In this bibliography an attempt has been made to furnish references to teachers that may assist them to develop in the students: (1) an attitude of friendly interest which will help to link the Americas in mutual respect and to promote a better understanding of problems to be met; (2) to gain an understanding and appreciation of the background of South American culture of today; (3) to become familiar with the folk music as well as the concert, both vocal and instrumental.

This thesis focuses on the transformation of European tradition in the multicultural Hispanic America, as reflected in the essays of Alfonso Reyes and Pedro Henríquez Ureña. The first part is devoted to the theory of essay. It analyzes utopia as a way of thinking, not a literary genre and gives an overview of the life of artists and their collaboration in Ateneo de la Juventud. The second part deals with selected essays. Different topics are divided into three areas.The first area deals with the specific way of the Spanish colonization of the Americas and concerns the attitude, which the newly created states adopted to that heritage. The second area focuses on the interconnection between the Hispanomerican culture and the European tradition; influence, transformation and new forms, which European culture receives in Hispanic America; questions related to European cultural heritage (imitate or create?); creating a distinctive culture; universalism and cultural synthesis. The third area is directed into the future. It highlights the importance of culture where the greatest sense of belonging among the countries is felt and stresses the demand to restore humanities in education. abstract: La autobiografía, como medio de expresión y reivindicación del yo, ofrece a las autoras/artistas femeninas la oportunidad de definirse a sí mismas. El género autobiográfico tiene orígenes muy antiguos y resulta fundamental en el proceso de construcción de la identidad por parte de mujeres pertenecientes a grupos étnicos minoritarios. El discurso autobiográfico permite a la mujer ser al mismo tiempo escultura y escultor, creador y creación. El objetivo de este trabajo es ofrecer una nueva aproximación al universo femenino de la autorepresentación visual. La autonarración debería estar en el centro de la atención feminista, siendo uno de los métodos más efectivos que las mujeres pueden aplicar para hablar sobre sus experiencias y condiciones. Esta investigación intenta reunir voces multiétnicas y promueve un recurso interdisciplinario que interesa no solo a la literatura y la cultural, sino también a otros campos de las humanidades, como la historia, la sociología y los estudios de género y de la discapacidad. Una de las principales intenciones es desmantelar las formas tradicionales de identidad y destruir las fronteras sociales, adoptando la diferencia y la alteridad como un componente único de cada individuo. Mi proyecto de disertación analiza textos autobiográficos femeninos en sus diferentes formas visuales poniendo especial énfasis en los países de Argentina, México y Estados Unidos. A través de narrativas personales, fotografías, películas, pinturas, murales y producciones digitales, estas obras femeninas examinan temas como la homofobia, la identidad política, la soberanía nativa, la maternidad, la identidad lesbiana y diferentes identidades culturales minoritarias. Algunas de las autoras seleccionadas viven al margen de la supremacía blanca por el hecho de pertenecer a grupos étnicos y sociales minoritarios. Otras voces viven al margen del sistema heteronormativo dominante para reconocerse a sí mismas como lesbianas o bisexuales. Más allá de estos contextos, todas las autoras se encuentran discriminadas por ser mujeres en un contexto patriarcal. Los marcos teóricos que se emplean incluyen en sí definiciones autobiográficas interdisciplinarias teorizadas exclusivamente por mujeres. Podrían mencionarse, por ejemplo, los conceptos de HERstory (Ashby y Gore 1995), Autohistoria (Anzaldúa 1999) Pathography (Hawkins 1999), Feminography (Abrams 2017) y Autobiografilm (Paola Lagos Labbé 2011). Las diferentes historias visuales exploran los diferentes matices de la identidad racial y/o lesbiana de las mujeres que a menudo se perciben como forasteras dentro de su propio país. Todas las artistas objetos de mi análisis se enfrentan a diferentes formas de represiones y están motivadas por un deseo de reconocimiento social. Existe um sem número de obras que tratam da Economia Global (ou Globalização), analisando-a