A Case Study on the User Satisfaction in Knowledge Management System with MES Domain in Semiconductor Manufacturing EnvironmentWu, Kun-Ju 13 July 2007 (has links)
With the arrival of the knowledge economy, the management of all enterprises attempt to increase the efficiency of organizing with information management, drive innovation, bring up a new wave of information management. Grow up and circulate the increase of the demand fast with information in the management activity of knowledge, the storing, searching, circulating and sharing of knowledge must be dependent on information science and technology to help, even on the knowledge innovation, information science and technology can also offer the function of deducing, summing up and making up etc., so a lot of enterprises will create knowledge management system while promoting the management engineering of knowledge, regarding KMS as the core of enterprise's knowledge management activity, in order to promote benefit carried on in enterprise's knowledge management activity.
This research will regard staff of one international famous semiconductor company as case study, consider it with IS success model which announced by DeLone & McLean (2003) , and Wang Yu-Min (2003)" KMS success model " to try to set up and study the structure, take ' MES ' systematic field as an example, analyse its field demand situation, knowledge of administrative system, is it probe into with actual case relevant enterprise benefit and staff, knowledge of administrative system use to close of connecting with satisfaction to come, appraise from knowledge / information quality, system benefit, use, systematic quality and use satisfaction aspect systematically, and probe into the employee of enterprises to the analysis of using satisfaction of administrative system of knowledge.
The research approach adopted in this research is an investigation method of the questionnaire, to verifying according to theory and research hypothesis by using the multiple-regression-analysis. We can get the result from the data that all these major factors incluing knowledge/ information quality, valuation of KMS benefits, system quality, system use has positive effects on the KMS satisfaction.

Study on the Employee¡¦s Acceptance of the e-LearningCheng, Ruei-Er 09 June 2008 (has links)
Today, many enterprises set up their offices globally to go with the stream of time. Globalization makes it difficult for enterprises to provide their employees on-site trainings. By developing Web and information technology, e-Learning becomes a new training tool for the enterprises to reduce time and cost, and solve the training problems caused by difference of locations. The users¡¦ acceptance becomes one of the key factors for the enterprises in implementing e-Learning program. As the e-Learning is a kind of information service system, the system quality plays an important part in the employees¡¦ adoption of e-Learning. The well-known Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is generally used in evaluating users¡¦ acceptance in many studies. To set up an integrated model, this paper applies the TAM as a framework to study the acceptance of employees on e-Learning and further introduces perceived factors of a sound information system as the external variables to evaluate employees¡¦ acceptance.
Based on the experimental research on an e-Learning program of a large domestic company, this paper firstly indicates that, among the factors of a sound information system, only service quality and information quality have a significant influence on the employees¡¦ acceptance. Secondly, different education levels have a significant influence on the perceived service quality and information quality. This empirically integrated TAM would be useful for the researchers in developing e-Learning systems, as well as for the enterprises in implementing successful e-Learning systems.

Subjective perceptions of value : A qualitative case study using informal evaluation to measure the value of an Information SystemLoggert, Josefin, Åhlin, Mairon January 2015 (has links)
The debate on how to measure the value of IT is an ongoing debate within the IT evaluation research. Research about the value of IT tends to focus on formal aspects and ignore informal aspects such as the subjective perceptions of individuals and researchers acknowledge a lack of informal evaluation methods used in practice. This study aims to answer two research questions: How can informal value of IS be evaluated? and What are the benefits and drawbacks of relying on informal value when assessing IS? To answer these questions a qualitative case study have been conducted using the DeLone & McLean IS Success Model as a theoretical framework. The results show that using the model was successful however we argue that important aspects were missing in the model. The benefits of relying on informal value showed to be the possibilities of discovering aspects of value that are not visible in formal evaluation. The drawbacks of performing an informal evaluation are that they are complicated and time-consuming and do not promise useful results.

