FILOZOFICKÉ ZDŮVODNĚNÍ LIDSKÉ DŮSTOJNOSTI / Philosophical justification of human diginity

NOVÁKOVÁ, Lucie January 2009 (has links)
Philosophical justification of human dignity In the 20th century the transformation into the information society took place. The development of information technologies has brought enormous freedom, on the other hand a decline of the institution of family has quickened rapidly, the character of mutual relations in the society has changed. Thus contemporary science interferes in human naturalness. In the field of medicine technologies which enable lengthening of human life have been developed; however, this evokes the question of dignity of life like this. Current conception of human dignity is also affected by a number of recent tragedies. Consequently a huge development of protection of human rights attempting to prevent such situations in the future has taken place. Respecting human dignity is the basis of the profession of health and social workers, who together with other groups and organisations help disabled people. The project of home artificial pulmonary ventilation (DUPV) is intended for severely handicapped citizens who are dependent on a respirator for the whole life. The aim of my work was mapping the attitudes of DUPV to their own dignity. The research was carried out by a qualitative method; the monitored group consisted of seven DUPV respondents who were chosen by random sampling and by "snow ball sampling". As a method of data collection used a biographic dialogue, followed by standardized asking of 20 questions concerning the determined research questions. Based on the results of individual dialogues the casuistries were formed, obtained data were summarised in charts and tables. Three research questiond were determined: 1.How severely handicapped people with DUPV perceive their dignity? 2.Which non-material factors support dignified life of DUPV patients? 3.Which material factors improve the quality life of DUPV patients? All these questions were answered by the research. We want to mediate the results of the work to professionals, especially to the Centre for DUPV in Brno. The respondents, too, will be sent the results of our research and information from thechapter dealing with social security as well as the contacts with helping organisations.

Kvalita života klientů v zařízení Sociální služby Česká v Jindřichově Hradci / The clients' quality of life in the Supportive Housing Centre in Jindřichův Hradec

KÜMMELOVÁ, Jana January 2010 (has links)
There exist various oinions in relation to the mentally handicapped people in the society. It is necessary to become aware of that the handicapped people have the same needs and rights as the others because everybody is an original and irreproducible personality. If we want to think about the quality of the life, we can speak about the lifequality of an individual person or of a groupe of persons or perhaps about the lifequality of mentally handicapped people. The theoretical part of the degree work deals with the lifequality in general characterizes mentally handicapped people, thei needs and rights. In the practical part, the subjective evaluation of the lifequality by the clients in the establishment Social services Česká is ascertained. The aim of the degree work was to find out how the medium {--} seriously mentally handicapped people perceive the lifequality and satisfaction in their life. The research was effectuated in the form of semi-structured discussion. Further necessary information was obtained on the basis of secondary analysis of documents and by means of observation. The main research question was answerd on the basis of inermediate questions. The first intermediate question described how the needs of the clients are satisfied in the establishment. It was apparent from the research that the clients perceive the satisfaction of their needs positively. Unfortunately, the need of love is not satisfied for the most respondents and that due to the unstable family background. Teh second reserch question was concentrated on ascertainment how the establishment influences the lifequality of the clients. It is evident from the research that the establishment influences the lifequality of respondents positively and that thanks to mobilizing activities and to the efforts enabling these people to live a normal life to the greatest possible extent. The third intermedite question investigated the impact of the family on the clients. Due to the fact that the most repomdents come to see the family environment only occasionally or not at all, the answer to this question is negative. The lifequality of a great deal of respondents is not influenced by the family positively. In spite of this unpleasant fact the main research question reading {\clq}qHow the clients of the estabishment Social services Česká in Jindřichův Hradec perceive the quality of their life`` can be answered positively. Although the clients of the establishment have to face disadvantages because of their handicap, they consider the quality of their life to be a good one.

