Lärares erfarenheter av heldigitala läromedel : Arbetsprocesser i den dynamiska klassrumskontexten / Teachers' experiences of collaborative Digital Textbooks : Work processes in the dynamic classroom context

Fully digital educational materials, collaborative Digital Textbooks (cDTB), are common in the Swedish educational materials market. This study examines, from the teachers' point of view, the advantages and challenges of cDTB, and the decision-making process of teachers regarding the selection of educational materials was analysed. Six teachers in Swedish compulsory school grades 7 – 9 were interviewed, and the results show that the teachers' integration of cDTB into their teaching is value-driven and embedded in a dynamic system. The cDTB are considered to have many advantages, and at the same time, during the work process, challenges have been encountered that have required various types of decisions. These decisions have often resulted in the use of other digital teaching and learning materials and printed textbooks as a supplement to the cDTB. The use of the cDTB, however, may change over time and look different depending on what the teacher perceives as possible in a specific classroom context. The main conclusion of the study is therefore that the value of the technology use in relation to the teaching goal is primary for the teacher, while the product of the technology use, i.e., the extent to which the cDTB is used, is secondary. / Heldigitala läromedel, collaborative Digital Textbooks (cDTB), är vanligt förekommande på den svenska läromedelsmarknaden. Denna studie undersöker, utifrån lärares synvinkel, fördelar respektive utmaningar med heldigitala läromedel, och lärares beslutsprocess gällande val av läromedel för undervisningspraktiken analyserades. 6 lärare i grundskolans årskurs 7 – 9 intervjuades, och resultatet visar att lärarnas integrering av heldigitala läromedel i undervisningen är värdedriven och inbyggd i ett dynamiskt system. De heldigitala läromedlen anses ha många fördelar, och samtidigt har lärarna stött på utmaningar under arbetsprocessen som krävt olika typer av beslut. Dessa beslut har ofta resulterat i att andra digitala lärresurser och tryckta läroböcker använts som komplettering till det heldigitala läromedlet. Användningen av det heldigitala läromedlet kan dock förändras över tid och se olika ut beroende på vad läraren uppfattar som möjligt i en viss klassrumskontext. Studiens huvudsakliga slutsats är därför att värdet av teknikanvändningen i förhållande till målet med undervisningen är det primära för läraren, medan produkten av teknikanvändningen, det vill säga i vilken omfattning det heldigitala läromedlet används, är sekundär.

Internetový výukový atlas zaměřený na půdní členovce / Internet Educational Atlas Focusing on Soil Arthropods

