The investigation had, as its historical-philosophical base, the historical and dialectical materialism, utilized to biographical and, principally, documentary researches, which procedures were conducted by methodological principles of Italian micro-history. These occasions are an expression of the political organization of psychologists in the late 1970 s that appropriated the entities of the category in the early 1980 s and proposed an ethical-political psychology project based on a critical reading of the profession, comprehended as socially committed with the low income classes. It is from this movement that an Education Committee arises, responsible for the discussion of psychology in education, which has as initiative to arrange the psychologists, through meetings which, in turn, enabled a school and educational psychology project. These events represent a remarkable moment of political organization and critical discussions, as well as a historical synthesis of experiments in educational psychology, whereupon Sérgio Antonio da Silva Leite and Yvonne Alvarenga Gonçalves Khouri stand out for their importance. We conclude that the meetings are products of the ethical-political psychology project, as are producers of a school and educational psychology project, becoming a significant historical fact of the psychology historiography in São Paulo / Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar Os Encontros de Psicólogos da Área de Educação, um conjunto de três eventos realizados no início da década de 1980 no Instituto Sedes Sapientiae em São Paulo sob a organização do Sindicato dos Psicólogos do Estado de São Paulo (SPESP) e do Conselho Regional de Psicologia da 6ª Região (CRP-06). A investigação teve como base histórico-filosófica o materialismo histórico-dialético, servindo-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e, sobretudo, pesquisa documental, cujos procedimentos foram orientados pelos princípios metodológicos da micro-história italiana. Esses eventos são expressão da organização política dos psicólogos no final da década de 1970 que ao tomarem as entidades da categoria no início de 1980 propõem um projeto ético-político da Psicologia com base em uma leitura crítica da profissão, compreendida como socialmente comprometida com as classes populares. É a partir desse movimento que surge uma Comissão de Educação, responsável pela discussão da psicologia na área de educação que tem como iniciativa organizar os psicólogos, por meio dos Encontros que, por sua vez, viabilizaram um projeto de psicologia escolar e educacional. Esses eventos representam um importante momento de organização política e discussões críticas, assim como uma síntese histórica das experiências em psicologia da educação, nos quais sobressai o protagonismo de Sérgio Antonio da Silva Leite e Yvonne Alvarenga Gonçalves Khouri. Concluímos que os Encontros são produtos do projeto ético-político da Psicologia, assim como são produtores de um projeto de psicologia escolar e educacional, tornando-se um fato histórico importante da historiografia da psicologia em São Paulo

It is also intended to analyze the contribution of Marx s social theory for the profession and its subsequent materialization in daily life of professional work. It is a study of qualitative approach, including a literature review and a field research, through semistructured interviews with three social workers one of the healthcare area, another a teaching and a third of the Judiciary in the city of Uberaba, MG, in the year 2012. This work was justified by questioning the forms of appropriation of the Marx s social theory by social workers and the forms of objectification of the ethical-political professional project in daily professional work. It was noted that there is a degree of ownership of Marx s social theory by social workers, as well as obstacles in the process of vocational training that fell on these theoretical-methodological bases deficiencies. The limitations for the objectification of professional project in daily work come from the relative difficulty in taking ownership of Marx's theory. The subjects understand the centrality of contemporary Social Service professional project, but they are limited in this objectification, given the social relations of capitalist production and institutional boundaries. It was noted that the difficulty in joining the class project cannot be attributed solely to institutional or capitalist limits; that project is to be thought of as a compromise to overcome the determinations and locate man as the measure of all things / Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o processo de apropriação e da objetivação da teoria social de Marx e seus rebatimentos no projeto ético-político profissional junto aos assistentes sociais. Pretende-se ainda, analisar qual a contribuição da teoria social de Marx para a profissão e sua consequente materialização no cotidiano do trabalho profissional. