<p>Oda kao umjetnička forma, lijepo i uzvi&scaron;eno, razum i ma&scaron;ta, dinamički i<br />matematički uzvi&scaron;eno, uzvi&scaron;enost forme i uzvi&scaron;enost ideje, subjektivizacija uzvi&scaron;enosti, neki<br />su od ključnih pojmova kojima se bavi ovo istraživanje. Međutim, u &scaron;irem kontekstu, ono<br />obuhvata i pojmove individualnog i op&scaron;teg, vječnog i prolaznog, konačnog i beskonačnog,<br />ljudskog i mitskog, ljudskog i božanskog, čovjeka i prirode. Sva ta pitanja, naime, prožimaju<br />se u uzvi&scaron;enim okvirima ode, koja je svojim postojanjem obilježavala najsvjetlije tačke<br />pojedinih epoha i upisivala ih u veličanstvenu hroniku ljudske istorije. Ovaj rad predstavlja<br />osvrt na tu zlatnu hroniku u kojoj će, nadamo se, i na&scaron;a epoha upisati nekoliko stihova.</p> / <p>Ode as an artistic form, beautiful and sublime, reason and imagination,<br />dynamically and mathematically sublime, the sublimity of a form and the sublimity of an<br />idea, subjectivity of the sublime, are some of the key terms of this study. However, in<br />somewhat wider context, it also includes the individual and the universal, eternal and<br />temporal, finite and infinite, human and mythical, human and divine, man and nauture. All<br />these questions are intertwined in the sublime frame of an ode, which, by its own existence,<br />has marked the brightest spots of each epoch and written them in the magnificent chronicle of<br />human history. This work represents the retrospect of that golden chronicle in which our own<br />epoch will hopefully write a few lines.</p>

Investigating elements of the creative process in the work of three poets: James Wright, Gjertrud Schnackenberg, and Pegeen Kelly. Each poet deploys a different method for access to those experiences that lie at the edge of accessible language. Each method is discussed and its deployment illustrated. Wright leads us from the sensory world to the supersensual. Schnackenberg makes use of the formal device of the fairy tale. Kelly immerses in the logic of dreams. Drawing on Elaine Scarry's theory of the imagination, the case is made that the poetic act is a dialectic between the poet and the sensory world, in which perception and imagination are equally important.