The main objective of this thesis was to create an educational website aimed at soil arthropods. It can be used primarily by teachers of biology and ecology, lecturers of extracurricular science education or by the students who are interested in this issue. This photographic atlas of soil arthropods consists of my own micro images obtained by the use of light and scanning electron microscope. The micro images are accompanied by text to each group of soil arthropods, which is divided into sections containing information about the systematic classification, anatomy and morphology, biology and importance, eventually representatives of the group. The atlas is accompanied by other materials usable in the classroom, such as didactic test, didactic game and proposals for group work, worksheet, field and laboratory work or educational presentations focused on soil arthropods. Este trabalho tem como meta confrontar estudos teóricos sobre a problemática das ações sociais de empresas com os resultados de um estudo de caso sobre o Programa Moto Perpétuo da Fiat Automóveis S.A. que, durante cinco anos (1997 a 2001), voltou-se à doação de kits de materiais paradidáticos para milhares de escolas de diferentes regiões do Brasil. Apesar do amplo alcance do Programa, base na qual seus promotores se apoiaram para afirmar tratar-se da maior parceria da iniciativa privada com o governo federal dentro do Acorda Brasil! Está na hora da Escola - programa do Ministério da Educação dedicado a estimular a participação da iniciativa privada através de ações em prol da educação -, não havia, até o momento, nenhum estudo que demonstrasse os efeitos práticos dessa ação, seja na melhoria da educação (propósito declarado como motivação principal para sua existência), seja nas implicações de um redimensionamento das esferas pública e privada, assunto que acalora muitos debates na atualidade. Diante dessas constatações, optou-se pela realização de levantamento e leitura de diferentes fontes que tratam, de maneira direta ou não, da chamada responsabilidade social de empresas. Além de passo fundamental para uma adequada abordagem do objeto estudado, em última instância, esta etapa possibilitou subsidiar inferências mais amplas sobre este tema que condensa interesses conflitantes, na maioria das vezes expressos por discursos de promoção e de crítica mais afeitos às ideologias que espelhados no significado concreto de muitas dessas ações sociais. Numa outra parte, mediante informações obtidas com a realização de entrevistas e pelo levantamento e exame de diversos documentos, se analisou o Programa Moto Perpétuo. Como um exemplo da atuação privada junto ao setor público, pôde-se verificar que as correntes expectativas da eficiência de gestão e transferência de recursos em quantidade e qualidade suficientes não se concretizaram. Não obstante, os números sobre o Programa que foram divulgados (alunos e escolas beneficiadas e montante de recursos investidos), comparativamente altos diante de outras iniciativas deste tipo, foram componentes do êxito na construção de uma imagem positiva por parte dos promotores dessa ação junto a setores da opinião pública. Na somatória dessas constatações e de outros aspectos analisados, foi possível demonstrar que prevaleceram interesses de ordem comercial em detrimento das motivações declaradas da iniciativa de ajuda à educação. Apesar de não se poder afirmar que a iniciativa tenha resultado num avanço privado redefinidor do caráter público dos sistemas estadual e municipal de ensino atingidos pelo Programa, há indícios de que a implementação do Moto Perpétuo esteve condicionada pelas relações público (governo federal) - privado (empresa do setor automobilístico), representando um inédito capítulo centrado na educação, frente a um panorama no qual sobressaem historicamente acordos de ajuda mútua de caráter político-econômico. / The aim of this research is to confront theoretical studies about the problematic of social actions promoted by private companies with the results of a case study focusing the Moto Perpétuo Program sponsored by Fiat automobiles S.A. which, for five years (1997 a 2001), donated kits of educational materials to thousands of schools from different regions of Brazil. Despite the ample reach of the Program, in which its promoters based themselves to assert that it was the biggest partnership of a private institution with the Brazilian Federal Government Program of Education Acorda Brasil! Está na hora da escola (Wake up Brazil! It´s time of school) destined to encourage private institutions to act for the education there wasn t, up to now, any study that could demonstrate the practical effects of this action, whether it was for the educational improvement (declared purpose as the main motivation for its existence), or in the implications to reassess the extent of the public and private spheres, a question that heats many debates nowadays. In the face of these observations, it was opted to do a reading and research from different sources that deal, directly or not, with the business social responsibility. More than a fundamental step for an appropriated approach of the studied object, this stage permitted to subsidise broader inferences about this subject, which condenses conflicting interests, frequently expressed by speeches of promotion and criticism more accustomed to ideologies than mirrored in the concrete meaning of many of these social actions. In another part, the Moto Perpétuo Program was analysed by the information obtained from interviews and researches. As an example of the private acting in the public sector, it was verified that the current expectations of management efficiency and transfer of resources, in quantity and quality, didn t come true. Nevertheless, the data published about the Program (resources invested, students and schools benefited) comparatively high in the face of other initiatives like that, were components of success in the construction of a positive image made by the promoters of this action for the public opinion. In the sum of these observations and other aspects analysed, it was possible to demonstrate that commercial interests prevailed over the declared motivations to assist the education. Although it was not possible to assert that the initiative has resulted in a private advancement redefining the public nature of the State and Municipal system of teaching reached by the Program, there are evidences that the implementation of the Moto Perpétuo was conditioned by the relationship between the public (Federal Government) and the private (automobiles company), representing an unheard-of chapter centred on the education, facing a survey that stands out agreements of mutual help of political-economical nature.

