No. of bitstreams: 1 Daniela Pupo Barbosa Bianchi.pdf: 3174413 bytes, checksum: 8a6adc765c98288926ec9b5434cd353a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-08-15 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / In clinical psychotherapy we observe the frequent presence of secrets. Many of these contents interfere directly or indirectly in the life and constitution of subjectivity of the patient. From the point of view of the Family Therapy approach, secrets are considered systemic phenomena, being part of relationships and forming dyads, triangles, alliances, divisions and disruptions. It is a common finding that family secrets involve facts, events or actions that are considered socially shameful and whose disclosure would have bad consequences for the family. In view of the above, this study aimed at contributing to the understanding of the role of secrets within a family system from a trans-generational perspective. The overall goal was to understand how the participant perceived and attributed meaning to the secrets in his life trajectory. The specific objectives were to analyze how the participant perceived and attributed meaning to the transmission of secrets through the generations as well as to analyze how the relationship between secrets and family myths was established. To achieve the proposed objectives, a qualitative research was developed based on an instrumental case study. The instruments employed were a semi-structured interview, the family play genogram and the sandplay. The results, analyzed from a systemic perspective, indicate that the participant understands that the secrets interfered directly in his life and in the construction of his identity. He realizes that the transmission of these contents, throughout the generations, took place by oral transmission of beliefs and values, as well as by the observation of behaviors and attitudes. As for the family myths, it was possible to infer that they were directly related to the family secrets in a feedback mechanism, by which these phenomena sustained and fed each other. In the life history of the participant, there is a central axis also revealed by this study, that is, the uprooting. The diaspora and the experience of expatriation - that have caused such uprooting - activated the familiar mythology that has prompted the phenomenon of the secret in the search of system protection / Nos atendimentos clínicos em psicoterapia podemos observar a presença frequente de segredos.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Christina Mello Amorim Costa.pdf: 959471 bytes, checksum: 50cb352ef6d9b8cc1219bbe76781e433 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-09-27 / This dissertation was elaborated with the intention of knowing lived experiences of the relatives along the elderly people, in relation to the dismissed care to them, in a intergenerational perspective, emphasizing the concept of invisible loyalties. The dissertation was executed from the systematic review of literature about the family and elderly people; we conducted a brief history of family in Brazil, including the legal questions. We treat the unfairness and violence suffered by the elderly in brazilian society, as well as the contributions of the family vital cycle theory, emphasizing the last phase, from a reflection about experiences of people with more than eighty years old. We discussed about the situation of family and professional caregivers, how they behave and their impacts inside the family nucleus. Inside the family psychological parameter, the invisible loyalties present a dynamic interaction among the elements which compose a family, through generations that, in coexistence, confers an adherence to the relation system. We count with the participation of four families, which their experiences enriched the comprehension and elucidation of the treatment given to the old people through one construction of genograms and interviews, that shows us the quality of the relationship between sons and elderly parents are the consequences of a whole history of past generations / Esta dissertação foi elaborada com o intuito de conhecer as experiências vividas dos familiares junto ao idoso, no que se refere aos cuidados dispensados a eles, numa perspectiva intergeracional, enfatizando o conceito de lealdades invisíveis.

Effek van vaderlike werkloosheid op die leefwêreld van die adolessent / Father's unemployment : its effect on adolescent development

Bouwer, Magdalena Alida 11 1900 (has links)
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of fathers unemployment on the adolescent's life world. In an attempt to understand the adolescent's life world, it was necessary to address the adolescent in totality. It has been shown how emotional trauma, such as the unexpected unemployment of the father, not only impairs the adolescent's physical-, cognitive-, affective-, social- and normative development but also has a negative influence on scholastic performance. The unemployment of a father has a particular influence on the relations within the family. The adolescent's life world, which is the Gestalt of all the relations that he or she formed, is also particularly influenced by the father's unemployment. The empirical research reveals that the adolescent who's father is unemployed is much more inclined to negative meaning, involvement and experience. Thus this adolescent is restraint on his way to self - actualisation and becomes receptive to therapeutic intervention. / Psychology of Education / M.Ed. (Psychology of Education)

Family supportive benefits and their effect on experienced work-family conflict

Maitlen, Alison Anna 01 January 2002 (has links)
The goal of this study was to provide a link between the family-supportive benefits offered by an employer, and the work-family conflict experienced by that organization's employees. In order for employee outcomes such as job satisfaction to remain high, the work-family conflict experienced by the employee needs to remain low. One way to possibly lower the amount of work-family conflict experienced is to offer family-supportive benefits.

Drug addiction as a problem-determined system : a case study

Prinsloo, Melanie 11 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to gain a better understanding of how a problem-determined system developed around a case of drug addiction within the context of a system of relatedness. The epistemological framework informing this qualitative study was constructivism. The six participants who took part in the study represent the most prominent role players in the particular context of living. The individual battling with drug addiction, his parents, older sister, maternal grandmother and maternal aunt were interviewed. The methods of data collection employed were semi-structured interviews, a family-chronological event chart, genograms, and an eco-map. The interviews were interpreted using the hermeneutic approach. The different themes that emerged from each participant’s story were integrated in relation to each other and with respect to the collaborative sources of data. The most dominant themes extracted within this study are the initial reactions to Andrew’s drug addiction, life changes experienced due to Andrew’s drug addiction, support, as well as the meanings attributed to Andrew’s drug addiction. Further research into problem-determined systems in different cultures is recommended. / Psychology / Thesis (M.A. (Clinical Psychology)) Psychology

Basson, Heidi 01 January 2002 (has links)
Text in Afrikaans / The adolescents touched by their parent's divorce often display certain behavioral problems, such as withdrawal, aggression, and deterioration in academic performance, total apathy and misconduct. These adolescents experience mixed feelings in their period of distress. When one gets behind the reasons for certain behavior, the adolescents usually confess that the parents' divorce affected them. Parents often do not think about the emotional implications their divorce has on their children. Authors differ about the age at which children are influenced the most by their parents getting divorced. This study confirms suspicions that although adolescents want to break ties with their parents, they still feel threatened when their parents split up. During serious conflict in the family, the divorce is sometimes perceived as positive. The study makes everybody involved with the adolescent aware of the emotional disruption and the influence a divorce could have on their daily functioning. / Educational Studies / M.
