NOVÁKOVÁ, D.: Contents of hidden curriculum as learning contents of Art Education. [Diploma thesis] Prague 2015 - Charles University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education, 126 pages The thesis is tackling the hidden curriculum, in particular the hidden contents which take place in art education. It researches possible use of these contents in teaching of art education. The thesis has a character of qualitative explorative probe. The methods of research are observations and informal interviews. The study shows that the contents of the hidden curriculum bear an interesting educational potential for art education. However, teachers often do not register the contents or register but do not use them. The aim of the probe is thus to identify the various contents of the hidden curriculum in the practice of art education (with relation to socio-cultural and artistic context) and outline how they can be grasped. Subsequently, one content is specifically transformed into the design of art education, realized and reflected. Art part of the thesis is conceived as the author's art work reflection, focusing on the hidden side of her art work.

MSys: an activities tracking tool for e-learning systems.Baptista, Christiane Meiler 26 July 2007 (has links)
E-learning content creation is not an easy task, but its evaluation is even more complex. In order to evaluate if the content is adequate to the students needs, it would be helpful to know how the student assimilated the learning content, how he reacted to it and the period of time spent on the learning object. Besides, considering the different cognitive features of learning and the possibility of adjustment of the didactic content, it could help teacher\'s evaluation in an available online course. This work describes a monitoring system (Msys) that tracks the level of utilization of student\'s activities, and presents summarized and comparative results to the teacher and the student. Even though the widespread use of several LMS (Learning Management System) environments today, the importance of tools capable of offering a detailed monitoring of student\'s activities has not been recognized. This work focus on how the tool was created using current standards on digital content construction, defining functional requirements to its development and presenting simulation results that is a proof-ofconcept. Also, it is presented a prototype of the tool, validating the interfaces of capture and results presentation, showing that is possible to integrate it to online learning systems, bringing benefits to the teacher evaluation.

Development of E-learning Content and Delivery for Self Learning Environment : Case of Selected Rural Secondary Schools in TanzaniaLujara, Suzan January 2010 (has links)
The effective use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in devel-oping countries like Tanzania is crucial in order to overcome the challenges that are faced countrywide in many sectors, and to reduce the digital divide and improve the economy. ICT is becoming more and more integrated in societies worldwide, its effects are clearly seen in people’s lives as well as on countries’ economy as it opens doors for new opportunities and change the attitude of people towards learning. Secondary schools in Tanzania are facing many problems which hamper students’ learning. This in turn affects their performance in the National examinations hence reducing the growth of a learned society. This research specifically addresses the prob- lem of lack of learning and teaching materials by using ICT tools for the development and delivery of e-Learning content. The research focused on two secondary schools, namely, the Wali-Ul-Asr Seminary and Kibaha Secondary School as pilot schools in Kibaha district Pwani region. The research used courseware engineering methodology which integrated instructional design and software engineering. The research was also inspired by the concepts of participatory action research, Mode 2 knowledge production and triple helix, which incorporated stakeholders’ participation throughout the research. The main stakeholders are researchers, students, teachers, head teachers, and Ministry of Education and Vocational Training officials. This is an applied type of research addressing a practical problem in society. The out- come is a pilot package of e-Learning material comprised of sample chapters of Mathematics form III at the pilot site. Blended mode of delivery has been considered using Compact Disc/Digital Versatile Disc Read Only Memory, the Tanzania Secondary Schools e-Learning (TanSS-L) System, a customized Moodle platform and by using face to face learning.

Effect Of Constructed Web-supported Instruction On Achievement Related To Educational StatisticsEmmungil, Levent 01 September 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of web supported statistics education environment for graduate level students. The aim was to develop a web support system to ease the graduate students' / understanding of statistical concepts. This study also examined the perceptions of the students about web supported instruction.
Although there are some studies conducted about technology aided statistics education, they are insufficient in the amount according to other areas. Besides these few studies were conducted mainly among lower grades. There is a need to find out and overcome students&rsquo / learning difficulties about statistical concepts in graduate levels. The intention of the study was to construct a web support system for traditionally offered Educational Statistics course in order to decrease both instructor and students efforts to communicate, present, reach and use the resources. The subjects of the study were 21 graduate students of Educational Statistics course offered. None of the subjects was offered an on-line course before.
The study used both quantitative and qualitative measurements to analyze the effectiveness of the site and perceptions of the users. The results of the study indicated that there was an improvement in students&rsquo / achievement related to educational statistics through web supported instruction. Besides, the perceptions of the students were collected with interview questions about the functions and usability of the system. The highly positive perceptions of the students showed that, it is necessary for the students to have such a course support system.
The framework was developed not only support for traditionally offered courses, but also support for lifelong learning processes. The researcher believed that the study revealed the most realistic usage pattern of a course support system. The results can be used by the instructors in order to offer the best web support system with minimum effort. Moreover, the proposed system can be used in any learning content management systems without the need for technical knowledge.