Consumer use of mobile banking (M-Banking) in Saudi Arabia: Towards an integrated modelBaabdullah, A.M., Alalwan, A.A., Rana, Nripendra P., Kizgin, Hatice, Patil, P. 08 August 2019 (has links)
Yes / Mobile banking is one of the most promising technologies that has emerged in recent years and could prove to have considerable value to both banks and customers. Thus, this study recognises the need to test the main factors that could predict the use of mobile banking as well as how using such a system could contribute to both customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The conceptual model of this study combines two models (i.e. UTAUT2 and the D&M IS Success Model). A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect the required data from convenience sampling of Saudi bank customers. The main factors – performance expectancy, price value, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habit, system quality and service quality – were found to have a significant impact on actual use behaviour. This study was cross-sectional, therefore future studies should implement longitudinal studies in order to re-collect the findings. Further, this study adopted convenience sampling of Saudi M-Banking users. This may adversely impact the issue of generalisability to the whole population. The gap in the M-Banking literature in Saudi Arabia would be bridged by proposing a comprehensive conceptual model that scrupulously clarifies the use of M-Banking from the perspective of Saudi users. Furthermore, this study would consider the adoption of numeric data in order to inferentially analyse them using SEM. This in turn would assist in generalising the findings to the whole Saudi population.

How can we improve our understanding of successful implementations in eHealth?Zarzour, M. H. D. January 2015 (has links)
This research studies the interaction between eHealth and implementation success. eHealth has become an important subject of discussion and evaluation for healthcare organisations over the last decade or so, and has also been the focus of national healthcare programs and plans. Billions of pounds are being spent on implementations of eHealth. Those implementations endeavour to cut costs, while at the same time, achieving enhanced efficiency and accuracy. Hence, understanding success in eHealth has become an attractive topic for research and a requirement in healthcare practice. This research aims to understand the definitions and factors of success in implementations of eHealth. In doing so, it examined the suitability of the Delone and McLean Information Systems (D&M IS) success model to explain eHealth success. A multistage research design was adopted. The first stage was composed of a thorough Systematic Literature Review that covered the origins and development of eHealth, the different themes in the research around eHealth, the concept of Critical Success Factors in IS, and the available frameworks for IS implementations, in general, and eHealth, in specific. As for the second stage, which constituted the core of this study, it was based on an exploratory, mixed-methods approach to research where a triangulation of research methods, data collection tools, and data sources was employed. As part of this approach, two case studies were conducted. Within the case studies, 20 semi-structured interviews were carried out; the outcomes of the interviews were analysed using framework analysis. In addition, a survey took place, and feedback from the survey respondents was analysed using different quantitative statistical methods. Finally, content analysis was relied on to examine all the relevant existing documentations. This research found that information systems success models, already in existence, can facilitate the understanding of implementation success in eHealth. The D&M IS success model, in particular, was chosen and applied. The results of the qualitative and quantitative research showed that the D&M model is suitable to explain and define success in eHealth. In addition to the constructs that define success in eHealth, such achievement is attributed to a number of factors. This research found that eHealth shares a number of success factors with other IS implementation frameworks. At the same time, eHealth success factors that emerged from the case study, like; clinical engagement, the role of eHealth leadership, and clinical champions are discussed. This research led to the exploration of new factors that require a better understanding, such as; the effects of a national eHealth policy, the role of critical champions, and innovative methods of eHealth training. Links between eHealth success definitions, and success factors were investigated, as part of this study. The results of this research revealed statistically significant links between the achievement of organisational goals and user satisfaction, and ultimately, with implementation success. This work has allowed for the development of a potential eHealth specific version of the D&M model as a provisional model to be confirmed with further research. It identified success factors that affect the implementations of eHealth. Some of the factors are eHealth specific, which can also be developed into a provisional model. In addition, this work has resulted in a number of recommendations for implementers and evaluators of eHealth in practice.

