Internet in geschlossenen Haftanstalten des männlichen Erwachsenenvollzugs

Wieneke, Tanja 02 April 2019 (has links)
The Internet is considered as a matter of course and is often regarded as indispensable - except in the penal system. This article examines the question of which online services are available to adult male prisoners in closed prisons in Germany and how they are at hand. This is presented in a way that transcends the boundaries of the federal states. In order to be able to assess where Germany is positioned in the topic Internet and the penal system, an international comparison will follow. It turns out that some projects have already been established in the field of education, whereas leisure activities with the help of the World Wide Web are rather treated with restraint due to security concerns. In this regard, Germany could be inspired by other countries and their possible solutions.

The motivation of educators for introducing internet technology into education, with special reference to secondary school classrooms

Haupt, Natasja 01 1900 (has links)
The purpose of the research was to determine how educators could be motivated to implement internet technology in education. The literature study highlighted the need for e-learning while suggesting that educator support would not be achieved easily. The empirical study, however, revealed that at the international school examined, educators accept internet learning and demonstrate a willingness to introduce it into their pedagogy, were a blended approach to be adopted. Technological and psychological barriers had already been breached, as e-learning was taking place in a non-threatening environment. Educators were being empowered to experiment with e-learning in their subject areas. The study revealed that, having already embraced e-learning methodology educators would continue to do so if they could clearly perceive the benefits to be achieved. The study also showed that given a technologically nurturing environment, it would not be difficult to motivate educators to introduce internet technology into their pedagogy. / Educational Studies / M.Ed. Stochastic automata and supply chain agility in the time-limited supply industry.

Wallace, James, Tsoularis, A., Tassabehji, Rana January 2006 (has links)
No / This paper presents a stochastic automaton approach to stock ordering for retailers of time-limited goods, in the modern supply chain network. The rationale applied is that by ordering in small quantities frequently, overstocking will be reduced, capital liquidity improved and wastage limited. A consequence for the complete supply chain is that such an approach could substantially minimise the reactive bullwhip effect, leading to more efficient utilisation, production and agility throughout the chain. Such agility and flexibility can only be achieved by full integration of stock inventory monitoring technologies (such as RFID) with enterprise integration systems (such as ERP) connected to suppliers, mediated by the internet. We undertake a comparative simulation study of stock ordering using a stochastic automaton and a naive traditional approach. This shows that stochastic ordering, prompted by a stochastic automaton, exhibits characteristic properties that are a prerequisite for reducing the bullwhip effect, thus enabling agile inventory management.
