Hybridstreifenbarsche (HSB) sind wertvolle Speisefische, die als aussichtsreiche Objekte der Aquakultur weltweit im Fokus stehen. Eine breite Einführung der Fische in der deutschen Aquakultur bedarf aber einer von Importen unabhängigen Satzfischversorgung. Ziel des Projekts war es, HSB aus F1-Gebrauchshybriden zu vermehren. In mehreren Fällen gelang eine Bruterzeugung, ohne dass jedoch die Rahmenbedingungen fixiert werden konnten, die eine sichere und reproduzierbare Brutgewinnung ermöglichen würde. HSB werden sich deshalb nicht in großem Stil in der sächsischen Aquakultur etablieren. Von einer Gefährdung einheimischer Fischarten ist wegen der offensichtlich überwiegenden, wenn auch nicht vollständigen Sterilität der Hybriden nicht auszugehen.

A study of the feasibility on the application of Coast Radar System to the coastal and offshore fisheries management

Taiwan's surrounding waters rich in terrain, and a number of shares of the sea converge along the coastal waters of Taiwan created a rich fishing ground.However, due to excessive fishing efforts to longterm investment , But lack of proper management of fitness , so even though the number of vessels increased, but the overall fishery production continued to decrease. The management of fisheries resources requires the correct results as the scientific basis for resource assessment , before they can properly apply effective management to achieve goals , and resources conservation and use of a balance between fisheries. The correct resource assessment,you need detailed information on the basis of the catch,the most important time, space and other efforts to catch the amount of information is the most common practitioners of business operating statements made . Taiwan's coastal fisheries,as yet mandatory for the industry to report their operating statements provided management measures , so in the past this type of information is achieved through the visits, but the mission is not only the high cost of information , a small number and accuracy is not high also limited to the funding and cooperation from the fishermen often intermittent , resulting in a serious ack of resources and ssessmenta information. Taiwan Caost Guard Administrstion in order to monitor the waters around Taiwan ,the dynamic vessel offshore the coast of Taiwan are build Caost Radar Systems.These systems approach to proactive scanning , within 24 hours for the scan to monitor vessels and left navigation records including the vessel name , time location information of the vessel .These data separated by fishing information , speed of calculation,it is possible to estimate the fishing vessels fishing effort in the future with the sale of the ships coming into port unloading data information on fishing operations as an alternative complementary information on the shortcomings of the report did not work . The purpose of this study , that Caost Radar Systems in the use of bank information obtained , isolated fishing information , conduct analysis and calculation , and the actual data for verification visits to explore the application of Caost Radar Systems on shore along the coastal fisheries management feasibility . The results showed : Caost Radar Systems data from the isolated shore fishing vessels that the correct information to the operating position, and velocity analysis based on fishing operations , can estimate fishing effort,and calculate the frequency of operating out of position, draw fishing boats operating region .But the study also found the sea wave and blind area factor will be off the lock occur ,resulting in boat speed and position information a short time gaps , but this does not affect the overall assessment of fishery resoures, through projections to supplement the information in this section.

A Study on Fishery Resource Management in Taiwan: A Law Enforcement Aspect

Taiwan, surrounded by sea and rich in marine resources, is one of the most important fishery states in the world. Fishery activity, one of the ways for humans to obtain food, provides jobs and economic benefits for fishery personnel. Plentiful fishing resources given from the nature have been considered to be unlimited for a long time. However, with the spread of fishery knowledge and the promotion of techniques, unrestrained fishing and damaged fishery environment have caused exhausted crisis to fishing resources. It is finally recognized by humans that marine resources are not inexhaustible. Hence, humans should take necessary measures to conserve and manage fishing resources in order to utilize fishing resources sustainably. After the approval of UNCLOS in 1982, coastal states have the rights and bear the obligations to manage and utilize the fishing resources in the waters under their jurisdiction. UNCLOS itself is also the norm of management in maritime fishing resources. Owing to international responsibility, Taiwan not only signs agreements with other states and fishery organizations proactively, but also revises domestic fishery laws and regulations to implement the conventions. Taking necessary management measures is insufficient for the conservation of fishing resources that the maritime law enforcement needs to be strengthened. Consequently, illegal fishing activities can be clamped down and fishing resources can be conserved as well. Recently, the security of fishermen working in our sea area is under threat due to escalated fishing activities violating to the regulation, increased fishing boats from mainland China crossing the boundary, and disputes among neighboring countries on the overlap areas of EEZ. For growing emphasis on the conservation and management of fishery resources, this study will analyze the legal system of fishing resources conservation and inspect the situations of law enforcement by the fishery and coast guard authorities. Moreover, advanced steps will be discussed to provide suggestions to improve the law enforcement system and conserve maritime fishing resources under considerations of important fishery states¡¦ management and law enforcement measures.

