Umělá inteligence pro počítačovou hru Children of the Galaxy / Artificial Intelligence for Children of the Galaxy Computer Game

Šmejkal, Pavel January 2018 (has links)
Even though artificial intelligence (AI) agents are now able to solve many classical games, in the field of computer strategy games, the AI opponents still leave much to be desired. In this work we tackle a problem of combat in strategy video games by adapting existing search approaches: Portfolio greedy search (PGS) and Monte-Carlo tree search (MCTS). We also introduce an improved version of MCTS called MCTS considering hit points (MCTS_HP). These methods are evaluated in context of a recently released 4X strategy game Children of the Galaxy. We implement a combat simulator for the game and a benchmarking framework where various AI approaches can be compared. We show that for small to medium combat MCTS methods are superior to PGS. In all scenarios MCTS_HP is equal or better than regular MCTS due to its better search guidance. In smaller scenarios MCTS_HP with only 100 millisecond time limit outperforms regular MCTS with 2 second time limit. By combining fast greedy search for large combats and more precise MCTS_HP for smaller scenarios a universal AI player can be created.

Lateralita v sociálním a lokomočním chování prasat domácích (Sus scrofa f. domestica) / Laterality in social and locomotory behaviour of domestic pigs (Sus scrofa f. domestica)

Kunclová, Kristýna January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out whether pigs exhibit laterality in social behavior, especially the laterality of rotational movements in game behavior and social interactions. We aimed also to explore how this laterality is influenced by other factors, especially the possibilities of playful behavior in ontogenesis, personality and others social and non-social factors. Alternatively, whether the degree of laterality determined varies depending on the social situation (game / aggression) and whether is influenced by the litter. I have investigated this behavior for 64 pigs in 16 litters from videotapes of their social behavior. For each pig, I recorded the playing element and the preferential side. For individual game elements I did not find any preference for rotation at the population level and only a slight tendency for individual laterality. For social game elements, I have shown a weak population tendency to prefer left side, but only for a group of more playing pigs. The main contribution of this work is the symmetry found in the implementation of individual game elements and, on the contrary, the observed laterality at the population level for social game behavior. Since the laterality of playful behavior has not yet been investigated, it is possible that this symmetry is...

Role sestry ve vonočasových a herních aktivitách dětí hospitalizovaných v malých nemocnicích. / Nurse's part in free time activities and games for children that are hospitalized at small hospitals.

HOLZÄPFELOVÁ, Bohumila January 2012 (has links)
The social development of last decades brings about rapid changes, affecting also medicine and nursing. It also contributed to a positive shift, so a hospitalization of a child does not necessarily mean breaking bonds with its parents, siblings, and the broader family. Yet, a nurse remains an irreplaceable link in the process of child's treatment. It is a nurse who spends most of the time with the child during a hospitalization. A nurse has therefore a great potential of influencing child's adaptation to the hospitalization either in a positive or a negative way. Regardless of health or illness, a child retains a need of play activities. A play is an important healing component, it improves emotional condition, facilitates an adaptation to a changed health situation and enables saturation for activities the disease makes difficult or impossible. This diploma thesis aimed to analyze how spare time and play activities are ensured in small hospitals, regarding personnel, time and material. The author also set the task of finding out what importance the nurses give to their own role in the educational process. The research was conducted in two ways. The qualitative part contains interviews with children of primary school age who answered questions about what they wanted and what children hospitalized in small hospitals generally miss. Hypotheses were subsequently formed according to results of this part. These hypotheses were then tested by a quantitative research. The research group for the quantitative research were nurses working in pediatric departments of hospitals in the regions of Plzen, Karlovy Vary and Central Bohemia. The research shows that many pediatric departments of small and medium-sized hospitals have to deal with nurses' time troubles and with an insufficient staffing in order to fill meaningfully and effectively the child patients' spare time. The results of this research will be used as a platform for improvement of hospitalized children's conditions in one particular department.

Pařížská a vídeňská kytarová škola a jej í přínos / Parisien and Viennese Guitar School and their Benefits

Moučková, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
As the title would suggest, the goal of my master thesis was to build the complete arch that would hold at the time of its brightest shine, at the times of Parisien and Viennese school. From my own opinion is this epoch of guitar, allocated by the end of classicism and the early romantism, in the universe of music, one of the most remarkable. This attractiveness is proven epecially thru the giutar literature of that time, that with its beauty, imaginativeness and permanent artistic recensy, is with no doubt the most significant. The first chapter is devided betwen the two subchapters. It pictures social-political and cultural situation of the turn of 18th and 19th century. In the first subchapter, I briefly capture the manners of changes of musical speech, predetermining then the speech of guitar composers of early romantism. Then in the second subchapter, I notice the most important genres and musical forms, preferred especially at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of 19th, from which our previously surveyed guitar schools were born. In second chapter I summarize the form of the early romantic guitar of the beginning of 19th century. I notice here the most significant names of master guitar builders and characteristics of their type of work. In following next two important chapters, 3rd and 4th, I talk about the most important modern guitar composers of Viennese and Parisien school of that time. Thru the short biographies and significant milestones of each personalities mentioned, I cite selected pieces for guitar, which by its meaning overcome typical expectations. The next subchapter then picks up the most influential contemporaries and followers who affect collaterally with both mentioned guitar schools, though not involved within them. The conclusion then in a few sentences points at the importance and unimaginable value of the guitar music of the first half of the 19th century, which has a worldwide merit revolutionary influence up to now.
