<p>I föreliggande rapport studeras de förändringar som vårt framtida boende i kunskapssamhället kan komma att genomgå. Studien är inriktad på vilka förändringar som följer i spåren av utvecklingen inom området informationsteknologi.</p><p>De problem som tas upp i rapporten behandlar de planer och visioner som framtidsforskare har beträffande informationsteknologi i bostaden. Dessa planer och visioner jämförs med bostadsbolagens planer. Rapporten undersöker även om det finns en beredskap avseende de krav på bostaden som förvärvsarbetare i kunskapssamhället lär ställa på bostaden i framtiden.</p><p>Resultatet visar att våra bostäder kan komma att vara föremål för datorisering inom en snar framtid. Resultatet visar även att de planer och visioner framtidsforskare för fram har god överensstämmelse med bostadsbolagens planer. Vad gäller utformning av bostaden visar resultatet att det finns en god beredskap vad gäller arkitektonisk förändring av bostaden.</p><p>I rapporten ges även en bild av hur boendet i kunskapssamhället kan komma att se ut.</p>

<p>Detta arbete behandlar utvecklingen av en komplett webbsida för Grenna Museum innehållande en administrerbar webbutik.</p><p>Implementationen är baserad på designoriginal från företaget Cargando. Baserat på denna design skapades grunden till webbsidan med hjälp av tekniker såsom XHTML och CSS. Därefter lades dynamiskt innehåll i text- såväl som bildformat till med hjälp av ASP.NET och språket C#. En databas skapades för att lagra textinnehåll såväl som produktinformation, båda vilka är möjliga att redigera i webbsidans administrationsgränssnitt.</p><p>Resultatet av arbetet är en fullt fungerande webbapplikation med avancerade möjligheter till produktadministration. Arbetet har visat att verktygen som .NET-ramverket erbjuder varit lämpliga att nyttja för applikationer av denna typ. Webbsidan är redo att lanseras och samarbetet mellan författaren och uppdragsgivaren har fungerat mycket väl.</p>

<p>Usability professionals seldom get a chance to actually do their job. Instead, they have to argue that usability is something important that should be attended to. This was the initial problem that motivated this thesis. In spite decenniums of evolution within HCI this problem is still highly relevant, and existing approaches to solve it yet have to prove their effectiveness. When approaches to integrate HCI into systems development have been discussed, there has seldom been a discussion about how a given approach may be more or less useful in different development contexts. Nor has there been much discussion about how HCI activities relates to the overall procurement-development process. One reason for this may be that existing approaches to HCI integration are suited primarily for product development and, to some extent, to in-house development. At least these contexts are most common in existing case studies.</p><p>In this thesis, I focus on the problem of HCI integration in contract development. This context poses particular challenges, mainly because two parties with different goals are involved – the procurer and the supplier. They regulate business relations and responsibilities via the contract. In both existing practice and in research the user-centred design (UCD) process has, at least implicitly, been assumed to belong to the supplier side. It is the suppliers, i.e. consultancy firms, that have employed usability professionals and that have tried to integrate HCI into their development processes. By taking a procurement perspective instead, I question this assumption.</p><p>I present three case studies that start with a survey of common problems in current procurement practice and end with trying out an approach to work with UCD in systems acquisition. While my interest initially concerned successful HCI integration, I also discuss how the suggested approach deals with several existing problems that procurers face. In particular, the approach links abstract business goals that any systems acquisition starts of with, to detailed systems requirements that it aims at defining. This facilitates for procurers to focus on the goals that the future system should help enable and linking these goals to the requirement specification that the contract is based on.</p>

<p>För att kunna leda och styra ett tillverkande företag krävs det att man mäter rätt saker för att skapa sig ett gediget beslutsunderlag. Vad som är rätt att mäta är dock ingen självklarhet. Många företag vet inte alltid varför de mäter just det de mäter och vissa mätningar görs av ren tradition. I vissa specifika situationer, till exempel vid en stor investering i exempelvis produktionen, är det intressant att mäta innan investeringen genomförs och sedan jämföra detta med tidpunkt efter att investeringen tagits i bruk för att identifiera förbättringar till följd av investeringen.</p><p>Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram övergripande faktorer och specifika mätetal som ett tillverkande företag bör följa upp beroende på vissa inre och yttre omständigheter kring företaget. Inre omständigheter syftar till olika tillverkningsegenskaper och produktegenskaper, och de yttre omständigheterna syftar till bland annat konkurrensfaktorer. Vi har utifrån detta skapat ett ramverk ur vilket man identifierar företagens inre och yttre omständigheter samt kopplar dessa till företagets mål vilket resulterar i specifika mätetal som passar just det aktuella företaget.</p><p>För att kunna ta fram ramverket har vi i examensarbetet genomfört litteraturstudier, förintervjuer med tre tillverkande företag och telefonintervjuer med cirka 30 tillverkande företag. Vi har studerat befintliga prestationsmätningsmodeller ur vilka vi har kunnat sammanställa viktiga mätetal indelade i strukturerade grupper. Med hjälp av litteraturstudien och förintervjuerna kunde en hypotes med förväntat resultat av telefonintervjuerna formuleras. Resultatet av telefonintervjuerna diskuterades sedan tillsammans med hypotesen vilket resulterade i tabeller med mätetal för de framtagna faktorerna vilka ramverket slutligen bygger på.</p>

