Granström, Elisabet, Larsson, Erika January 2006 (has links)

/
The subject for this essay is the making of a gender equality plan for the Energicompany. The purpose with this inquiry was to investigate the employees attitude to equality between the sexes, at the workplace at the parent company Energi in the Energigroup. We were using questionnaire as method in our study. The main research findings are that there is a lot of work to be done considering gender equality in the organisation. We think that the gender equality plan also can be very useful for Energibolaget as it can be used as an action plan.

Justice, Fairness, and Moral Development: Differences in the Generation of Exemplars

Alvarado, Beatriz Irene January 2012 (has links)
Fairness and justice are often used interchangeably in socio-legal research. The goal of this study was to use 157 student-produced examples of either "injustice" or "unfairness" to determine whether differences exist in the content of the stories, and by extension, the definitions of these terms, and on participants' scores on modified versions of Kohlberg and Gilligan's levels of moral development. As hypothesized, the two terms were related, yet significantly different, with "unfairness" stories highlighting violations of equality, and "injustice" stories highlighting legal interactions and violations of equity. Sex differences were also found such that females were more likely to write stories rated high on unfairness and therefore equality, but no sex differences were found in level of moral reasoning reached by this sample. Future research is aimed at developing theory to explain differences, including the possible innate nature of "fairness" and environmental requirements leading to a concept of "justice".

Using Harry Potter to Discuss Moral Values and Equality in the English Language Classroom

Hildingsson, My January 2013 (has links)

How to Get Married: An Examination of the Marriage Equality Litigation Strategy

Yao, Tracy 01 January 2015 (has links)
Marriage equality exists in 35 states and the District of Columbia. Activists are waiting on the Supreme Court to issue a ruling and bring the movement to its conclusion. Critics of litigation claim that its effects are limited at best, and that the movement's desired result could be achieved without stepping foot in a courtroom. This Article seeks to examine the marriage equality movement's strategy for getting to this point, particularly the role of courts, and argues that litigation was an effective and necessary means of expanding the freedom to marry.