O enfermeiro e sua equipe são os responsáveis pela execução dos procedimentos técnicos e os cuidados antes e depois da coleta de exames laboratoriais. Na diretriz curricular dos cursos de graduação em enfermagem, a exigência é de que o enfermeiro tenha uma formação generalista, humanista, crítica e reflexiva, se tornando um profissional qualificado para o exercício de Enfermagem com base no rigor científico e intelectual e pautado em princípios éticos. Para assegurar este perfil as instituições de ensino estruturam seus planos pedagógicos de forma genérica, dificultando a entrada de profissionais em campos específicos da enfermagem. Este fato se reflete na dificuldade de contratação de enfermeiros na área de análises clínicas. Por esta razão o objetivo deste estudo constitui-se do desenho e avaliação de um curso e-learning em análises clínicas para enfermeiros. É justamente para suprir esta lacuna, proporcionando ao profissional um conhecimento mais aprofundado neste segmento. A metodologia caracteriza-se por uma produção tecnológica, criando-se um produto/serviço dedicado à capacitação e especialização de enfermeiros na área de análises clínicas. O curso foi construído e executado com a utilização do Sistema de Gestão de Aprendizagem Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. O tema central do curso foi dividido em 10 módulos, perfazendo uma carga horária total de 60h, sendo eles todos sequenciais e complementares. O curso foi avaliado por onze juízes experts nas áreas de educação, análises clínicas e tecnologia da informação, embasados em três dimensões: pedagógica, tecnológica e comunicacional. De maneira geral, o curso foi avaliado pelos especialistas como suficiente, sendo que 16 dos 22 itens avaliados tiveram uma média acima do nível de concordância de 70%, os quais sugeriram oportunidades de melhoria. Conclui-se que este curso possibilitará o crescimento profissional de enfermeiros através de um processo de aprendizado dinâmico e colaborativo, proporcionando um saber fazer reflexivo com a utilização de diferentes ferramentas tecnológicas. / Nursing has an important role in Clinical Analyses Laboratories, especially in the pre- analytical phase. Nurses and their staff are responsible for implementing the technical procedures and they should take care of the laboratory exams before and after they are collected. In the curriculum of nursing graduation course, nurses must have a general, humane, critical and reflective requirement. They should become a qualified professional, for the practice of nursing based on scientific, intellectual and they should be guided by ethical principles. To ensure this nurse profile, the educational institutions structure their teaching on generic programs, hindering market entry by newcomers in specific fields of nursing. This fact demonstrates the difficulties found in the hiring of nurses in the area of clinical analyzes. For this reason, the aim of this study is to evaluate an "e-learning" nursing course in clinical analysis for nurses. This course is to fill the gap mentioned before and to provide the professionals, expertise in this field. The methodology is characterized by a technological production. It creates a product and/or service that dedicate itself to the training and expertise of professional nurses in clinical analysis. The course was built and run using the Moodle Learning Management System (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). The course has a workload of 60 hours, divided into 10 modules, and the modules are sequential and complementary. Twelve judges with expertise in education, clinical analysis and information technology evaluated the course. It was based on three pillars: pedagogical, technological and communication. The experts as satisfactory assessed the course, 16 out of 22 items were evaluated and had an average above the level of agreement of 70 %, which suggested improvement of opportunities for the nurses. We conclude that this specialization course will enable the growth of professional nurses through a dynamic and collaborative learning process, providing a reflective know -how, with the use of different technological tools.

Práticas de letramentos e leituras multimodais de materiais didáticos e as aulas de inglês na rede pública de Sergipe

Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq / This thesis relates to the line of research Educators Training, Knowledge and Skills, which is linked to the Program of Post-Graduation in Education (PPGED) from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). It was conducted between 2014 and 2018, and it aimed at understanding how the theories of literacies contribute to the expansion of perspectives of public school English teachers, as for the multimodality that is present in educational materials, considering the role English teaching can play for the development of critical citizenship. This is a qualitative multireferential research that was conducted under the perspective of research training; and it adopted the following instruments: field journal, audio recordings, semistructured interviews, and documental analysis. The focus of the investigation was on the meanings that were built in the practices of literacies, which involved readings of visual texts (images) and other multimodal elements, highlighting the importance of critical literacies. The research was developed in the context of in-service English teacher education and the investigation involved the schoolbook for it is the most present resource in the practices of those teachers. The research participants teach at public schools that are located in different municipalities in the state of Sergipe; which represented a positive element for the development of this investigation, due to the character of diversity of experiences and contexts. The theories of literacies gave support to the problematizations that were made as for the relationship between education, English teaching, neoliberalism, educational materials, National Textbook Program (PNLD), globalization, and the multimodal character of communication. The main results indicate that the activities that were conducted along with the teachers contributed to the expansion of their perspectives by development new ways to deal with multimodal readings of educational materials, considering the role that English teaching can play in the education of critical citizens. / Esta tese está inserida na linha de pesquisa Formação de Educadores Saberes e Competências, vinculada ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação (PPGED), da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS). Foi desenvolvida no período de 2014 a 2018, tendo por objetivo compreender de que maneira as teorias dos letramentos contribuem para a expansão de perspectivas de docentes de inglês da rede pública, quanto à multimodalidade presente nos materiais didáticos, considerando-se o papel que o ensino de língua inglesa pode desempenhar na formação da cidadania crítica. Esta pesquisa qualitativa-multirreferencial foi conduzida sob a perspectiva da pesquisa-formação, utilizando-se dos seguintes instrumentos: diário de campo, questionários, gravações em áudio, entrevistas semiestruturadas e análise documental. O foco da investigação esteve nos significados que foram construídos nas práticas de letramentos que envolveram leituras de textos visuais (imagens) e outros elementos multimodais, ressaltando a importância dos letramentos críticos. A pesquisa se desenvolveu no contexto de formação continuada de professores e a investigação envolveu o livro didático, por ser esse recurso o mais presente nas práticas daqueles docentes. Os participantes da pesquisa lecionam em escolas localizadas em diferentes municípios do estado de Sergipe, uma condição positiva para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, devido ao caráter de diversidade de experiências e contextos. As teorias dos letramentos embasaram as problematizações feitas a respeito das relações entre educação, ensino de inglês, neoliberalismo, material didático, Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), globalização e o caráter multimodal da comunicação. Využití dokumentárního filmu ve výuce anglického jazyka na středních školách / The Use of Documentary Films in English Language Lessons with High School Students