<p>Nowadays, the need for sharing information between different systems in a secure manner is common, not only in the corporate world but also in the military world. This information often resides at different locations, creating a distributed system. In order to share information in a secure manner in a distributed system, credentials are often used to attain authorization.</p><p>This thesis examines how such a distributed system for sharing information can be realized, using the technology readily available today. Accounting to the results of this examination a basic system is implemented, after which the overall security of the system is evaluated. The thesis then presents possible extensions and improvements that can be done in future implementations.</p><p>The result shows that dynamic roles do not easily integrate with a single sign-on system. Combining the two technologies leads to several synchronization issues, where some are non-trivial to solve.</p>

<p>There is no debate over the importance of IT security. Equally important is the research on security assessment; methods for evaluating the security of IT systems. The Swedish Defense Research Agency has for the last couple of years been conducting research on the area of security assessment. To verify the correctness of these methods, tools are implemented.</p><p>This thesis presents the design and implementation of an environment to support and aid future implementations and evaluations of security assessment methods. The aim of this environment, known as the New Tool Environment, NTE, is to assist the developer by facilitating the more time consuming parts of the implementation. A large part of this thesis is devoted to the development of a database solution, which results in an object/relational data access layer.</p>

<p>Secure networks require each node to individually be as secure as possible. Transporting telecommunication data using IP based networks increases the need for security solutions due to increased exposure to threats. Ericsson currently provides a reference solution for carrying radio traffic over standardized Ethernet using IP, which in the current version relies on third party equipment. This equipment, and their recommended configuration, needs to be tested to ensure that the reference solution is as secure as possible.</p><p>The main purpose of this thesis is to provide Ericsson with a template that describes how security testing of the currently recommended equipment can be carried out.</p> / <p>För att ett nätverk skall vara säkert krävs att dess noder är invidivuellt säkrade. Transportering av telekommunikation över IP baserade nätverk ökar behovet av säkerhetslösningar då det ökar riskerna. Ericsson erbjuder idag en referenslösning för transport av telekommunikationstrafik över IP nätverk, som i dagsläget använder tredje-parts-utrustning. Denna utrustning och den konfiguration som rekommenderas i referenslösningen behöver säkerhetstestas för att säkerställa att den erbjudna lösningen håller en hög säkerhetsnivå.</p><p>Huvudsyftet med detta exjobb är att ta fram en praktisk metod som kan användas vid Ericsson för att säkerhetstesta den utrustning som i dagsläget rekommenderas i referenslösningen.</p>

<p>Problem drafting: Is it possible to give the customer larger foundation for decision making of contemplated product by presenting more extensive and personal filtered information regarding the product, with the help of a personal RFID-reader?</p><p>Methodology: In this bachelor thesis, we used constructive research to build the prototype in which we used a conceptual-analytic approach to gather the information to build it. Empirical studies were used for evaluation.</p><p>Results: Our conclusion shows that even though it is possible to</p><p>increase the basis on which the customers make decisions, through a RFID system, there are several issues that need to be addressed and taken into consideration before making it possible to implement such a system.</p>

Denna studie beskriver innebörden i begreppen användbarhet och Activity Theory, samt hur den senare kan användas för att stärka utvecklingen av användbara webbplatser. Studien är genomförd ur ett utvecklarperspektiv. Resultatet av studien visar att användbarhet är en egenskap som uppstår i användandet av en artefakt, detta pekar både teori och empiri på. Studien visar också att Activity Theory kan användas på flera sätt för att stärka utvecklingen av användbara webbplatser. Vi anser att de resultat vi kommit fram till i vår studie gäller inte bara för utveckling av webbplatser utan de gäller även utvecklingen av informationssystem och informationsteknologi i en vidare utsträckning.
