Ekonomická analýza diskriminace žen na trzích práce / Economic analysis of labour market disrimination

Brčák, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this academic paper is to analyse the possible presence of discrimination against women in the job market. The analysis attempts to endogenous the discrimation section within the model. That is the essential difference in regard to other papers on this topic as these ascribe the influence of discrimination to the unexplained gender wage gap. The basic thought of this model is the idea, that if dicrimination against women is present in the job market, then it must exhibit the signs of a normal good. An examined characterisitc is the correlation of the wage gap, taken as a good, and extra variables as pensions. Investigation of possible correlation is done according to the linear regression analysis. The regression results are not satisfactory over long time periods as there are many variables that affect the outcome that the model does not consider. More precise results were achieved by means of testing individual workplaces, where especially the regression conducted with available data from analytic management occupations suggests that discrimination against women may be present

Sweden is one of the Nordic countries of Scandinavian peninsula in the Northern Europe with the population less than population of the Czech Republic. After the 2nd World War, it has become a model economy that has chose its own "third way" among capitalism and socialism. The aim of this thesis is throught the regression analysis find out if, between the years 2008 -- 2010, the long -- term unemployment was lower in Sweden in comparison with the Czech Republic and then, I estimate the regression model in which I try to quantify the positive or negative influence of chosen macroeconomic indicators of the Swedish labour market at the long-term unemployment between the years 2004 - 2013. From the outcomes of comparative analysis, the regression analysis and questionnaire, I am going to outline the possible directions of swedish experience from the Swedish labour market which could be transmissible to the Czech Republic.

Analýza dopadů poskytnutí investiční pobídky společnosti XYZ na trhu práce / Analysis of the impact of investment incentive at labour market at example of company XYZ, s.r.o.

Vokálová, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to verify whether investment incentives are causing expected effect at job market of Czech Republic. The analysis is performed on the basis of data from the agency CzechInvest, the Czech Statistical Office, General Finance Directorate and Public register and Collection of documents. The analysis of approved investment projects showed that 99 % of companies were interested in the tax credit, 36 % of companies were interested in donation for training and retraining, 33 % of companies were interested in for creation of new jobs and in other variants of incentives firms were interested less than in 5 %. From comparison of estimated cumulative amount of the tax credit from investment projects with real tax relief based from tax returns was calculated that for the period 1999 - 2012 has been utilized only 26 % of cumulative expected tax deductions. Difficulties associated with the using of the tax credit are examined in the analysis of financial statements, where was analyzed company XYZ Ltd. and 11 other companies which were supported by investment incentives. The conclusion based at financial statement analysis explains that 45 % of analyzed companies had to face complications with using of investment incentives, which were mainly due to loss of income. Following the high interest of companies in a tax credit there is criticized the current definition of the law, where there is insufficient connection between amount of tax credit and creation of new jobs.