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, tendo como procedimento a revisão de literatura e pesquisa de campo, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada com três assistentes sociais da cidade de Uberaba, MG, no ano de 2012, sendo um da área da saúde, um da docência e um do Tribunal de Justiça. Este trabalho justificou-se pelos questionamentos sobre as formas de apropriação da teoria social de Marx pelos assistentes sociais e as formas de objetivação do projeto ético-político profissional no cotidiano do trabalho profissional. Observou-se que há uma relativa apropriação da teoria social de Marx pelos assistentes sociais, constatando entraves no processo de formação profissional que incidiram nessas deficiências de bases teórico-metodológicas. Da relativa dificuldade em apropriar-se do arcabouço teórico de Marx apontam-se as limitações para a objetivação do projeto profissional no cotidiano de trabalho. Dessa forma, os sujeitos compreendem a centralidade do projeto profissional no Serviço Social contemporâneo, porém se veem limitados nesta objetivação, dadas as relações sociais de produção capitalista e dos limites institucionais. Observou-se que a dificuldade na adesão ao projeto de classe não pode ser atribuída exclusivamente aos limites institucionais ou do capital; esse projeto necessita ser pensado como um compromisso que supere as determinações e situe o homem como a medida de todas as coisas

The purpose of this research was conducted by the view of the Ethical-political Project of Social Work, placing it in the socio-historical juncture in its various determinations, so limits and possibilities are part of the same dynamic of reality in the perspective of defense of social security rights of the insured in these institutes. Thus Chapter I expressed from the ontological dimension of social being, the work activity, the contradiction between capital and labor in order to understand this unity in diversity in the cyclical crises of large capital and which ones are the repercussions of this offensive in Brazil. The Chapter II dealt to historicize the Social Security in Brazil and its pension reforms in 1998 and 2003. The concern of Chapter III was to contextualize the profession of Social Work in the State sphere, understanding that the profession, from the perspective of work division, can only be analyzed in the context of societarian transformations, having the expressions of Social Issue as its aim of work. This problematization was illuminated by the Professional Project on the understanding that conservatism, being one way to understand the production and reproduction of material life and social, surpasses the history of the profession and stands today as a reality to be faced with theoretical and methodological skills, as well as the ethical-political and technical-operational ones. The Chapter IV was built with the interlocutors from the research partners, with rich interview material, contributing to the finding that the professional project is under construction in these socio-occupational spaces, since it was possible to identify some foundations for this building, however, it needs articulation of forces and organization among professionals because acting individually runs the risk of succumbing to the neoliberal strategies / Esta dissertação trata de compreender e problematizar, nas sendas da teoria social crítica, o cotidiano de trabalho de assistentes sociais em Institutos previdenciários de Regime Próprio da Grande São Paulo, precisamente cinco Autarquias. Essa finalidade da pesquisa foi realizada à luz do Projeto Ético-político do Serviço Social, situando-o na conjuntura sócio-histórica em suas diversas determinações, por isso limites e possibilidades fazem parte de uma mesma dinâmica de realidade na defesa dos direitos previdenciários dos segurados de tais Institutos. Dessa maneira o Capítulo I expôs a partir da dimensão ontológica do ser social, pela atividade trabalho, a contradição entre capital e trabalho a fim de entender essa unidade na diversidade, nas crises cíclicas do grande capital e os rebatimentos dessa ofensiva no Brasil. O Capítulo II tratou de historicizar a previdência social no Brasil e suas reformas previdenciárias nos idos de 1998 e 2003. A preocupação do Capítulo III foi a de contextualizar a profissão de Serviço Social na esfera estatal, entendendo que a profissão, sob a ótica da divisão do trabalho, somente pode ser analisada no contexto das transformações societárias, tendo nas expressões da questão social sua matéria de trabalho. Essa problematização foi iluminada pelo Projeto profissional no entendimento de que o conservadorismo, sendo um jeito de entender a produção e reprodução da vida material e social, atravessa a história da profissão e se coloca nos dias atuais como uma realidade a ser enfrentada com competência teórico-metodológica, ético-política e técnico-operativa. O Capítulo IV foi construído com os sujeitos interlocutores da pesquisa com riquíssimo material de entrevista, contribuindo com a análise de que o Projeto profissional está em construção nesses espaços sócio-ocupacionais, pois foi possível identificar alguns alicerces para essa edificação, no entanto, necessita articulação de forças e organização entre os/as profissionais, pois individualmente corre-se o risco de sucumbir às estratégias neoliberais

