAEs, and implement the program using a pretest posttest design. The Iowa model was used to guide the project. The 26 nurse participants who responded to an initial survey indicated that nurses felt distractions and interruptions during medication administration, and hesitancy to ask for help or to report medication errors increased MAE risks. After the education program, the pretest and posttest results were analyzed and revealed improvement in knowledge and confidence of medication administration (M = 3.2 pre, M = 3.7 post, p < .05). Open-ended question responses suggested a need for dedicated time for preparation and administration of medications without interruptions. Positive social change is possible as nurses become knowledgeable and confident about medication administration safety and as patients are protected from injury secondary to MAEs.