Cette thèse s’intéresse à un changement de paradigme dans l’imaginaire de la filiation tel qu’il est donné dans la littérature des femmes et les écrits du féminisme. L’hypothèse de travail est la suivante : à l’imaginaire d’une filiation déployée uniquement dans la latéralité des liens sororaux, se substitue au tournant des années 1990 un imaginaire mélancolique de la filiation, corollaire de la posture d’héritière désormais occupées par les auteures et penseures contemporaines. Parallèlement au développement d’une troisième vague du féminisme contemporain, la France et le Québec des années 1990 ont en effet vu naître ce qui est qualifié depuis peu de « nouvelle génération d’écrivaines ». « Premières », à l’échelle de l’histoire de la littérature des femmes, « à bénéficier d’un riche héritage littéraire féminin » (Rye et Worton, 2002 : 5), les auteures appartenant à ces « nouvelles voix » s’avèrent en effet doublement héritières, à la fois d’une tradition littéraire au féminin et de la pensée féministe contemporaine. Alors que la génération des années 1970 et du début des années 1980, se réclamant en un sens des discours d’émancipation des Lumières (liberté, égalité, fraternité), refusait l’héritage des générations antérieures, imaginant une communauté construite dans la sororité et fondée sur le meurtre des figures parentales, la génération actuelle n’est plus, quant à elle, dans la rupture. Située dans l’appropriation du passé et de l’histoire, elle réinvestit l’axe vertical de la généalogie. Or, c’est dans un récit familial mortifère ou encore lacunaire, morcelé, troué par le secret, ruiné par le passage du temps, toujours en partie perdu, qu’avancent les auteures, tout en questionnant le généalogique. Celui-ci ne s’entend pas ici en tant que vecteur d’ordre ou principe d’ordonnancement hiérarchique, mais se pose plutôt comme un mouvement de dislocation critique, « dérouteur des légitimités lorsqu’il retrace l’histoire des refoulements, des exclusions et des taxinomies » (Noudelmann, 2004 : 14) sur lesquels s’est construite l’histoire familiale. En d’autres termes, l’interrogation filiale à l’œuvre chez cette génération héritière participe d’une recherche de l’altérité, voire de l’étrangement, également présente dans les écrits théoriques et critiques du féminisme de la troisième vague. Cette thèse, en s’étayant sur l’analyse des récits de femmes et des écrits féministes publiés depuis les années 1970 – moment qui coïncide avec l’émergence de ce qu’il est désormais convenu d’appeler le féminisme de la deuxième vague –, a ainsi pour objectif de cerner les modifications que connaît l’imaginaire de la filiation à travers ce changement de paradigme. À l’aune de cette analyse menée dans la première partie, « De la sororité aux liens f(am)iliaux. Imaginaires de la filiation et représentations du corps », il s’agit, dans les deux parties suivantes intitulées « Des fantômes et des anges. La filiation en régime spectrale » et « Filles et mères, filles (a)mères. La filiation en régime de deuil » et consacrées plus précisément à l’étude des récits sélectionnés, de dégager les modalités filiales explorées par les auteures depuis le tournant des années 1990. / This thesis studies a change of paradigm in the way women’s literature and feminist writings imagine filiation. The analysis is based on the hypothesis that at the turn of the 1990s, the imagination of a lateral filiation, which takes the form of a sorority, is replaced by a melancholic filiation, corollary to the heiress’ posture of contemporary writers and thinkers. Parallel to the development of the Third Wave feminism, France and Quebec of the 1990s observe the emergence of a new generation of women’s writers. « [F]irst », in regards to the history of women’s literature, « to benefit from a visibly rich female literary heritage » (Rye and Worton, 2002: 5), the authors belonging to these “new voices” are doubly heiresses: of this female literary tradition and of the contemporary feminist thought. While the generation of the 1970s and early 1980s, in a sense reclaiming the discourse of the Enlightenment (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity), refused all the legacy from the former generation and imagined itself as a sorority founded upon the murder of the parental figures, the “new” generation is not breaking with the past anymore. On the contrary, it seeks to appropriate this past as well as history. Therefore these authors identified with this new generation investigate the vertical axe of genealogy. However, the family plot they explore through a genealogical gesture is whether baleful, whether partial, parceled out by secrets or by the passing of time and always appears, in any case, to be already lost. Yet, genealogy is not to be understood here as a mere vector of order or hierarchy but is rather related to a critical movement of dislocation that aims to “divert legitimacies by retracing the repressions, exclusions and taxonomies” (Noudelmann, 2004: 14) upon which any familial history is constructed. In other words, this generation of heiresses explores inheritance and filiations as a way to encounter otherness, not to say the uncanny. A similar search is also at stake in the critical and theoretical writings of the Third Wave feminism. Based on the analysis of women’s writings and feminist thinking published since the decade of 1970s – that sees the Second Wave feminism growing bigger and more influent – this thesis’ main objective is to circumscribe how the imagination of filiations is modified throughout the change of paradigm. By the light of this analysis lead is the first part of the thesis entitled “De la sororité aux liens f(am)iliaux”, it becomes possible in the two others parts, “Des fantômes et des anges. La filiation en régime spectral” and “Filles et mères, filles (a)mères. La filiation en régime de deuil”, both dedicated to the reading of the selected writings, to identify new forms of kinship explored by women’s writers since the 1990s.

Différentes réalités et contextes actuels mondiaux font en sorte que de plus en plus de gens envisagent la migration comme projet de vie. La présente recherche s’intéresse à l’imaginaire migratoire comme facteur de mobilité, mais également comme facteur de modulation des réactions et du regard qu’entretiendra le migrant en rapport avec son vécu migratoire. Ainsi, la réflexion s’amorce en Afrique de l’Ouest, tandis que de jeunes Africains instruits et qualifiés élaborent un projet de migration volontaire vers le Canada, plus précisément dans la région du Québec. C’est investi de leur désir de l’Ailleurs, des représentations de l’Occident, de leur besoin de se réaliser et de l’impossibilité qu’ils rencontrent à accéder à la vie professionnelle souhaitée en Afrique qu’ils migrent vers le Canada. Quoiqu’ils soient dotés d’une détermination et d’un optimisme considérable, la rencontre entre l’imaginé et le quotidien de la vie au Québec comme immigrant et comme émigrant n’est pas toujours facile. Elle viendra révéler la profondeur du rêve, des mythes et des ambitions; les failles intérieures individuelles, les valeurs et les ambivalences de chacun, mais surtout la capacité qu’aura l’individu à revoir son imaginaire, à effectuer la réappropriation de son expérience migratoire et à élaborer de nouveaux projets. L’écart vécu par le sujet entre l’imaginé et le rencontré nous questionnera sur ce que véhiculent les messages et les images en circulation sur le Canada et l’Occident. Aussi, il témoignera de la prédominance de la préparation factuelle et psychologique de l’individu pour anticiper et mieux accueillir les réalités du parcours migratoire. / Different realities and contexts in today’s world are causing more and more people to consider migration as a life plan. This study is interested in their imagined migration as a mobility factor, but also as a modulation factor in the reactions and views of migrants in relation to their migration experience. Thus, this study begins in West Africa, where young educated and qualified Africans eagerly plan their migration to Canada, and Quebec in particular. Their migration to Canada is fuelled by a longing to go abroad, representations of the West, their quest for self-fulfillment and the impossibility of achieving their desired career plans in Africa. Although they are filled with a great deal of determination and optimism, the clash between what they imagined and the reality of daily life in Quebec as immigrants and emigrants is not always easy. This study will not only reveal the depth of their dreams, myths and ambitions, but their individual flaws, values and uncertainties, and above all, their ability to re-examine their imagined migration, reclaim the migration experience and make new plans. The difference between the imagined experience and the actual experience will lead us to question what conveys the messages and images that circulate about Canada and the West. Moreover, it will demonstrate the predominance of the factual and psychological preparation undertaken by individuals to anticipate and more readily accept the realities of the migration experience.