The enlargement of requisition to the Social Service in Federal Institutions of Education, due to expansion of Professional and Technological Education, is pointed as one of the main determinants of the education expansion as a place social-occupational for the profession. The analises looks for empirical references in the Federal Institutions of Education, Science and Technology at a national level.teh categories that fundamente the analisis are: work, social work, education and mediation. The acting of the Social Worker on the Professional and Technological Education was analysed by in the contradition between principles that guided the construtuion of the Professional Ethical-Political Project of Social Service and the neoliberal ideas that fundamente the educational reforms. The analisis of particularities of the social worker job in Federal Institutions of Education considered the social workers profile, the functions performed by Social Workers, actions developed in the institutional daily life, the chalenges and possibilities for the Professional Ethical-Political Project materialization in this field of activity. It is considered that the challenges are mediated by the contradiction between the neoliberal principles and those that guide the Ethical-Political Project; by the correlation of forces on the institutional space and by the commitment of work conditions resulting from the public education assistance process. Favorable mediations to possibilities are related to the commitment of professionals with the Professional Ethical-Political Project of Social Service, the organization and the social-politic articulations of the category, the development of social-educational actions and the correlation of forces on the institutional relations context. / Estudo a respeito do exercício profissional do Assistente Social no âmbito da Política de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica brasileira, visando compreender as possibilidades e os limites de uma atuação coerente com os princípios que orientam o Projeto Ético-Político Profissional considerado hegemônico no Serviço Social. A ampliação das requisições para o Serviço Social nos Institutos Federais de Educação, decorrente da expansão da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica, é apontada como um dos principais determinantes da expansão da educação como um espaço sócio-ocupacional para a profissão. A análise busca referências empíricas nos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia em nível nacional. As categorias que fundamentam a análise são: trabalho, serviço social, educação e mediação. A atuação do Assistente Social na Educação Profissional e Tecnológica foi analisada na contradição entre os princípios que orientaram a construção do Projeto Ético-Político Profissional do Serviço Social e as ideias neoliberais que fundamentam as reformas educacionais. A análise das particularidades do trabalho do assistente social nos Institutos Federais de Educação considerou o perfil dos assistentes sociais, as funções exercidas pelos Assistentes Sociais, ações desenvolvidas no cotidiano institucional, os desafios e as possibilidades para materialização do Projeto Ético-Político Profissional nesse campo de atuação. Considera-se que os desafios são mediados pela contradição entre os princípios neoliberais e os que orientam o Projeto Ético-Político, pela correlação de forças espaço institucional e pelo comprometimento das condições de trabalho resultantes do processo de assistencialização da educação pública. As mediações favoráveis às possibilidades estão relacionadas ao compromisso dos profissionais com o Projeto Ético-Político do Serviço Social, à organização e às articulações sócio-políticas da categoria, ao desenvolvimento de ações socioeducativas e às correlações de forças no contexto das relações institucionais.

Thus, this study sought in times of state reform, restructuring and tension between enlargement / reduction of social and labor rights, understanding the limits and possibilities of social work in HUOL, analyzing how these determinations bounce in the practice of social workers included in the collective process of health work. From a theoretical and methodological historical and dialectical materialism, we conducted literature search, in which developed book report and readings of texts, articles, books that focus on the central categories of the study, namely: Work, Social Work, Health, Health Reform , Project ethical and professional politician. Operationalized also a documentary research, on the Brazilian Public Health Policy, (SUS) and of the Education, as well as research field in which we conducted interviews with 11 social workers, employees packed the HUOL. We conclude that social workers did not participate in the discussion process of contracting the HUOL with the Municipal Health Secretariat of Natal, RN, manager of health and full resetting of user access, via reference setting - counter-referral services provided by the hospital brought the main demands on Social Work guidance regarding the functionality of SUS, and the social intervention in the struggle to guarantee such access. However, the data show that the expansion of demands that require the intervention of the social worker at HUOL is not associated with quantitative growth of these professionals need. Such conditions inflect the possibilities of materialization of the professional ethical-political project, even though that these professionals worry and seek the intellectual improvement, quality of service and to guarantee the social rights of users in the professional practice everyday / Esta pesquisa buscou analisar o trabalho