quanto aos aspectos econômicos, sociais, culturais, etc. Neste trabalho, utilizando-se as teorias de Gramsci, Althusser e outros sobre os Aparelhos Coercitivos de Estado, os Aparelhos de Hegemonia (Gramsci), os Aparelhos Ideológicos de Estado (Althusser) e a Indústria Cultural, partiu-se para uma perspectiva de Estado Transnacional Ampliado, liderado pelos Estados Unidos da América com as inevitáveis conseqüências para os países Latino-Americanos, no que tange aos aspectos econômicos e culturais. A necessária resistência a esse processo é enfatizada como a única saída possível para a América Latina, se quiser manter sua identidade perante a chamada \"Americanização\" econômico-cultural. / There are innumerable works on the issue of the Global Economy (or Globalization), analyzing the theme from economic, social and cultural aspects, etc. This work uses the theories of Gramsci, Althusser and others of the Coercive Apparatus of the State, the Hegemonic Apparatus (Gramsci), the Ideological Apparatus of the State (Althusser) and the Cultural Industry to move towards the perspective of an Enlarged Transnational State led by the United States of America and its inevitable consequences for Latin American nations on both the economic and cultural levels. [pt] O presente estudo analisa a formação do pensamento crítico literário do escritor peruano Mario Vargas Llosa ao longo dos anos sessenta e setenta. Neste período, marcado pela experiência revolucionária cubana e a expansão internacional da narrativa latino-americana, pensar a literatura era também pensar os modos de existência político-social no continente. Dessa forma, este trabalho divide-se em quatro momentos distintos e relacionais tendo como objeto de investigação, principal, a formulação da teoria dos demônios de Vargas Llosa desenvolvida de modo sistemático em seu livro Gabriel García Márquez: historia de un deicidio (1971). Inicialmente, busca-se a compreensão da conformação do pensamento de Vargas Llosa sobre o papel do intelectual e a função político-social da literatura no contexto dos anos sessenta, assim como a historicidade de seu ensaio sobre a obra do escritor colombiano García Márquez. Num segundo momento, analisamos o conteúdo da teoria dos demônios estabelecendo os diálogos com os pensamentos e conceitos de outros intelectuais, tais como Jean-Paul Sartre e Sigmund Freud. Depois, segue-se a análise das primeiras recepções críticas da interpretação de Vargas Llosa sobre a vocação do romancista e a natureza da literatura, compreendendo que os posicionamentos políticos do escritor peruano adquirem fundamental relevância nesse processo. Finalmente, aborda-se a polêmica entre Ángel Rama e Vargas Llosa, em 1972, na qual analisamos através dos repertórios e conceitos requeridos no debate os tensionamentos e noções de modernização político-cultural no discurso de ambos os polemistas. / [en] The present study analyzes the literary critical thinking formation of the Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa throughout the sixties and seventies. In this period, marked by Cuban revolutionary experience and the international expansion of Latin American narrative, to think literature was also to think about the ways of political-social existence on the continent. Thus, this work is divided into four distinct and relational moments having as main research object the formulation of the theory of the demons of Vargas Llosa systematically developed in his book Gabriel García Márquez: historia de un deicidio (1971). Firstly, an attempt is made to understand Vargas Llosa s understanding of the role of the intellectual and the political-social function of literature in the context of the 1960s, as well as the historicity of his essay on the work of Colombian writer García Márquez. In a second moment, we analyze the content of the theory of demons by establishing dialogues with the thoughts and concepts of other intellectuals, such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Sigmund Freud. Then follows the analysis of the first critical receptions of Vargas Llosa s interpretation of the novelist s vocation and the nature of the literature, understanding that the political positions of the Peruvian writer acquire fundamental relevance in this process. Finally, we discuss the polemic between Ángel Rama and Vargas Llosa in 1972, in which we analyzed through the repertoires and concepts required in the debate the tensions and notions of political-cultural modernization in the discourse of both polemicists.
