JATS Blue Lite: Analysen zur Definition eines minimalen Konsens-Customizings der Journal Article Tag Suite

Reinhardt, Nina Linn 25 August 2021 (has links)

Krzysztof Penderecki’s Divertimento/suite for Cello Solo (1994-2013): a Stylistic Analysis and Performance Guide

Sturman, Esra 05 1900 (has links)
Penderecki made a tremendous variety of contributions to the cello repertoire. His profound respect for tradition and for his past is deeply appreciated by both performers and audiences. In each individual composition, he explored the cello’s sonorous possibilities and created a new technical and musical palette for the instrument. He worked with legendary, world-renowned cellists who not only gave the premieres of his works but also established deep friendships with him. The Divertimento/Suite for Cello Solo (1994-2013), a compilation of miniature movements, each with its sophisticated structure, demonstrates Penderecki’s three compositional style periods. Baroque and Romantic elements in each movement are achieved within their style characteristics. Penderecki’s Divertimento/Suite for Violoncello Solo is composed of eight contrasting movements that were written during a nineteen-year period. The work is characterized by a Neo-Romantic aesthetic and utilizes the cello’s dark lyrical tones with a variety of timbre and tonal contrasts. The purpose of the present study is to create a practical performance guide to this important musical work with a detailed stylistic, textural, and motivic analysis of all eight movements. Although there are many published documents and analyses of Penderecki’s orchestral, choral, chamber and other solo pieces, the Divertimento/Suite for Cello Solo has yet to be thoroughly researched and discussed in the extant cello literature. It is the lack of research concerning this work that prompts this important study. This analysis will serve to outline the unifying compositional procedures of the work and explain the special instrumental techniques employed. With its illustrations of the motivic, harmonic and the textural relationships of each movement, this study serves as a twentieth-century performance guide for the cello world.

Xiao, Yi-Jun 27 September 1990 (has links) (PDF)

“In Old Mexico:” Suite for Solo Piano

Robinson, Frances O. 05 1900 (has links)
There is often difficulty in determining the most desirable medium to be used in the composition of music. After careful consideration, the writer chose the medium of piano to present the following musical composition. In the initial investigations, it appeared that the vocal idiom might provide a more suitable choice. However, piano teaching rather than work in the vocal field will probably consume a greater part of the writer's time in the future. The writing of a piano composition, then, appeared to be a justifiable decision.

Heidrich, Adriano Figueiredo 04 December 2009 (has links)
With the development of this work is intended to demonstrate the resurgence of the suite in mid-nineteenth century and subsequent implementation at the beginning of the twentieth century, from the suite for harpsichord of the eighteenth century. Tried to verify the formal and stylistic influence of gender in baroque schools later, and the role of the suite revisited, as reference pieces in the pianist repertoire. Historical background and socio-cultural fashion and style in question, as well as the importance in this kind for the Romantic repertoire and their influences in schools later. Formal and stylistic comparison between the Baroque suite and the suite of the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century, and also illustrative analysis with works of the genre. The suite of the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century played a key role in the disruption, by the nationalist composers, with the paradigms in German music.

Patterns in network security: an analysis of architectural complexity in securing recursive inter-network architecture networks

Small, Jeremiah January 2012 (has links)
Recursive Inter-Network Architecture (RINA) networks have a shorter protocol stack than the current architecture (the Internet) and rely instead upon separation of mech- anism from policy and recursive deployment to achieve large scale networks. Due to this smaller protocol stack, fewer networking mechanisms, security or otherwise, should be needed to secure RINA networks. This thesis examines the security proto- cols included in the Internet Protocol Suite that are commonly deployed on existing networks and shows that because of the design principles of the current architecture, these protocols are forced to include many redundant non-security mechanisms and that as a consequence, RINA networks can deliver the same security services with substantially less complexity.
