Le chemin vers les architectures futures des services mobiles : du Follow Me Cloud (FMC) au Follow Me edge Cloud (FMeC) / The Path towards Future Mobile Service Architectures : from Follow Me Cloud (FMC) to Follow Me edge Cloud (FMeC)

Aissioui, Abdelkader 22 December 2017 (has links)
This Ph.D. thesis aims to deal with the future delivery architectures of mobile cloud-based services, through network infrastructures evolving from Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) to Mobile Edge Computing (MEC). We mainly focused on Follow Me Cloud (FMC) concept as a new service delivery strategy for improved user experience and efficient resource utilization. That enables cloud-based services to follow their mobile users during their movement across access network technologies and by delivering the cloud-service via the optimal service point inside the cloud infrastructure. Several contributions are proposed in this thesis and evaluated in both theoretical analysis and scientific simulation.First, we proposed an alternative FMC architecture that allows: (i) to open the FMC design on non-3GPP mobile network access technologies (ii) to provide interoperability among different PMIPv6 domains permitting MNs inter-PMIPv6 domain roaming with seamless IP mobility and service session continuity (iii) to offer a tunnel-free architecture in MNs roaming situation, avoiding any additional overhead associated with tunneling in mobility management. This proposed scheme leverage SDN/OpenFlow technology and PMIPv6 mobility management protocol by integrating them within a framework permitting to realize the FMC vision.Second, to address the scalability and resiliency concerns in centralized SDN/OpenFlow control plane architecture, we introduced a new design of an elastic distributed SDN controller tailored for Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) and more notably for Follow Me Cloud (FMC) management systems. We illustrated how the new control plane scheme is distributed on two-level hierarchical architecture, a first level with a single global SDN controller and a second level with several local SDN controllers. Then, we presented the building blocks of our novel control plane framework, the system Key Performance Indicator (KPI) computation and set the key objective of our design aiming to keep the system KPI value within a predefined threshold window. Last, we proved how this goal is achieved by adapting the number of local SDN controllers and their locations in an elastic manner and deploying them as VNF instances on the cloud thanks to NFV technology.Third, we introduced FMeC concept, leveraging the intertwining of MEC and FMC architectures with the aim of sustaining requirements of the 5G automotive systems. We began by defining FMeC key concept elements permitting to provide FMC technology at the edge of mobile networks. Then, we presented an automated driving use case projection of our FMeC solution integrating automotive with Telco infrastructures towards the future 5G automotive vision. Focusing on the V2I/N communications types, we introduced our FMeC design architecture based on SDN/OpenFlow technologies and MEC infrastructure entities whose resources are pooled together to provide a federated edge clouds. Finally, we presented our mobility-aware framework for edge-cloud service placement based on a set of basic algorithms that permit achieving the automated driving QoS requirements in terms of ultra-short latency within 5G network.

Zhong, Ying Unknown Date (has links)
In the age of web 2.0, the concept of ‘the User Generated Content (UGC)’ is put forward. Now millions of images posted on the photo sharing service such as Instagram. We want to explore the following three questions: How is the style of hot images on the social media set up? How are memes on social media to maintain and change? Do memes have a specific image style? We performed the image-based method of data mining and content analysis to study the three research questions. We choose ‘follow me to’—the hot photos on Instagram— as an example for analysis. Though the comparative analysis of the ‘follow me to’ photos of photographer Murad Osmann and the imitators. The hot images on social media have characteristics: 1) They combine with social media platforms’ characteristics. 2) It’s easy to imitate photo’s composition and view. 3) Pay attention to model’s clothing and image narrative. 4) Have enough fund to take pictures around world. 5) Have arts beauty and skilled photography. The photos of imitators and photographer Murad Osmann have the same composition and contents. There also have some differences: 1) Richer in shooting scale and contents. 2) Not pay attention to image narrative. 3) Not have enough fund to take pictures around world. 4) Not have enough arts beauty and skilled photography. In conclusion, compare to hot photos, most of imitators’ don’t have their own characteristics. But some imitators have some characteristics.

Due to the variety of plataforms and operating systems, which exhibit different available resources and user interaction methods, applications need to be provided in different versions. As a result, users work with the same application on different devices, at different locations and at different times of the day. Facing these user's new possibilities, applications need support to allow users to easily switch from one device to another and resume their tasks at the same point where they stopped. This work introduces a middleware architecture that can be used by web applications to acquire the interaction session migration capability. Thus, web applications' interaction sessions, and their related data, can be migrated from one device to another in an automatic and seamless way. A middleware platform was designed and implemented in order to evaluate the proposed approach. Also, it is evaluated the effect of transfer mechanisms on the handoff process of the interaction session application.

Implementation of Video-based Person Tracking in a Drone System / Implementation av videobaserad personspårning i ett drönarsystem

Nordberg, Emil, Sjödahl, Lucas January 2021 (has links)
Technological instruments are used in sports to record and analyze data of performing athletes, in order to improve techniques and increase competitiveness. A method to allow for recording of data of a moving subject is by usage of a depth camera mounted on a drone that can track and follow a subject. The objective was to develop a drone system that was capable of autonomous operation based on follow-me mode. The original prototype lacked required hardware for reliable orientation in environments with varying air-pressure, and software for a follow-me mode-system. Height above ground was measured using a downward facing depth sensor and a 3D image of the subject was generated by a depth camera. The data was then used by the drone to navigate through the environment. Overall performance of the height adjustment would be sufficient to allow for autonomous operation according to test results. Testing of the follow-me mode showed that the current configuration was not capable of retaining a sufficiently consistent position relative to the subject, hence high video quality was not achieved. However, it gave a positive indication that autonomous operation based on a depth camera is possible. The concept has a high potential and if the system would be further developed it could allow athletes to record and analyze data in order to improve techniques and increase competitiveness.

The Spirituality of “Following Jesus” according to the Gospel of John: an investigation of "akoloutheo" and correlated motifs

Kim, Sean Seongik 04 1900 (has links)
The present thesis explores the Spirituality of following Jesus according to the Fourth Gospel by investigating the whole profile of the term akoloutheo. In particular, this thesis probes what theological implications are communicated by the association of akoloutheo with correlated motifs in the pericopes where it is employed in spiritual connotation. The texts investigated are: John 1:35-51; 8:12; 10:1-42; 12:26; 13:36-14:3; 21:1-19. Each text communicates the particular and manifold aspects of the Spirituality of following Jesus. Yet, the most distinctive aspects of the Johannine Spirituality of following Jesus imparted throughout almost all the research texts can be summarized by “directional” and “relational.” The life of following Jesus is a journey toward a destination to which Jesus leads his followers, that is, into a relationship with the Father by being with Jesus where he is, and by being with him where he goes and will be in glory. It is ultimately participating in the Son’s communion with the Father. Jesus, who was with the Father and in the bosom of the Father, came down (descended) to bring his followers to the Father, and ascends to the Father taking them with him, so they may be with him where he is with the Father in love and glory. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / D.Th.