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of documentary films in English lessons with secondary school students. It consists of theoretical and practical part; this being further divided into didactic and research part. The theoretical part covers four main areas: aims of current education and language teaching, multimedia in teaching, authentic materials in English lessons, and documentary films as a didactic tool. By an eclectic combination of the most suitable findings, approaches and methods from these areas, three complex educational materials based on documentaries were constructed for English lessons. These materials contain worksheets for students, instructions for teachers, presentations for online teaching, and a set of additional sheets and present a ready-to-use tool for English classes. In the practical part, design of the materials is described, along with their subsequent evaluation by experienced English teachers. Based on the materials design and evaluation, the overall aim of this thesis is to find out whether documentary films and lessons based on them are effective for English language teaching (where the main criterion is whether they lead to fulfilling the aims of language teaching and current educational aims in general) and what their main benefits are. Demonstrace jako prostředek názornosti v chemickém vzdělávání / Demonstrations as an illustrative tool in chemistry education

Demonstrations are considered an important illustrative tool in chemistry education. Quite often teachers use demonstrations of experiments and multimedia demonstrations. Besides, "non-experimental" demonstrations might also be useful, such as material models and demonstrations based on macroscopic analogy that can be usually carried out only with household items and materials. This dissertation is especially aimed at selecting appropriate demonstrations, at their design, development and use of "non-experimental" demonstrations. Moreover, special attention was paid to the interdisciplinary demonstrations concerning the nanoworld, so called "nanodemonstrations". All "nanodemonstrations" presented are safe, cheap and rather timesaving. Furthermore, they can be carried out in a form of lecture and / or students' demonstration. Newly created as well as adopted (and modified) "nanodemonstrations" were collected into the Czech database of "nanodemonstrations". The database was additionally accompanied with following educational materials concerning "nano": two PowerPoint presentations, worksheets that supplement students' "nanodemonstrations" and worksheets with interdisciplinary tasks. In this study, the aim has been to investigate how different educational materials in the nature science subjects are designed with the intention of how many and what types of laboratory activities the pupils will encounter to contextualize the abstract nature of science to develop their understanding of the content and working methods of science. In order for the pupils to have the opportunity to develop a scientific understanding, it is necessary that they have the opportunity to use their senses to interpret the text that is presented to them. Through various sensual, experimental, and practical activities, pupils can gain an understanding of the abstract phenomena, concepts, and explanatory models of natural science. In today's schools, there are many teachers who use educational materials as their point of departure when teaching science. Educational materials have an important role in science teaching, but depending on how the educational materials are designed, they provide different conditions for learning. In this study, the number of laboratory activities, that appear in different educational materials for science teaching, is investigated, as well as whether these laboratory activities are designed in terms of their degree of freedom and openness. The following questions have been addressed in order to achieve the purpose of the study: - How many laboratory activities can be found in the various educational materials?-  Are there more laboratory activities in any of the three nature-oriented subjects, biology, physics, or chemistry? - What types of laboratory activities do the pupils encounter in the educational materials and what degree of openness and freedom do they include? The investigation has been carried out through a qualitative and quantitative text and content analysis where various educational materials have been analyzed based on the context-based learning (CBL) theory and the theory of laboratory classification. The results of the qualitative and quantitative text and content analysis showed that certain educational materials give the pupils more opportunities to connect the scientific content to real experiences. The results also showed that some educational materials have a greater variety of different laboratory forms where the pupils have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the different working methods and content of the natural sciences. The conclusion that can be drawn after this study is therefore that it is important that teachers carefully review the various2educational materials to gain insight into their design. Through insight into the design of the educational materials, the teacher can then supplement the educational materials with, for example, laboratories of varying degrees of openness and freedom to give the pupils the opportunity to fulfill the goals in the curriculum.

Teachers, while teaching, are facing to some sections of schoolwork which make serious problems to understand. The main task of this diploma thesis is solving the issue of organic chemistry on the field of Gymnasium. The pedagogical attitude was chosen for the selection of problem parts. New educational materials were purposed on the basis of gathered information and thanks to the research the efficiency of teaching the organic chemistry and its problematic parts should augment the undestanding of the problematic parts as well as the bettering of education. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis looks into the methodology of pedagogical research, curriculum documents, didactic methods and forms and literature exploration of defined problem parts of textbooks of organic chemisty for the high schools. Consequently, the practical part exposes results of the performed pedagogical research and the analyse of schoolbooks. Including noticed facts, the main output of the dissertation is the package of the new educational materials and various methods of education focused on the specific parts of the curriculum of organic chemistry, specificaly the set of the new instructional backgrounds solving the circumstances of organical chemistry.