Studies on the management and reformation of Taiwan inshore fishery

Abstract Taiwan is surrounded by the ocean with enriched marine eco-diversity and coastal terrains, making it a land of abundant fishery resources. Yet, after Taiwan was returned to ROC in 1945, the abuse of inshore fishery due to economical development resulted in overfishing. Under the development of industrialization, marine pollution and the use of destructive fishing gear have also caused a great damage to the ecological and biological diversities along the inshore to the drastic decrease in fisheries. Thus, how the government may find a balance between sustainability in fishery resources and economical development in local fishing communities is the major interest of this study. The present research conducts the work through the collection of annual fishing statistics and the questionnaire survey of local fishermen and government administrators. This study analyzes the changing trends of inshore fishery in Taiwan and investigates the effectiveness of current fishery regulations and the policy of fishing transformation along the inshore in Taiwan. The fisheries administration is currently adapting several fishery regulatory measures which include fishery licenses, replacement of boats and fishing vessels, and suspension of fishing activities / fishing moratorium for the management of fishery resources. Yet the fishery resources are still shrinking each year. It is obvious that those measures are ineffective on slowing down the speedy drop of fishery resources. The survey results showed that the effective administrative efforts should involve the regulation policy on fishing gears, fishing methods, fishing zones, and fishing seasons. A top-down fishery management system should be integrated with the bottom-up fishermen¡¦s autonomy, in order to establish a feasible coordination system between fishermen and the administration. In the long term, in addition to the management of some target fishes, it is important to integrate the fishery policy and management with the sustainable management of the living environment and ecosystem. These should include the assigning fishery preservation areas and the protection of the marine habitats to ensure biological diversity and to maintain the sustainable fishery resources. To reduce the fishing impact on fishery resources involving buy out the additional fishing boats, the government should actively help fishermen on their career reform. The government should also encourage the conversion of overcapacity fishing boats to the entertainment fishery. Yet through questionnaires and interviews, this study has found that most fishermen are reluctant to change their career owing to the lack of specialties and the high cost of boat remodeling. This study suggests that marine tourist vessels and whale-watching boats should be categorized as entertainment boats under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Communication. Yet, small fishing-entertainment boats are mainly for marine fishing, or watching traditional fishing / net caging operations, and tourist diving that all operate during the off-seasons. For this, the government should provide various fishing trainings, improve the harbor facilities for entertainment fishery, and cultivate all citizens¡¦ feelings of love for the ocean to promote the marine tour vacationing and the entertainment fishery. In the coastal 200 nautical miles exclusive fisheries zone, involving fishery habitat and reproduction ground, is the sovereign right control area of every coastal country. Thus, the government is entitled to decide the optimum fishery utilization independently as the basis of the fishery development for the food security, environment and resources conservation, and fishing community social stability. The present work concludes that government should plan and establish strategies for an effective management on the inshore fishery to ensure a sustainable fishery development.

Team, Leadership and the Performance of Ocean Fishing Vessel¡X A Case Study of N Corporate

In this study, we explored the antecedents, consequences, and boundaries of team effectiveness and organizational performance. Specifically, we examined the relationship between team leadership and team effectiveness, and the relationships between team and organizational performance. We collected data from 15 ocean vessel teams and four executive & middle-level managers. The results showed that both team climate and team leaderships had a positive effect on team effectiveness. In addition, team effectiveness was positively related to organizational performance.