dos assistentes sociais, no Hospital Universit?rio Onofre Lopes (HUOL), tendo como recorte anal?tico o processo de contratualiza??o do HUOL com o Sistema ?nico de Sa?de (SUS), que se configurou, a partir de 2004. Assim, este estudo procurou apreender os limites e possibilidades do trabalho do assistente social no HUOL, analisando como as determina??es deste tempo de reforma do Estado, reestrutura??o e tens?o entre amplia??o/redu??o dos direitos sociais e trabalhistas, rebatem no exerc?cio profissional dos assistentes sociais inseridos no processo coletivo de trabalho em sa?de. A partir de um referencial te?rico-metodol?gico materialista hist?rico e dial?tico, realizamos pesquisa bibliogr?fica, na qual desenvolvemos leituras e fichamentos de textos, artigos, livros, que enfocassem as categorias centrais do estudo, quais sejam: Trabalho, Servi?o Social, Sa?de, Reforma Sanit?ria, Projeto ?tico-pol?tico profissional. Operacionalizamos, tamb?m, uma pesquisa documental, acerca da Pol?tica de Sa?de P?blica, SUS e de Educa??o, bem como pesquisa de campo, na qual realizamos entrevistas com 11 assistentes sociais, lotadas no quadro de pessoal do HUOL. Conclu?mos que as assistentes sociais n?o participaram do processo de discuss?o da contratualiza??o do HUOL, com a Secretaria Municipal de Sa?de de Natal, RN, gestor pleno de sa?de e que a redefini??o do acesso dos usu?rios, via regula??o de refer?ncia contra refer?ncia aos servi?os disponibilizados pelo hospital trouxe como principais demandas ao Servi?o Social as orienta??es a respeito da funcionalidade do SUS, bem como a interven??o do assistente social na luta pela garantia deste acesso. Por?m, os dados mostram que a amplia??o das demandas que requerem a interven??o do assistente social do HUOL est? comprometida em virtude da redu??o desses profissionais, fato que se agravou nos ?ltimos dezesseis anos. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Esta dissertação analisa o Serviço Social no Comando da Aeronáutica COMAER, a partir dos elementos sócio-institucionais, teórico-metodológico e ético-política profissionais na instituição. O interesse em estudar este espaço socioocupacional do assistente social define-se pela necessidade de produção de conhecimento teórico e crítico acerca do trabalho desenvolvido pelo Serviço Social nas esferas militares: um campo de trabalho profissional em crescimento, porém pouco conhecido e debatido no âmbito acadêmico. O COMAER é uma instituição militar, repleta de singularidades, pautada nos princípios de hierarquia e disciplina. Configura-se como um espaço de contradições, correlação de forças e disputas por poder. Porém, é neste terreno contraditório e tenso que o Serviço Social se realiza e se concretiza. Para melhor compreensão acerca desta instituição, torna-se imprescindível a apreensão da realidade concreta, seus limites e possibilidades no movimento real de sua historicidade. Portanto, dedicamos parte deste estudo para desenvolver uma análise institucional. Além da referida análise, o presente estudo reconstrói o processo de implementação do Sistema de Assistência Social no COMAER, situa o trabalho do Serviço Social neste espaço socioocupacional num contexto de reestruturação produtiva, bem como se apropria do debate teórico-metodológico acerca do Projeto Ético Político Profissional para analisar as possibilidades de materialização dos princípios fundamentais do Código de Ética dos Assistentes Sociais no âmbito institucional. Esta dissertação conta também com pesquisa realizada com 24 assistentes sociais civis e militares, através de formulário auto-aplicável, a partir do qual foi possível traçar o perfil das assistentes sociais do COMAER e as condições em que o trabalho profissional se realiza. Ressaltamos o protagonismo do trabalho desenvolvido pelo Serviço Social no COMAER e afirmamos que é possível realizar um trabalho crítico, coerente com os princípios do Código de Ética Profissional e norteados pelo Projeto da Profissão numa instituição militar. / This dissertation examines the Social Service in the Brazilian AirForce - COMAER, the basis of the socio-institutional, theoretical and methodological and ethical-political professionals in the institution. The interest in studying this area of socio-occupational social worker, is defined by the need for production of theoretical critical knowledge about the work of Social Service in the military sphere: a professional labor camp in growth, but little known and debated by academics. The COMAER is a military institution, full of peculiarities, based on the principles of hierarchy and discipline. Appears as an area of contradictions, a correlation of forces and power struggles. However, is in this tense and contradictory area that Social Service is realized and concretized. For a better understanding of this institution, it is essential to grasp the reality, its limits and possibilities in the real movement of its historicity. Therefore, we dedicate part of this study to develop an institutional analysis. Beyond the referenced analysis, this study reconstructs the implementation of the Welfare System in the Brazilian Air Force, situate the work of Social Service in this socio-occupational space in a context of restructuring of production and appropriates the theoretical and methodological discussions about the ethical Political Project professional to examine the possibilities of realization of the fundamental principles of the Ethics Code of Social Workers within the institutional framework. This dissertation also uses a research made with 24 military and civilian social workers having as basis a self-administered form, from which was possible to get knowing the profile of the social workers of COMAER and the conditions under what its professional work takes place. We emphasize the role of the work of the Social Service in the Brazilian Air Force and affirm that it is possible to perform a critical job, consistent with the principles of the Professional Ethics Code and guided by the profession project in a military institution.