A Gender Perspective on the Possession of Power in J.M Coetzee's Disgrace : David and Petrus' usage of women / Maktförhållanden utifrån ett könsperspektiv i J.M Coetzee’s Disgrace : David och Petrus utnyttjande av kvinnor

Pettersson, Linda January 2014 (has links)
This essay deals with sexual power abuse in J.M Coetzee’s Disgrace. The essay focuses on the two characters David and Petrus and their way of acting. The question asked is simply: how do these two men use women to gain their power? And how do they deal with women? The result can be summarized in the following way: at the beginning the male characters tear women apart till they become totally insecure and thus they can control them completely. Petrus remains this way but as time goes by, David’s thoughts of women gradually changes. The essay also focuses on how David and Petrus shift in power. David, who started out as strong, becomes weak, and Petrus develops in the opposite direction and I am going to argue that this is a result of their relations to women. The essay uses a gender perspective and it can be considered a guide to the sexual abuse in Disgrace.

The regularization of urban real estate through the legitimation of ouvership for affordable housing

Fabianne Manhães Maciel 15 March 2012 (has links)
The role of the state throughout the history was very diverse, sometimes with an intervening trend, and sometimes with a will to regulate the minimum necessary. The latter approach, fedback huge deficits in the infrastructure sector, social imbalances, slums, subdivisions and non realization of housing rights. Thus, the state needed to expand its participation in the settlement of the soil to a full regularization since that would include the installation of urbanization and infrastructure appropriate to the granting of property papers recognizing the possession and / or the individual property. Addressing the lack of infrastructure, urbanization and organization of the soil that have accumulated in recent decades, is barred by the failure of the Brazilian tax, which must take upon itself the responsibility of the settlement, but mainly to seek partnerships with the private sector. The role of social organizations of civil society organizations in the public interest and public-private partnerships need to be broadened in the effectiveness of regularization. Investment shold not be only public, enabling grant to the private partner, through the use of certain legal instruments of the Statute of the City itself as a form of consideration to this interesting partner. Only experimenting a combined interpretation and application of legal instruments available to the State together with a political will, which may be secured to the Brazilian population the promised development and realization of the constitutional right to housing.

The research presented here has as goal to analyse relationship networks generated by possession experience of a spiritual entity, in religious hausehold session, in a popular zone in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. L'organisation patrimoniale en couple / The patrimonial organization in couple

Vergara, Orianne 04 July 2015 (has links)
The contemporary law of conjugality is based on a principle of pluralism. Nevertheless, the notion of “couple” is increasingly significant. Indeed, marriage, civil partnership (PACS) and cohabitation appear as a reflection of a conjugality which claims to be plural and with gradual effects. But the latter is increasingly hindered by the unity of the notion of couple. Besides, the daily patrimonial relations of spouses, civil partners and unmarried partners are organised around the same principles: strengthening economic collaborations and assigning the appropriate patrimonial protection. Therefore it may be considered to introduce in the Civil code, de lege ferenda, a unitary definition of the notion of couple as well as a set of common rules for all couples, regardless of their form of conjugality. The daily patrimonial relations of all couples would subsequently be governed by the same rules according to the unity of the notion of couple. However, the unity of the notion of couple does not completely erase the principle of pluralism of conjugalities. Despite the convergence between marriage and civil partnership, both those institutional modes of conjugalities rely on different economic models. Indeed, set aside the daily patrimonial organization, in a marital situation each spouse is entitled to a participation in the enrichment achieved by the other during the union - whereas the participation of each civil partner in the other’s enrichment is strictly limited to the investment operations.
