A descentralização de recursos financeiros e a organização do trabalho pedagógico: o caso de Santo André / The decentralization of financial resources and organization of educational work: the case of Santo André

Silva, Adriana Zanini da 26 April 2013 (has links)
The entire educational process lived in Brazil so elitist and selective, arising from discontinuous policies, concomitant with low learning outcomes, encourages discussions about the importance of education and increased resources allocated to it to improve the quality of teaching. The redemocratization of the country brought with it the defense of decentralization to strengthen public policies, to meet local needs, for the inclusion of different actors in decision-making process and monitoring of policies and programs, to implement new forms of management and, primarily, to the autonomy of the federated entities and their institutions. For school, brought the possibility to organize your Political Project- Teaching with a view to their demands and with the participation of the whole school community. In this context, this research aims reflections on progress and impediments to funding of basic education in Brazil after the 1988 Federal Constitution, in particular, on decentralization of financial resources to elementary schools. It is intended to analyze the changes offered by the decentralization of financial resources in power relations and, consequently, in the organization of educational work cycles of Elementary School. The central hypothesis is that the decentralization of financial resources has stimulated new forms of school management and organization of educational work, which transformed relations of power, democratizing them. Information gathering was held in the municipal Santo André - São Paulo, primarily through the analysis of legal and administrative school documents, survey and analysis of the amount of decentralized resources and their uses and complemented with semi-structured interviews and questionnaires, characterizing this research as qualitative. Expected to provoke reflections on the importance of the decentralization of financial resources to implement new forms of management that have as a principle the participation of the entire school community, including the organization of educational work, thus contributing to the democratization of power relations and improvement of the educational policies of funding and school management.

Who’s the driver and who’s the passenger in the luxury industry? : a study of how internal factors influence a company’s marketing strategy

Gleerup, Caroline, Nordqvist, Linn January 2013 (has links)
Today, it is important for companies to deliver superior customer value in order to be successful on the market. There are two different ways of achieving this advantage; a company can either follow a market driven approach or a market driving approach. The difference between these two approaches is that a market driven company listens to the customers’ demand and create superior customer value of their needs. On the contrary, a market driving company reshapes the market and offer new superior needs to customers that will be seen as a need by them. Furthermore, there is a gap of the influence the internal factors have on the market driven and the market driving approach. Therefore, the aim of this study is to provide an insight of how the three internal factors, structure, financial resources and organization culture, influence the two approaches in the luxury industry. A survey was conducted in order to gather data from different companies worldwide. Both explanatory and exploratory research strategies were used when the collected data was analyzed. Explanatory research was used to test the hypothesis and explain the research question. Exploratory research was used to further understand how the internal factors influence a company’s marketing strategy.  The result of this dissertation indicates that the three internal factors were not significantly connected with market driven or market driving approach. However, it can still be argued that the internal factor structure somehow is correlated with the market driven approach. Furthermore, the findings of this dissertation can be interesting for people who seek to investigate in both the concept of market orientation and how the internal factors influence it.

FILIPOVÁ, Lenka January 2010 (has links)
One of the important types of organization establishing to ensure the activities in public interest are the organization supported by state finance, that wouldn´t be able to manage without the main source of finances provided by their founder. That type of non-profit making organization is what I have focused on in my graduation theses. I was evaluating the financing of the organization supported by state finance Správa a údržba silnic Jihočeského kraje. I closely put mind to the analysis of the organization´s earnings, what way were they used and if the organization excercised them in its main operation.

Examining how health and financial resources relates to stress

Tibbetts, Racquel Heath January 1900 (has links)
Doctor of Philosophy / Personal Financial Planning / Sonya Britt / Health and financial resources may be two of the most important resources when individuals experience stress. As one of the most commonly cited theories in the organizational behavior literature over the last 25 years (Halbeslegen, Paustian-Underdahl & Westman, 2014), the conservation of resources (COR) theory will be used in this dissertation to view how health and financial resources relate to general life and financial stress. The data were collected from a convenience sample. Participants consisted of men and women between the ages of 19 and 65, and were primarily White, female, and averaged less than two dependents. Annual household income averaged between $50,000 and $100,000. Variables for this study were operationalized using established measurements where available, with sound psychometric properties. In order to assess resources, a measure for resources was developed using a principal axis factor analysis from the conservation of resources evaluation (COR-E), which is a list of 74 items identified as valuable resources by the COR theory’s author (Hobfoll, 2001). The relationships among these resources along with demographic characteristics on general life stress and financial stress were examined through ordinary least squares regression analyses. Results indicate that health resources, along with being white, as compared to non-whites, make significant contributions to the variance in general life stress. Financial resources, success resources, being white, as compared to non-whites, and level of household income make significant contributions to the variance in financial stress. This study’s results should help individuals better assess the priority and protection they give to their resources. Employers will likely see savings by designing and implementing properly targeted employer sponsored programs that address resource growth and conservation to help to reduce stress, which should result in reductions to health care costs, fewer lost work days, and increase productivity. Financial planners, and therapists will find the results useful in improving their efforts toward working with individuals on understanding, prioritizing, and growing their resources as a way to reduce stress. Researchers and educators will use the results of this study to gain a deeper understanding of the use of the COR theory.

For Richer or For Poorer: How Financial Resources Affect Women’s Mate-Value

Fisher, Alexandra 04 January 2016 (has links)
Research on mate preferences suggests that men value physical attractiveness and youthfulness most in potential partners, whereas women value status and resources most in a potential partner (Buss, 1989). These differences in mate preferences have implications for the value men and women place on these characteristics (e.g. attractiveness and resources) in potential mates. A man’s attractiveness and financial resources both contribute positively to his mate-value, (Sprecher, 1989; Townsend & Levy, 1990). A woman’s attractiveness also contributes to her mate-value (Sprecher, 1989; Townsend & Levy, 1990), but the value of her resources is less clear. I expected that men’s evaluation of a woman’s financial resources would be dependent on her level of attractiveness. I hypothesized that a woman’s financial resources would add to her mate-value when she was highly attractive, but detract from her mate-value when she was typically attractive. In Study 1, a woman of varying attractiveness (typical vs. high) approached men on campus and delivered a speech that conveyed her future income (low vs. high). Men’s reported desire to join her focus group was used as measure of their impressions of her mate-value. Study 2 directly assesses participant’s romantic interest in targets of varying income (low vs. high) and attractiveness (typical vs. high) using a controlled laboratory method where both men and women evaluated a profile of a potential romantic partner. The results of both studies supported my hypotheses. This research provides insight into the complicated nature of a woman’s financial resources as part of her overall mate-value. / Graduate / 2019-06-30