Distribution of Organotin Compounds in the Fishing Ports of Pingtung County

Samples including surface sediments and seawaters were collected from eighteen ports of Pingtung County. The objective of this study were to understand sources of organotin pollution and to monitor the organotin pollution of these fishing ports by analying with gas chromatography-flame photometric detection (GC-FPD). ¡@The results showed that butyltins were the major components of organotin pollution of the fishing ports investigated. The concentrations of MBT, DBT, TBT and MPT in seawaters varied between 3.9~51.6 ng/L as tin, ND~15.2 ng/L as tin, ND~23.9 ng/L as tin and 2.1~7.2 ng/L as tin. The concentrations of MBT, DBT, TBT and MPT in surface sediments varied between 67~332 ng/g as tin, 17.6~325 ng/g as tin, 26~420 ng/g as tin and ND~43.7 ng/g as tin. ¡@The contents of organotin compounds were relevant to the number of fishing craft and the frequency of fishery activities. Distribution of organotin compounds between seawaters and surface sediments in these fishing ports were correlational. Phenyltin was detected only in a few ports, probably due to the sewage discharge from the nearby villages. The concentrations of organotin compounds observed in this study are lower than most of the reported values from foreign ports. In comparison with the previous studies in the same areas, organotin concentrations have dropped significantly. These observations are attributed to the effective control over the utilization of organotin compounds by the authorities.

On the Feasibility of Marine Recreational Fishing¡VA Case Study for Hsiao-Liu-Chiu Island

This study focuses on the feasibilities of Marine Recreational Fishing at Hsiao- Liu-Chiu Island by presenting its resource distribution and discussing the current fishing business conditions around the island. The current situations of local re- creational fishing businesses are evaluated by SWOT analysis. Tourists who visit the island are surveyed as research subject. Through questionnaires and field recreation activity investigation, this study demonstrates various possible development of re- creational fishing. The conceptual framework of this study is based on a non- marketing method - Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) - to analyze collected data. The method has estimated the economical value of Hsiao-Liu-Chiu Island for future recreation activities with the willingness-to-pay (WTP) among the visiting tourists. A proper managerial and administrative system is also suggested in order to bring optimal performance in terms of economical value and resource application for the island's fishermen and tourists. According to the data collected: 70% of tourists are willingly to participate sport fishing; 90% would like to try recreational cage. And under CVM estimation, the WTP for sport fishing is about NT$896 per person, and NT$738 per person for recreational cage. Considering the total annual tourist population visiting Hsiao-Liu- Chiu Island, sport fishing may generates about NT$93,000,000 economical value annually, and about NT$98,000,000 for recreational cage. At the end, this research also provide suggestions on related management strategies and directions for the fishermen, cage owners, and local fishery organization

The Study on the Strategy Taiwan Far Sea Tuna Industry used to respond to the International Quota Limit

