City Mobility Model with Google Earth Visualization

Andersson, Henrik, Oreland, Peter January 2007 (has links)
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are flexible, self configuring networks that do not need a fixed infrastructure. When these nets are simulated, mobility models can be used to specify node movements. The work in this thesis focuses on designing an extension of the random trip mobility model on a city section from EPFL (Swiss federal institute of technology). Road data is extracted from the census TIGER database, displayed in Google Earth and used as input for the model. This model produces output that can be used in the open source network simulator ns-2. We created utilities that take output from a database of US counties, the TIGER database, and convert it to KML. KML is an XML based format used by Google Earth to store geographical data, so that it can be viewed in Google Earth. This data will then be used as input to the modified mobility model and finally run through the ns-2 simulator. We present some NAM traces, a network animator that will show node movements over time. We managed to complete most of the goals we set out, apart from being able to modify node positions in Google Earth. This was skipped because the model we modified had an initialization phase that made node positions random regardless of initial position. We were also asked to add the ability to set stationary nodes in Google Earth; this was not added due to time constraints.

Aplikace pro geotagging fotografií / Photography Geotagging Application

Kodeš, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
This master thesis describes development of Photography Geotagging Application from an introduction to the issues, through the analysis and design to the resulting implementation. The reader should be able understand to issues of time in geotagging using the GPS tracks records. He will also understand where and how metadata are stored. The big part of thesis is dedicated to the implementation of application which leads the reader through building the application architecture, the photography representation and loading their metadata with program ExifTool. Gradually will be explained the convertors of coordinates and GPS track parsers, which are used to synchronization. The final application allows the user synchronize photography with GPS track and display them on the map.

Aplikace pro inteligentní logování polohy z GPS pro zařízení s OS Android / Application for smart logging of the GPS position for Android OS device

Šťastný, Petr January 2016 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is create standalone service whitch should look for location, save history of locations and send actual location of user using Android OS device. Location should be send on-line. Saving is made by KML file witch this aplication generates.

Karttillämpningar för rikstäckande accessnät / Map applications för nationwide access net

Camling, Johan, Lönnegren, Fredrik January 2013 (has links)
This thesis describes the process of analyzing and evaluating geographic services, and the development of map applications for nationwide networks. The project was performed at DGC, a datacommunications-, telephony- and networks operator which distributes customer access across Sweden where consumers are connected to the backbone network. In whole, the task consisted of an analysis regarding the possibilities of address-to-coordinate lookup for established customer sites, displaying the access network in a map interface and developing one or more tools, aimed at supporting order processes. Architecture patterns, use-cases construed from user requests and analysis of external provider services for geocoding determined the design of the solution. Software was partially integrated in existing systems, and partially distributed as stand-alone applications. The product was finalized with a release. Read further to get a description of the monitoring tool, network mapping with KML, dealing with geographic data, and also the process of fetching coordinates for addresses.

Cyklistický/běžecký tréninkový deník využívající GPS data / Cycling/Running Training Diary Using GPS Data

Skalický, Martin January 2011 (has links)
This master's thesis practical goal is to create an application with usefull graphical users interface, which allows to import training data from GPS device. Also it will generate graphical and statistical outputs of achived results with export option to HTML and tabular processors format. Theoretical part of this thesis presents introduction to creating of a training diary, short description of GPS system function, as next it describes GPS data storage formats and application design.