Výchova ke zdraví a integrace žáků se zrakovým postižením na 1. stupni ZŠ prostřednictvím pohybových aktivit + rozvoj prostorové orientace / Health Education and integration of visually impaired pupils through physical activities and space orientation development at elementary

DRAHOZALOVÁ, Šárka January 2011 (has links)
In my thesis I dealt with the issue of health education and integration of visually disable pupils attending the first degree (1st - 5th grade) of primary schools through physical activities + development of spatial orientation. The theoretical part determines basic terms and definitions which are related to this issue. Practical part is focused on the project called "Week of Health" which positively influenced all the pupils. The learners were acquainted with yoga and with innovative kinestetic activities in which it was necessary to use mainly the auditory and haptic perception. During the whole week the education was focused on healthy nourishment and proper lifestyle of young learners.

A ênfase metodológica, deve assegurar aos acadêmicos, o preparo para atuarem com os PNEs na inclusão escolar, que ao nosso ver é o principal foco da disciplina / Abstract: Considering that Special Physical Education (SPE) is a relatively new discipline in the Physical Education graduation courses curriculum, there is a need for studies to identify if it has a theoretical or pedagogic leading connection, adequate to each area of formation (licentiate or bachelor degrees). As a result, the present study had the objective of showing how such subject has been employed in the public universities in the state of Paraná, in the Physical Education licentiate graduation courses, as well as, stimulating a Physical Education students position about this course of study and point out possible criterion to be observed for the elaboration and execution of that discipline in the Physical Education licentiate graduation courses. The study is characterized as descriptive where the technique of Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2004) was used. It had, as participants, 11 professors who work with the discipline in public higher education institutions in Paraná and their students, which totalized 463. For the data collection, a questionnaire was used for the Physical Education students and a semi-structured interview for the professors. The results showed that: Most of the professors (10) use the educational and medical models for their classes because they focus on the categories (medical classification) to talk about the types of deficiencies; All professors are favorable to the inclusion of the discipline SPE in the institution¿s curriculum, with some restrictions and demonstrated concerns about the capacitating of the academics, considering the individualities of the SPE Most of the students consider such discipline important for their academic formation, but point out some obscurity in the preparation for the school inclusion. They find necessary the realization of practical activities and internship related to SPE, along the year and also, see it as another professional option. We concluded that the SPE professor in the Licentiate Physical Education courses must give emphasis to the educational model highlighting and demonstrating to the scholars that SPE has lots of potential and that, to evidence its differences, difficulties and drawbacks is a mistake. The methodological emphasis must guarantee to the academics the preparation to actuate with the SPE in the curricular inclusion which is, in our point of view, the main focus of the discipline / Doutorado / Atividade Fisica, Adaptação e Saude / Doutor em Educação Física

His goal was to create conferences Charity aimed at material and spiritual assistance to the poor. In Goiás, the ideal found fertile soil, and since 1885 held a number of charities, its members visited the jail and the hospital must provide food, clothing and living several poor who crowded the streets, alleys and villages of the former Vila Boa. To optimize the work, the Vincentians founded asylum, built in hygienic and pleasant place on the outskirts of the city. With the intention to house the indigent, poor, destitute, disabled, abandoned and sick of all sorts, asylum soon became the embodiment of the ideal of charity planted by Ozanam, and showcase for its members. Under the direction of internal Dominican Sisters, asylum has become a sacred space. Over time, several people who did not fit the profile of the inmates, aspired to enter the institution, where those who would watch. Donation of houses, money and aid from the influential people were found loopholes to achieve this intention. Our goal is to understand what accounted for the asylum for the three groups directly involved with it, namely, the Vincentians, the Handicapped, and the Dominican Sisters.