La figure des « pionniers » et des « pionnières » est devenue un référent culturel identitaire fondamental dans le développement de la mémoire collective québécoise. Nous montrons que ces objets culturels s’intègrent et participent à la représentation identitaire imaginée et conçue à l’intérieur d’un discours visant à affirmer une identité fondée en bonne partie sur l’histoire des Canadiens issus de l’immigration française du XVIIe siècle. La conjoncture politique du XIXe siècle favorise l’émergence d’un récit patriotique et d’un discours nationaliste conservateur, tissés par certains auteurs et appuyés par les élites politiques et les membres du clergé. Ces discours ont contribué à construire la nation canadienne et à l’inscrire dans un passé lointain et glorieux - dans l’imaginaire des « civilisations ». Dans cette perspective, l’objet culturel « pionnier » et l’objet culturel « filles du roi » sont mobilisés avec force dans la construction du passé magnifié de la nation canadienne. Nous nous intéresserons donc à la construction de l’image de ces deux figures pionnières dans les récits sur les origines nationales, ainsi qu’à leur utilisation dans le développement d’un sentiment identitaire canadien-français. / The “ pioneer ” figure has become a fundamental cultural identity referent in the development of Québec folk memory. We show that these cultural objects are integrated and take part in imagined identity representation, devised from within a discourse seeking to establish an identity based in large part on the history of Canadians descending from 17th century French immigrants. The political climate of the 19th century favoured the emergence of a patriotic account and a nationalistic conservative discourse, formulated by certain authors and approved by the political elites and clergymen. This discourse contributed to building the Canadian nation and inserting it in a distant and glorious past of “ imaginary civilizations ”. In this perspective, the construction of a magnified past of the Canadian nation relied heavily on the cultural objects “ pioneer ” and “ King’s Daughters ”. We explore these two pioneer figures’ changing image in accounts of national origins, and their use in developing a French Canadian sense of identity.

My installations are propositions for an imaginary world that relies on its own internal logic, a world of believability without recognition. While the work references landscape it also emphasizes its contrivance, as it is automatically estranged in an "unnatural" gallery setting. I subvert or de-familiarize the materials and processes that I use in the service of creating a fictitious environment. My places are impossible places. They are irregular, illogical, and unstable. Our imagination can be one of most dangerous things to psychological stability as it is an inventory of all things possible, no matter how irrational or improbable. The irrational is always an option, a lingering threat. The imagination seems to hate permissions and limitations, but is nevertheless lodged within them. I want to create a sense of nonsensical logic. If all things that can be imagined are logical possibilities, I want to find the place where fantasy seems to be just barely reality. If I can't have an inherent contradiction, I'll take an apparent one.

TITLE: Fostering of spatial imagination of students using three projections - different approaches in Czech and Danish Education SUMMARY: This master thesis is focused on description of different conception of teaching geometry in chosen czech and danish mathematics textbooks and on the possibilities of fostering the spatial imagination at elementary school. On example of one particular class from an elementary school in Prague, we will take an inside view of the advantages and disadvantages of using three projection in mathematics education and its influence on development of spatial imagination. In this class, a diagnostic interview was taken to determine the level of spatial imagination development and in order to find out, how these children can work with three projections. The diploma thesis is focused on the development of interpretation of violin playing at the advanced level at music schools. The aim of the thesis is to go through different periods of music development and to deepen the quality of means of reproduction and develop basic principles of interpretation in advanced students on the basis of several selected compositions. Another objective is to handle the practising process of each composition creatively. The work is oriented practically and may become useful for violin teachers and advanced students. The problems connected with violin playing are treated from the point of view of performance. The teaching process goes from imagination to realization where the technical skills are means for the realization of imagination and, simultaneously, the final performance is a great deal influenced by the player's technical skills. Also, the possibilities how to develop musical imagination and accomplish successful realization of the process mentioned above are discussed. The central themes of the thesis are the development of interpretation of violin playing and the problems connected with it, both theoretical and practical.