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / O presente estudo aborda a Formação Acadêmica e Profissional em Serviço Social tomando como objeto o Corpo Docente das Faculdades Públicas de Serviço Social do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Tomamos como referência o projeto ético político do Serviço Social, especialmente, o projeto de formação da ABEPSS, parte e expressão do primeiro. Observamos que os docentes são sujeitos imprescindíveis no processo de formação dos graduandos e, ainda que não determinem o posicionamento e a direção social escolhidos pelos futuros profissionais, colaboram ou não para um processo de formação crítica que pode contribuir para que o futuro assistente social tenha o perfil profissional explicitado nas Diretrizes Curriculares da ABEPSS: profissional dotado de formação intelectual e cultural, generalista e crítica, competente em sua área de desempenho, com capacidade de inserção criativa e propositiva, no conjunto das relações sociais e no mercado de trabalho (ABEPSS, 2002). Partimos da hipótese de que a disputa por projetos distintos no interior do Serviço Social vem se dando no meio acadêmico de maneira velada no sentido de que tudo o que diz respeito ao Serviço Social pode se articular ao projeto ético-político, como se o mesmo não resultasse de um processo ligado à teoria crítica e de uma mudança ideopolítica no interior da categoria dos assistentes sociais. Consequentemente, a presença nos espaços da academia de tendências conservadoras e neoconservadoras, vem aprofundando o afastamento do debate/problematização de questões essenciais à profissão como, por exemplo, o cotidiano e o exercício profissional. Concluimos que se por um lado, o perfil docente, no que diz respeito à formação dos professores pesquisados, é um perfil que pode responder às necessidades do projeto de formação acadêmica e profissional da ABEPSS, por outro lado, quando abordamos as linhas e projetos de pesquisa que fundamentam a produção dos referidos docentes, observamos um distanciamento do Serviço Social e do projeto ético-político. / The present study deals with the Professional and Academic Formation in Social Work, taking as subject the Teaching Staff of Public Social Work Universities in the State of Rio de Janeiro. We are based on the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work, specially the ABEPSS formation project, part and expression of that. We notice that professors are indispensable in the formation process of the students and, even though they do not define the social position and direction that are chosen by the future professionals, they cooperate or not for a process of critical formation that can contribute for the future social worker to have the professional profile laid down on the Curricular Guidelines of ABEPSS: a professional with intellectual and cultural formation, critic and generalist, competent in hisher performance area, with the capacity of creative and propositional insertion, on the group of social relations and in the labor market (ABEPSS, 2002). We assume the hypothesis that the dispute for distinct projects in the field of Social Work has been occurring in the Academia so veiled when everything that refers to Social Work can be articulated to the Ethical-Political Project, as if it wasnt a result of a process linked to the critic theory and of a ideological and political change in the middle of the category of social workers. Therefore, the presence, in academic spaces, of conservatism and neoconservatism tendencies, is improving the distance of the debate / problematization of essential issues of the profession as, for example, the professional everyday and exercise. We conclude that, if by one side, the teaching staff profile, referring to the formation of the searched professors, is a profile that can answer to the necessities of the ABEPSS academic and professional formation project, by the other side, when we talk about the lines and projects of research that inspire their production we notice a detachment from Social Work and the Ethical-Political Project.