Costa, Sandra Morais de Brito 13 September 2007 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-03-15T19:34:33Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Sandra Morais de Brito Costa.pdf: 1120616 bytes, checksum: 52fb28bfdcf1af7d8dad9fc7e28dec31 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-09-13 / One of the major challenges in social inclusion for the handicapped is the lack of integration of them in productive processes. There is still prejudice regarding their ability to contribute from a competitive perspective, perspective which rules in the business world. This results from the lack of understanding about the insertion possibilities of the physically challenged in an active production process, given the right opportunity to fully develop their potential. The main vehicle for disabled insertion in the professional world is the Constitution, which reserves a portion of employment positions and prohibits any type of discrimination in regards of salary and hiring criteria for the physically challenged. The law 8.213/91 indicates the percentage of work positions in relation to the number of employees per company, 7.853/89, with political policy aiming the the best interest of the physically challenged, altered by decree 70, of Decree 5.296/04 which regulates among others ways of access and work relation. In December, 13th, 2006 in a United Nations international human rights convention on the rights of disabled people, the eighth UN and first document in XXI century on international standard for disabled people's human rights was approved. It is a relevant instrument in the improvement of human rights, not only because it sees the specific needs of this group but, because, above all it reinvigorates human rights that are under the globalization threat in detriment of social rights once consolidated. In fact, we are facing a social context with uncountable variables, consequently, state actions must enforce the legal and constitutional principle. Therefore, this study has as an objective the search of coherence between legal action for work market insertion of the disabled and the institutional purposes for the implementation of social inclusion for the disabled. This also keeping in mind the rehabilitated beneficiary , who after acquiring the occupational disease or work related permanent injury (or not) have their labor capacity limited, putting them in a unfavorable situation at the work place, which many times motivates their dismissal after the stability period.

A função social das classes especiais para deficientes mentais numa perspectiva crítica de inclusão escolar / The social role of special classrooms for the mentally handicapped in a critical approach of inclusion at schools

Marceli Rodrigues 17 March 2006 (has links)
This qualitative paper investigates the role of special classrooms for mentally handicapped individuals in our society. We consider both social and historical aspects in a critical analysis based upon the process of inclusion at schools. This is frequently viewed as a means of ensuring equality between the mentally handicapped and non-mentally handicapped learners, being the special classrooms seen as barriers to it. The research based not only on issues such as ideology, marginal inclusion, forming concepts and destroying them, but also on opinions expressed by elementary public school instructors in the city of Osasco demonstrates that special classrooms for the mentally handicapped play a clear role in our society. Thus, its closure lacking thoughtful consciousness of such a role will produce other mechanisms. Classrooms for mentally handicapped people justify the exclusion; therefore, their role is clearly defined in our segmented society. The interviews with the teachers, who work in both special and regular classrooms, show their concepts of inclusion, special classrooms and of handicapped learners. There is a romantic feeling surrounding a certain inclusion speech in that to accept handicapped students depends exclusively on goodwill. It causes misconceptions on the factual meaning of the issue and possible changes. By studying authors showing critical approaches, the dissertation consisted of a try to understand how concepts such as normality and equality are formed in the society and consequently in schools in order to comprehend the origin of certain attitudes towards disabled students. Theoretical research associated with semistructured interviews with teachers has been an attempt to understand how certain standards were and are produced and reproduced in and by schools.

Caracterização do estado nutricional de indivíduos portadores de deficiência motora praticantes de atividade física / Nutritional status characterization of phisically active handicapped individuals

Sandra Maria Lima Ribeiro 08 October 2002 (has links)
OBJECTIVES: to characterize the nutricional status of active, handicapped individuals. METHODOLOGY: 68 individuals active, men, with spinal cord injury (SCI) (LM, n = 28), poliomelite sequels (L, n=32) or amputed ( n = 8). They had been evaluated by: food consumption (24h dietary recall and food frequency), anthropometry (weight, height, skinfolders and cicunferences), body composition from DEXA and bioelectrical impedance. About the biochemical parameters: serum fast glucose, serum lipids (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides), serum urea and creatinine, insulin, cortisol and IGF-1. The data had been submitted to the ANOVA and the significant contrasts to the Tuckey test, beyond the multivaried analysis for correlations values between the parameters. RESULTS: the groups had presented an energy consumption below of the normal predictions, what it can be explained by the muscle mass reduction. The distribution of the lipids ingestion was high, inversely to the carbohydrates consumption. The body mass index (BMI) revealed to be a good index of the body fat, the DEXA showed high correlation with the skinfolders and with the body fat predicictions. The total bone density presented normality, however, in the LM and the P the region of the legs pointed osteopenia and/or osteoporose. The biochemical data had been normal. CONCLUSIONS: the physical activity seems to have been a determinative factor for the normality found in the majority of the evaluated parameters, even so it has not been enough to keep the bone and muscle density in the paralyzed regions. The necessity of Nutricional Education was evident for these individuals. About the parameters of bone density, the analysis of the different regions is important .