Abstract It was on Nov 19th 2005 that the Japanese Fishery Delegation announced in the annual conference of International Commission For The Conservation of Atlantic Tuna (ICCAT) that Taiwanese Atlantic Tuna Fishing Vessel Fleet laundered the fish at the high sea, violating the regulations on the Conservation of Tuna. As a result, they completely amputated the quota of tuna fish sales to Japan (quota) and cancelled the status of member nation in ICCAT. Finally, Taiwanese Fishery Delegation remained the member nation status unchanged after our efforts to explain the tough situation facing Taiwanese Tuna Fishing industry to Japan, but the quota was greatly downsized to 4,600 Metric Tons. Such severe action of revenge not only resulted in the complete collapse of Taiwan¡¦s Tuna Fishing activities in the Atlantic Ocean but also exposed Taiwanese Far Sea Fishing management to the International Fishery nations¡¦ practical competition crisis. The development of Taiwan¡¦s Far Sea Tuna Fishing Industry has extended across Tri-ocean. Taiwan has the most Tuna Long Liners, and our catches have exceeded those from some other countries, ranking No.1 in the world. Therefore, it has undeniably had a great influence on the development of some other nations¡¦ fishing industry. Moreover, Taiwanese fishing business owners have taken every opportunistic ways to sell the fish out of the quota to Japan. We were able to survive by good luck in the transitional period of fishing development before the year of 2000. But Tri-ocean Tuna Conservation Commissions have greatly increased the awareness of concept of Tuna Conservation in recent days, so it was unavoidable that they will impose as certain of regulations on the catch. If both Taiwan¡¦s government and fishing business owner don¡¦t find a solution to this sticky problem, it is just a matter of time that Taiwanese Long Liners will be evicted from Tri-Ocean. This research was started in the development process of Taiwan¡¦s Far Sea Tuna Industry, introducing the Tuna Conservation organizations of Tri-Ocean, (ICCAT, WCPFC, IATTC, IOTC, CCSBT), and the profiles on nutrition facts of Tuna Fish, fishing method and Fishing cooperation. This research also further groped and analyzed how both Taiwanese Fishing Authority and Fishing business owners reacted to the sanction pressure facing Taiwan in Tri-Ocean regions. This research will be used as the reference for both Taiwan¡¦s far sea Tuna Business owners and its decision-makers in face of meeting the severe pressure created by international quota. A Study on the Regenerational Strategy of A Fishing Village : Cheting Township of Kaohsiung County in Taiwan as the Case

Taiwan is an island country which is surrounded by sea, and fishery is very important for both the welfare of people and the local economy. The development of fishing villages in Taiwan has a long history. However, the development of the fishing village in Taiwan has been declining because of recent economic recession, science and technology progress and the change of the public viewpoints. Cheting Township is no exception. The characteristics of fishing villages are different from each other. In this regard, this research investigates the present situation and background of Cheting Township thoroughly, and expect to offer appropriate suggestions for Cheting Township to have a new shift of future development. Traditionally, Cheting Township is famous for the catch of mullet roe. In the past, the local people enjoyed the business vary much. Nevertheless, the situation has been changing due to the environmental degradation and the decline of fishing resources. For instance, the public is not satisfied with the development at present and also are not optimistic about the future. These imply that this fishing county needs some changes for its future development. Therefore, this thesis tries to understand the development characteristics of Cheting Township and proposes relative developmental strategies. These strategies will combine the local characteristics and the operation of community renascence so that to develop marine tourism and recreational fishery as well as to improve the quality of the environment. Through referring to abroad experience, it hopes that the local fishermen can be well educated and actively participate in the fishing village development. In other words, the concept of community renascence will be included into the future regeneration of Cheting Township. Since the development of every village is different, this research has to understand the present situation of the fishing villages and then consider relative developmental solutions. Through local investigation and interviews, the research designs a questionnaire to examine the current situation and the relevant issues. The researcher also conducts an interview to check the viewpoints of the local government officials. After the analysis of these interviews and questionnaires, the thesis proposes the comprehensive developmental strategies and turther steps to integrate the planning and management of all related facilities which including the recent development idea of the ¡§love seaport¡¨ in Singda Harbor. In summary, the aim of this thsis is to develop the regeneration strategies of fishing villages in Cheting Township so that to reach the goal of sustainable development of fishing villages with the high quality of living environment.

Abstract Recently fishing industry in Taiwan is under hugely severe business environment. Due to distinctness of diplomatic situation, it is totally different competitive situation Taiwan is facing. Therefore, not only development of ultra-low-temp tuna fishing industry and managerial means and of international or regional incubate organization will be deeply described but also diamond model of Porter will be explored to analyze the competitive advantages of ultra-low-temp tuna fishing industry of Taiwan in the thesis. Definitely, the conclusion will used to develop practical plans for future severe situation. After well understanding literature about development of ultra-low-temp tuna fishing industry in Taiwan, I concluded the followings based on perspective of diamond model: 1. The first is that operations of Taiwan Tuna Association and cluster effects build the competitive advantages other countries are hard to get beyond. 2. Secondly, under relatively stable variation of tuna prices, the fishing boat owners are emphasizing on cost reduction in order to maintain business operations and get above average earnings.
