Ruské "nové drama" / Russian "New Drama"Magdová, Marcela January 2017 (has links)
The work focuses on the current Russian-language theatre writing, more precisely on its strongest and best-known fraction known as the “New Drama” movement. It questions the usage of the term itself as well as it outlines the historical development of Russian theatre, of drama of last twenty-five years and related events of the collapse of the Soviet Union and reflects the change of social paradigm.
It describes the emergence of the phenomenon of "New Drama". It presents the names, institutions, general tendencies and its typology. In the second part, it puts emphasis on the production of four selected authors of the movement: Olya Mukhina, Ivan Vyrypayeva, Mikhail Durnyenkov and Yaroslava Pulinovich, whose works are analysed in detail. The analysis of the work of the four chosen authors and the context of its creation confirms the initial thesis of the gradual convergence of the original subcultural phenomenon with the mainstream. In conclusion, the thesis attempts to name the circumstances that led to the change of the authors’ strategies and thus generally to the transformation of the mainstream subculture.

Monitorování radiační zátěže radiačních pracovníků na jaderné elektrárně Temelín / Monitoring of the occupational radiation exposure at Temelín nuclear power plantCUPALOVÁ, Klára January 2007 (has links)
This work deals with occupational professional exposures at Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. The introductory part is devoted to types of ionising radiation participating on radiation load of workers, values and units and to the essential legislation requests associated with individual monitoring. In the following part characteristics of methods used to measure individual doses of external exposures like film dosimetry, thermoluminescent do-simetry, radio-photoluminescent dosimetry and electronic dosimetry are described. For assessment of the committed effective dose from the internal exposures in vivo moni-toring or indirect measuring were used. The possibilities of the occupational dose optimisation were discussed Results of individual monitoring in 2005 and 2006 and layout of monitoring program are presented in this work. The new monitoring program is based on the active personal dosimeters (EPDs) rather than on the passive ones and covers the period of transformation between them. With respect to the passive dosimeters, EPDs offer some advantages which on one hand contribute to a better exposure control and on the other hand foster the development of a sound culture in radiation protection due to direct feedback of dose information.

Human Immune Response To Japanese Encephalitis Virus Guides Development Of Vaccines With Long Lasting ImmunityVenkatramana, D K 06 1900 (has links) (PDF)
Chapter 1: Role of JEV NS1 in protective immunity and in immunopathology. Previous studies from our laboratory revealed T cell immunodominance of non structural proteins NS3 and NS1 during natural JEV infections in humans where as the structural protein E, which is a good target for neutralizing antibody response is a poor inducer of T cells. Flavivirus NS1 is also known to induce humoral immune response. Several studies in different flaviviruses have indicated a role for NS1-specific immune responses in protection against flaviviruses. Paradoxically, studies also pointed to the contribution of NS1 in pathology and immune modulation. We screened serum samples from 72 convalescent JE patients for the presence of anti-NS1 antibodies by ELISA and radioimmunoprecipitation and found NS1 reactivity in 45 samples. These antibodies to NS1 are capable of inducing complement mediated cytolysis of cells expressing NS1 on the surface. Additionally, we demonstrated twenty two fold reduction in the infectious virus produced at 48h in SW-13 cells in the presence of human complement and NS1 antiserum compared to control serum, suggesting that complement mediated cytolytic activity of anti NS1 antibody helps the host in controlling the virus propagation.
Chapter 2: Comparison of immune responses to JEV structural proteins Capsid and Envelope in human volunteers vaccinated with inactivated JE vaccine and naturally exposed to live JEV. We compared the CMI responses to structural proteins E and C in human volunteers vaccinated with commercially available killed JE vaccine and in humans naturally exposed to live JEV. The results revealed that structural proteins E and C are inherently poor inducers of T cells even in killed vaccine preparation, where there is no competition from immunodominant non structural proteins. Therefore inclusion of nonstructural proteins NS1 and NS3 along with neutralizing antibody inducing envelope should improve memory and efficacy of a JE vaccine.
Chapter 3: Construction and testing in the mouse model of experimental recombinant poxvirus vaccines expressing prM, E, NS1, and NS3 of JEV. Guided by the information on immune responses to JEV in the JE endemic human cohort and volunteers vaccinated with killed JE vaccine, we designed experimental vaccines as recombinant vaccinia viruses expressing NS1, NS3, prM, and E proteins of JEV (vNS1NS3prME) or NS1, NS3, prM, and C-terminally truncated E (vNS1NS3prMΔE) and studied the immune responses elicited by these vaccines in mice. Our data showed that a recombinant vaccinia virus expressing prM, ΔE, NS1, and NS3 of JEV is superior to killed JE vaccine in eliciting long lived neutralizing antibodies as well as NS1 and NS3-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) in addition to NS1-specific cytolytic antibodies, resulting in long lasting and enhanced protection from lethal JEV infection in mice. Our results thus identified all B and T cell antigens whose inclusion in a live-vectored vaccine would provide a vaccine with far superior efficacy over the inactivated JE vaccine.

The inter-war period began at the end of the First World War and was part of a desire
for change, lasting peace and a new international order. However, the reality of a return to
peace is complicated by the scale of the conflict. The public space is transformed: monuments
to the dead, destruction, widows and orphans. There is also a reflection on the sustainability of
Western civilization: its limits, its models and its dangers.
This paper examines the vision of an artist, Hermann-Paul, in order to know
contemporary representations of inter-war France and the models of Western civilization. The
study focuses here on Hermann-Paul’s work in the press, particularly in the weekly magazine
Je suis partout, which offers the advantage of being able to follow the artist every week over a
decade from December 1930 to February 1940.
Several questions guide this research. What is Hermann-Paul's France? Why does it
seem to be in crisis and what are the models and counter-models? Peace activists, who defend
the idea of a lasting peace, are major actors of the period. Through their desire for change,
they also participate in this civilizational anguish. How does the caricaturist integrate them
into his French vision?
The paper also focuses on the instrumentalization of gender, and subset that is
masculinity. There is still a lack of Francophone studies in this area. The objective of this
study is to participate in the historical analysis of the field of virility, with the case of
Hermann-Paul. The caricature is an opportunity since this format instrumentalizes the codes of
drawing and virility in order to construct, justify and divert representations.

Pojetí sebepoznání v díle Jiddu Krishnamurtiho / Conception of Self-knowledge in work of Jiddu KrishnamurtiČihák, Matěj January 2020 (has links)
This Master thesis analyzes the conception of self-knowledge in work of Jiddu Krishnamurti. Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986) was a spiritual teacher and writer, born in India and lived in USA. The goal of the thesis is to show Krishnamurti's conception of self-knowledge from its own. In thesis there are quotations from Krishnamurti's works and also from works of others related authors from ranks of philosophy, science or literature. The first part of thesis shows Krishnamurti's life and his work in general. The second part analyzes a topic of self-knowledge in work of Krishnamurti. First of all, the thesis tries to introduce the way in which Krishnamurti understands a self-knowledge and its potential. In the second place, it tries to incorporate Krishnamurti's work into context of whole human searchng with intention to find a dialog between science and spirituality and between East and West.