The role of system administrators in information systems successEdlund, Sara, Lövquist, Andreas January 2012 (has links)
Limited research has been conducted on how system administrators actually can affect information systems (IS) after they have been implemented; hence, this study examines how system administrators can affect IS success in an implemented IS. The study identified a system administrator´s affect on the three IS quality dimensions in the DeLone and McLean IS success model. The empirical findings was based on a single case study where the data was collected through interviews with the system administrator and the system assistants, but also through a questionnaire answered by the users of the IS. The empirical findings suggested that the system administrator can affect IS success through the IS quality dimensions both directly and indirectly. The system administrator´s affect on IS success proved to be highly dependent on the external system vendor and the structure of the internal support unit.

The information system’s impact on the user’s readiness for change : A study of DeLone and McLean IS success model’s impact on the user’s readiness for changeLeifland, Gustav, Selelyo, Sandor January 2019 (has links)
Information system is a crucial topic in today’s business world. Without a proper information system, it is very difficult to compete on the market. The purpose of the study was to analyze the impact an information system has on the users work and how those factors are assessing the users’ readiness to change to e.g. switch from an existing information system to a new more advanced one. The study was based on the DeLone and McLean IS success model and a single case study was conducted with an inductive research approach. The empirical data has been gathered through semi-structured interviews and the findings show that reliability, response time and IT service of the IS system are the factors with the most influence on the user’s perceived readiness to change. Moreover, the users are not ready to change the current information system that is running within the company for a more advanced one. Position, technical skills and top management are all impacting the user’s readiness to change. Organizationscan use these findings to analyze the users’ satisfaction, their behavior and readiness to face the future changes.

This study has addressed and focused on visualizing user problems and processing them through underlying theories about different system properties. The study is based on the current administration tool Everyware. The tool is today used by newspapers and media houses to build and maintain web magazines. An ongoing increase in digital news publishing contributes to competition in the newspaper and media industry. This in turn means that the industry wants to publish news as quickly and smoothly as possible, which has been a contributing factor to the purpose of the study. The purpose of the study has been to develop a new-minded interface proposal which, according to the users, should be experienced as easy to use, smooth and responsively. The theoretical framework for the study is based on the theory IS Success Model. With this theory, the study has investigated what success factors an information system, according to users, should provide. As a complement to the theory, the study has also used scientific areas such as user experience, usability and utility. Through different methods has eight potential users of the current tool been involved. The empirical material has been collected through individual semi structured interviews and a group interview. Based on the collected data, patterns have been developed for further development and adaption in the work process. A categorization based on different experiences regarding the use of the current tool took the study further towards the interface proposal. In order to create interface proposals, an analysis of the result that was obtained was required. A content analysis and an affinity diagram were created to determine primary requirements of users regarding a management tool properties. Based on the analysis, a proposal of a new interface for the Everyware administration tool could finally be made. The result of this study has shown that users of administration tools are dependent on that the tool are providing specific system, information and service characteristics. These characteristics can in turn lead to net benefits for users of the administration tool but also the newspaper industry and the readers.

電子採購影響評估因果模型之建構與驗證 / A causal model of e-procurement impact assessment: theoretical development and empirical application李洛維, Li, Luo Wei Unknown Date (has links)
eGovernment, as a popular government activity, has adopted by many countries in order to maximize the competitive advantage of nations. As eGovernment activity grows over time, the main issues of e-government change from e-infrastructure to e-service and to e-participation, and this change brings the concern about the impact of eGovernment. Therefore, the latest development of eGovernment is “eGovernance”.
Under the concepts of eGovernance, the focus of eGovernment evaluation should change form program evaluation to impact assessment. However, most of literature concerning eGovernance has focused on the supply side, which is the perspective of the government. Little has focused on the evaluation of actual use and its impact in e-government service.
This research reviews literatures and related reports, based on Heeks’ eGovernment Value Chain Model and DeLone and McLean’s Information System Success Model, proposes a causal model for the empirical examination of impacts of the e-Procurement System in Taiwan, this model is strongly supported by the empirical data. This research also makes some suggestions for the improvement of e-Procurement policy in Taiwan, and for futher researches.
