Volnočasové aktivity žáků v domově mládeže / Students free time activities at school hostel

Pichová, Markéta January 2021 (has links)
1 Abstract In my diploma thesis, I cover primarily the interests of students accommodated at school hostels. Not only interests in the accommodation facility are examined, but also in free time outside the school hostel. The research was carried out by a questionnaire survey and also by an interview with pupils. The aim of the work is to find out what interests are preferred by students at school hostels and outside it. Furthermore, there is the question of whether students agree with the schedule and responsibilities and whether students prefer individual spending time together over common. The work also addresses how the interests of pupils differ according to age and how the popularity of activities contrasts between men and women. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts (for example, adolescence, school hostel, interests, leisure). The practical part describes the outcomes of the research survey. These are shown in graphs and tables.

A mixed methods study to explore and describe free time experience and substance use amongst youth who have dropped out of school in cape town

Brink, Megan Lee January 2020 (has links)
Magister Scientiae (Occupational Therapy) - MSc(OT) / School dropout particularly amongst youth living in impoverished areas is a major concern in South Africa because of limited opportunities and resources. Therefore, these youth may experience leisure boredom, engage in sensation seeking and other risky behaviours, such as substance use, which influences their health and wellbeing. However, little research has explored youth who have dropped out of school with a specific focus on their free time experience and use of substances. Aim: The aim of the study was to explore and describe free time experience and substance use amongst youth who have dropped out of school in Cape Town. Methods: A sequential explanatory mixed methods study with two phases including quantitative (Phase one) and qualitative (Phase two) was conducted. In Phase one, data from an existing dataset was analysed. The data were from 970 youth who had dropped out of school in Cape Town who had completed the HealthWise Risk Behaviour Survey in 2016. Descriptive statistics regarding the use of free time and the prevalence of substance use were computed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. In Phase two, thirty-two participants were selected using convenience sampling who took part in one of four focus group discussions to explore in-depth the results computed in Phase one of the study. Steps were taken to enhance the validity, reliability and trustworthiness of the data.

Musikens betydelse : En intervjustudie med skapande musiker om deras yrkes- och fritidslyssning / The meaning and importance of music : An interview study with creative musicians about their professional and free time listening

Nyberg, Sonny January 2021 (has links)

Mezigenerační reprodukce životního stylu / Intergenerational Reproduction of Lifestyle

Bendová, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with differentiation of lifestyle and especially it focuses on intergenerational reproduction in the process of its creation. This process is pursued within the context of the social change which occurred in Czech society between 70's and 90's. Lifestyle is conceptualised as a differences in spending free time (as high culture, outdoor social-active, household/passive and watching TV). A significant variety of diverse factors, which can be described as psychological and economical, participates in this differentiation. The secondary data analysis of representative sample of people in their thirties in between years 1993 and 2008 is focused on effects of family socialisation. The results leads to the fact that the effect of same sphere of parents leisure time activities in a period of socialisation, is almost two times bigger that the effect of individual position of the adult offspring (expressed by his socioeconomic status, education and the fact that he himself raises a child) in the high culture sphere, almost 1,5 times bigger in the sphere of social activities and more that 7 times bigger in household/passive free time activities sphere. But all the mentioned factors combined explain only about one third of leisure time spend. From which we can deduce that two thirds of...

European Emerging Adults in the Context of Free Time and Leisure

Layland, Eric K. 10 July 2013 (has links) (PDF)
Research on emerging adulthood has increased over the past decade, including further investigation of the five features of emerging adulthood: (a) exploring identity, (b) instability, (c) focus on self, (d) feeling in-between, and (e) possibilities (Arnett, 2004). Despite an increased focus on this age period (i.e., 18 -- 29 year olds), research has not addressed the context of free time and leisure. Trends among European emerging adults include increased delay of marriage, decreased childbirth, and general postponement of adult markers. Both the high cultural valuation of leisure and the apparent change in patterns of external markers (i.e., sustained low fertility rates, delayed age of first marriage, declining national populations) in Europe, made Europe a prime setting for studying the leisure of emerging adults. This case study reviews the features of emerging adulthood in a leisure context across European cultures. Using data collected in interviews, the content analysis illustrates the prominence of identity exploration in emerging adults of Europe compared to the four other features of emerging adulthood in a leisure context. Further cultural discourse analysis highlights leisure as a resource for accessing opportunity and a space for freely making choices. The discourse analysis also includes the reconstruction of the cultural schema regarding leisure and each of the five features of emerging adulthood.

Volnočasové aktivity církví jako misijní metody / Church Free Time Activity as a Missionary Method

Máchová, Ema January 2011 (has links)
Church Free Time Activity as a Missionary Method Ema Máchová Diploma thesis are trying to find out a church free time activity overlap into missionary effort and it's form. The common grounds are based within the catholic church mission, history of education and modern approaches of free time pedagogy. Author search whether is possible to get over childern and young people for christian way of living throughout the free time activities. Salesians and The Seventh-day Adventists missionary effort range is appraised by interviews with particular church representatives and consecutive reflection. It's coming out from this groundwork, that this is not relevant within church free time activies in terms of mission persiding into baptism. Nevertheless such a church free time doing could have a missionary overleap through a leader of this free time activity. A missioner- pedagogue must be aware of his duty responsibility and not only during his role as a missioner-pedagogue, but in his whole life. Then we can speak about a mission arising from testimony of our own lifes.