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Esta dissertação analisa o Serviço Social no Comando da Aeronáutica COMAER, a partir dos elementos sócio-institucionais, teórico-metodológico e ético-política profissionais na instituição. O interesse em estudar este espaço socioocupacional do assistente social define-se pela necessidade de produção de conhecimento teórico e crítico acerca do trabalho desenvolvido pelo Serviço Social nas esferas militares: um campo de trabalho profissional em crescimento, porém pouco conhecido e debatido no âmbito acadêmico. O COMAER é uma instituição militar, repleta de singularidades, pautada nos princípios de hierarquia e disciplina. Configura-se como um espaço de contradições, correlação de forças e disputas por poder. Porém, é neste terreno contraditório e tenso que o Serviço Social se realiza e se concretiza. Para melhor compreensão acerca desta instituição, torna-se imprescindível a apreensão da realidade concreta, seus limites e possibilidades no movimento real de sua historicidade. Portanto, dedicamos parte deste estudo para desenvolver uma análise institucional. Além da referida análise, o presente estudo reconstrói o processo de implementação do Sistema de Assistência Social no COMAER, situa o trabalho do Serviço Social neste espaço socioocupacional num contexto de reestruturação produtiva, bem como se apropria do debate teórico-metodológico acerca do Projeto Ético Político Profissional para analisar as possibilidades de materialização dos princípios fundamentais do Código de Ética dos Assistentes Sociais no âmbito institucional. Esta dissertação conta também com pesquisa realizada com 24 assistentes sociais civis e militares, através de formulário auto-aplicável, a partir do qual foi possível traçar o perfil das assistentes sociais do COMAER e as condições em que o trabalho profissional se realiza. Ressaltamos o protagonismo do trabalho desenvolvido pelo Serviço Social no COMAER e afirmamos que é possível realizar um trabalho crítico, coerente com os princípios do Código de Ética Profissional e norteados pelo Projeto da Profissão numa instituição militar. / This dissertation examines the Social Service in the Brazilian AirForce - COMAER, the basis of the socio-institutional, theoretical and methodological and ethical-political professionals in the institution. The interest in studying this area of socio-occupational social worker, is defined by the need for production of theoretical critical knowledge about the work of Social Service in the military sphere: a professional labor camp in growth, but little known and debated by academics. The COMAER is a military institution, full of peculiarities, based on the principles of hierarchy and discipline. Appears as an area of contradictions, a correlation of forces and power struggles. However, is in this tense and contradictory area that Social Service is realized and concretized. For a better understanding of this institution, it is essential to grasp the reality, its limits and possibilities in the real movement of its historicity. Therefore, we dedicate part of this study to develop an institutional analysis. Beyond the referenced analysis, this study reconstructs the implementation of the Welfare System in the Brazilian Air Force, situate the work of Social Service in this socio-occupational space in a context of restructuring of production and appropriates the theoretical and methodological discussions about the ethical Political Project professional to examine the possibilities of realization of the fundamental principles of the Ethics Code of Social Workers within the institutional framework. This dissertation also uses a research made with 24 military and civilian social workers having as basis a self-administered form, from which was possible to get knowing the profile of the social workers of COMAER and the conditions under what its professional work takes place. We emphasize the role of the work of the Social Service in the Brazilian Air Force and affirm that it is possible to perform a critical job, consistent with the principles of the Professional Ethics Code and guided by the profession project in a military institution.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / O presente estudo aborda a Formação Acadêmica e Profissional em Serviço Social tomando como objeto o Corpo Docente das Faculdades Públicas de Serviço Social do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Tomamos como referência o projeto ético político do Serviço Social, especialmente, o projeto de formação da ABEPSS, parte e expressão do primeiro. Observamos que os docentes são sujeitos imprescindíveis no processo de formação dos graduandos e, ainda que não determinem o posicionamento e a direção social escolhidos pelos futuros profissionais, colaboram ou não para um processo de formação crítica que pode contribuir para que o futuro assistente social tenha o perfil profissional explicitado nas Diretrizes Curriculares da ABEPSS: profissional dotado de formação intelectual e cultural, generalista e crítica, competente em sua área de desempenho, com capacidade de inserção criativa e propositiva, no conjunto das relações sociais e no mercado de trabalho (ABEPSS, 2002). Partimos da hipótese de que a disputa por projetos distintos no interior do Serviço Social vem se dando no meio acadêmico de maneira velada no sentido de que tudo o que diz respeito ao Serviço Social pode se articular ao projeto ético-político, como se o mesmo não resultasse de um processo ligado à teoria crítica e de uma mudança ideopolítica no interior da categoria dos assistentes sociais. Consequentemente, a presença nos espaços da academia de tendências conservadoras e neoconservadoras, vem aprofundando o afastamento do debate/problematização de questões essenciais à profissão como, por exemplo, o cotidiano e o exercício profissional.
