It is the goal of this program to identify these at-risk students, track their grades, and incorporate a tutorial program to motivate and build their self-esteem and ultimately, their academic performance. This program can succeed with the proper administrative support, teacher involvement and parent and community assistance.

Thesis (MPH.) -- University of Limpopo, 2016 / Background: Disabled children with different conditions such as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, developmental delays, severe orthopaedic impairment, hydro and micro-cephalous are brought to Elim Hospital for rehabilitation therapy. Most of these disabled children stay with caregivers who are responsible for their care including rehabilitation therapy at home to avoid complications. The aim of the study was to establish factors that contribute to development of complications in disabled children. Methods: The quantitative descriptive study design was used and convenience sampling method was used to select 52 caregivers out of the population of 60. Questionnaires and observation checklist were used for data collection at the rehabilitation therapy clinic during their rehabilitation therapy visit. Data were analysed using SPSS version 22. Results: The results show that there is no association between diagnosis and the development of complications. There was an association between availability of resources which is one of the caregiver factors and the development of complications. Conclusion: The study concludes that, availability of resources to provide the rehabilitation therapy on the disabled children is the contributing caregiver factors on the development of complications in disabled children at Elim Hospital.

The topic of this master thesis is the Design of sport wheelchair. The design brings new possibilities in shaping the seat thanks to use new material and manufacturing process. There are use special materials for padding too. The design of the extended rim also offers a new way of gripping wheels. Last but not least, the new design is more concerned with the aesthetic side of the product and works with a simpler and more airy frame. This master’s thesis deals with problems of the web applications with respect to accessibility. At first it describes accessibility of the web pages. There are mentioned main reasons and initiatives for making accessible web pages. The first chapter is also aims to handicapped users. The handicapped users are separated to groups according to their handicap and impacts on accessibility of the web pages. The second chapter presents methodics of the accessible website, Czech and foreign rules and lawful orders. The foreign (WCAG, Section 508) and the Czech (Blind Friendly Web and Pravidla pro tvorbu přístupného webu) representatives of the rules are introduced in the next part of this chapter. The idea of the accessible web application – electronic shop - is presented in the third chapter. There are subscribed the conception of electronic shop, advantages and disadvantages and main functions. In the next part of this chapter there are mentioned the primary rules of the writing the source code of the web pages which are used during the creating of the accessible web application of the electronic shop. Closely there are introduced scripting language PHP, database system MySQL and Cascading Styles Sheets (CSS). The part of the master’s thesis is a mentioned accessible web application of the electronic shop. The presentation is placed on http://www.xandy.cz/tmp/ and presents the accessible web system with the respect to accessibility. Creation and description of this web application is mentioned in the last fourth chapter.

Thesis describes worldwide operating systems for smart phones with focus on third party application development possibility. Also describes touch control and writing using the virtual keyboard of smartphones. The second part describes the analysis and projection of virtual keyboard with emphasis on ergonomic use for handicapped person. One solution is selected and programmed for operating system Android. Thesis contains complete procedure of application developing, starting with first request, through designing, programming and ending with debugging, testing and release application on Android Market.

This work deals with handicapped users' issues caused by limitations of their handicap and their ability of reading and text understanding. It reports on a summary of basic rules of accessible web pages' creation. It also introduces a solution with help of automatic transformation of inaccessible web pages to their accessible version.
