Geocaching, nedskräpning enligt svensk lag?

Wahlström, Johan January 2012 (has links)
Abstract Geocaching is a sport and hobby that is becoming more and more popular in Sweden. The number of users is steadily increasing and there are no signs of any downward trend. In Sweden the Right of Public Access (Allemansrätt) is giving everyone the right to move freely in the nature. The free movement means that activities and sports such as geocaching can be practiced in places far out into the woods and fields. The practice of geocaching has now become so extensive that there is a need for scientific studies. The need for more studies on the subject of geocaching is illustrated by the lack of publications, and that is also expressed in the few already existing papers. To avoid future conflicts, due to littering of our environment, in practicing geocaching, the study aims to investigate whether a geocache can be considered as littering or not. The study is based on an analysis of relevant case law in a litter context. In one case, the proposition for littering provision for minor littering provided the basis in the absence of relevant case law.   The study shows that there are several evaluations behind a litter assessment. It turned out that access and transparency to the littering was important and the location of it. Littering in sensitive and places worthy protection which also invites further littering is considered harder than usual. The final conclusion was that a geocache can not be counted as a criminal littering act. Each geocache is unique and legal position may change therefore the conclusion can not be applied indifferently in all situations and times.

Geocaching, learning, and nature in a location-aware sport

Burns, Patrick John 17 December 2013 (has links)
Geocaching, an outdoor recreation activity that uses mobile digital technology combined with online social networks to find outdoor hidden treasure, has gained a strong following of geocachers worldwide. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of geocachers as they described connections between themselves, fellow geocachers, informal learning, nature, and technology while engaged in the sport of geocaching. The descriptive phenomenology of Husserl and the methodology of Colaizzi provided the context and structure for this study. Geocachers while involved in geocaching activities participated in self-directed, informal, and incidental learning. Geocachers were motivated to participate in geocaching to experience nature, explore and discover, and to connect with other geocachers. The implications for this research will lead to a better understanding of how geocachers perceive their connections to learning, other geocachers, nature, and technology. Findings from this study are of interest to a range of educators, environmental communicators, and park and land managers.

Geocaching som läromedel : Att digitalisera lärandet av orienteringsförmåga / Geocaching as teaching aid : To digitize the learning of orientation ability

Tylebo, Anna January 2019 (has links)

Využitelnost geocachingu ve výuce zeměpisu na 2. stupni ZŠ (s praktickou ukázkou při výuce místního regionu Dačicko) / The usability of Geocaching in junior-high school geography classes (with a practical demonstration in a Dačicko region lesson)

DVOŘÁK, Jan January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the usability of the Geocaching activity in the tuition of junior-high school (JHS) geography. The main objective is to create suggestions for integrating Geocaching into the JHS geography lessons, with demonstrations within a Dačicko region lesson. Included in the thesis, there is an analysis of caches located in the surroundings of the city of Dačice and the usability of these caches for teaching. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the basic characterization of the region of interest and with the basic principles and rules of the Geocaching activity. As well, the possibilities of teaching curriculum dealing with the region by means of the Geocaching activity are mentioned. The resultant suggestions for teaching activities are processed into work sheets which can be completely integrated into the lesson and were tested by the author in practice at the JHS in Dačice.

Vliv geocachingu na cestovní ruch / The influence of geocaching on tourism

Zábranská, Vendula January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the influence of geocaching on tourism. First it briefly presents the principle of precise determination of position and coordinate systems, and then it describes the rules and principles of the game. It deals with the influence of geocaching on domestic tourism -- describing current situation, motivation of geocachers and functions of geocaching. It also analyzes the international influence of geocaching based on the comparison of visits of concrete caches by domestic and foreign geocachers. Then it also compares the numbers of caches in the Czech Republic which provide listing in foreign language and so these caches are foreigners friendly. Last chapter focuses on the analysis of several projects which use geocaching as a marketing instrument and tries to provide recommendations and identify mistakes which should be avoided in order to implement a successful project.

Geocaching v CHKO Moravský kras

Najtová, Simona January 2015 (has links)
Najtová, S.: The analysis of geocaching at PLA Moravian Karst. Diploma thesis. Brno, 2015. The thesis describes the geocaching as a tool and an additional tourism activity. The theoretical part defines the basic principles of the game, rules, types of geocaches, player equipment and from which views can be seen on geocaching. Theoretical part also includes history in the Czech Republic and abroad too. The research was carried out on the territory of the PLA Moravian Karst. The thesis analyzes the geocaching in the selected location and focuses for example on the development of "caches", attendance, login or the difficulty of the terrain or caches searching. We can not also forget that it is a protected landscape area, therefore, are examined negative impacts of geocaching on the environment. The gained knowledge can be used used to estimate the future development of geocaching in the Moravian Karst and also prevent negative impacts on the environment.
