Lokalizační služby ve webových aplikacích / Localization Services for Web Applications

Kočan, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this master thesis was to develop an application that would visualize the position of sensors placed indoors. Since the sensors are located in the buildings, geographical maps are not used as basis, but the user has the option to upload his own background in the form of floor plans of rooms, floors, buildings,... For this purpose, application has tools for uploading, managing and editing such plans. The paper also describes how to use the application to monitor the current and past positions of these sensors. Support for these features is provided by several server components consisting of a REST server, WebSocket server, Upload servers and other services. Their design, description, and implementation is also part of this document. In addition, the work describes RTLS (Real-time locating system) technology, architecture, client application and data security.

Progressiv webbapplikation med bildigenkänning / Progressive web application with image recognition

Behrenfors, Louise, Norlén, Kevin January 2020 (has links)
More and more people in Sweden have access to both the Internet and smartphones to a greater extent than ever before. There is an application for almost everything, such as training-, games- and news applications. Based on this and the increasing interest for the environment in general and recycling, the goal was set for this project. A progressive web application with the use of image recognition with the help of machine learning that will make it easier for people to sort and recycle their household trash. The final result is an application that can be run equally on most devices (mobile, PC, tablets, etc.), regardless of model or operating system. The application is used to identify household waste through an image recognition service. This report addresses the technologies used to build the application and implementation process of it. Finally we discuss the results of the development and some selected people got to test the app and answer some questions and voice their opinions.

Meny layouter inom e-handelsbutiker / Menu layouts within e-commerce shops

Makhoul, Amanda January 2020 (has links)
There are multiple ways to build a menu within an e-commerce site. In the study performed by J. Hamblin, & Barbara S. Chaparro (2003) it was shown that the users prefered the Index menu over the corresponding horizontal and vertical menu layouts due to the fact that they could perform their tasks faster and easier on that menu. In this study different menus were tested within an e-commerce site to see whether or not this result still applies today. However, in addition, the usage of images within menus would be an addition to test to see whether or not images affect the results. However in this study, the different users are divided into three groups to differ their preference. Those with little, medium and a lot of experience with computers. The hypothesis was that the Index Image menu would be the most preferred and that images would decrease the amount of time it takes forusers to perform their tasks. The hypothesis was to be only partly right. Result shows that the horizontal menu containing images was mostly preferred by allgroups even though it was not the fastest menu among all of them to use showing that images did not necessarily lower the time it takes to perform tasks. The result also shows that the group with the least amount of computer experience also had a preference for the Image Index menu which does agree with the hypothesis, but however, this only applied to one group therefore the hypothesis can not be considered completely correct in that aspect. However, the experiment proves that there is a preference for images within these menus.

Janson Johansen, Joel January 2022 (has links)

Evaluating JavaScript Frameworks

Salomaa, Josefin January 2020 (has links)
Web application frameworks have become a common part of software development, with each programming language having its own specific frameworks. However, choosing the right framework can be a daunting task when there are so many frameworks on the market and factors to consider. Previous research has attempted to solve this problem by evaluating frameworks based on several different metrics. While the results offer a way to rank the frameworks, they do not tell us much about the actual process of evaluating a framework, or why certain metrics matter and in what situation. This project aimed to answer these questions by conducting a literature review to gather information about the existing evaluation methods and metrics. Based on these results, an evaluation criteria was developed to provide an overview of when to evaluate what. Furthermore, a user survey was done to measure the usability of three popular JavaScript frameworks. Lastly, a controlled experiment was conducted to test the performance of the three frameworks. The results show that different frameworks have different strengths and weaknesses as they received different scores from the methods. Moreover, the results show that when choosing a framework, one has to consider which factors matter most as it may not always be possible to find a framework that has it all.
