Lind, Jenny January 2008 (has links)

Currently, the whole globe is faced with serious problems which negatively affect people around the world: increased pollution, excessive waste, and weather pattern changes. ‘Left’ and ‘right’ wing political parties alike have embraced ‘green’ politics and for many of these parties, environmental issues have become a top priority that is very much reflected in their manifestos. This study examines the environmental goals of two of Sweden’s largest political parties and how these ambitions are reflected at a local level. The conclusions I have drawn in the study have been achieved by analysing official documents and by the comparison between two Swedish municipalities. As a result of my research, I have learned that the political leanings of a party are substantial in determining the goals and works for long-term sustainability at a local level. However, whether the prevailing parties are of the ‘left’ or ‘right’ political orientation does not seem to be of big importance because both ‘wings’ in Sweden are very liberal and have very similar environmental goals.

OS PROGRAMAS DE TRANSFERÊNCIA DE RENDA DO BRASIL E DO URUGUAI E AS ORGANIZAÇÕES INTERNACIONAIS

Fiori, Gecira Di 24 March 2008 (has links)
The programmers for the transfer of income to combat poverty, adopted by the governments of Brazil and Uruguay, as a reproduction of economic power, ideological and political neo liberalism, articulated by international organizations, with particular Summit of the Americas to make up the object of this study. The objective of the research is to contribute to the debate on the path of the left in Latin America face of poverty and its close relationship with the adoption of measures that characterize point and targeted social policy in the current model of capitalist accumulation. The content is based on the interpretation of tradition Marxist thought and theoretical framework that supports this study is composed of political scientists, historians and researchers, from a theoretical perspective-critical problematical the actions of the governments of the left in the implementation of these programmers, focusing Latin America and its challenges of integration. To analyse and interpret the breeding and a. Maintenance of the principles programmatic conservatives in the fulfillments of international covenants and commitments election, the left-wing governments of Brazil and Uruguay, appealed to the analysis of the Declarations and Plans of Action of the Summits of the Americas and programmers of Government of Brazil (Lula Coalition again with the strength of the people) and Uruguay (Frente Amplia) and it was used the method of analysis of Content, (MORAES, 1999), of the plans of actions of the Summits of the Americas (OAS) and programmers of government in Brazil and Uruguay. Is selected categories, classified by the size economic, and social policies, which establish direct relations on the basis of criteria and semantic syntactical, whose description of the present set of meanings in different units of analysis (MORAES, 1999). Through this methodology and of the deepening of analysis of these units, one becomes related the programs of transference of income for the combat to the poverty, adopted for the governments of Brazil and Uruguay, with the influence of the economic, ideological power and neoliberal politician as well as its use to catch international resources. It is considered that the debate on programs of transference of income adopted by the governments of left of Brazil and Uruguay surpasses the limits of the divergence between capitalist models and the conception of the disentailed poverty of the objective relations of production and concentration of income.

The adult hindgut as a model to study left-right morphogenesis in Drosophila : coupling of myosin ID and planar cell polarity for left/right morphogenesis in Drosophila

González Morales, Nicanor 03 October 2014 (has links)
Stereotyped left right (LR) asymmetry ensures proper looping of internal organs. In Drosophila, the adult hindgut (AHG) has a clear stereotypical dextral loop and, like all LR asymmetric organs, require MyoID for correct orientation. MyoID is an unconventional myosin type I that binds to DE-Cadherin, this association is required for proper LR establishment; however the mechanism that translates MyoID chirality into proper morphogenesis remains unknown. The AHG is a long tube coiled dextrally and located in the middle of the abdominal region. It develops from a cluster of progenitors containing two different populations of cells, H1 and H2. Here, we show that MyoID controls the AHG dextral loop by binding to the atypical cadherin Dachsous in H1 cells. Further, Ds-Fat signaling propagates towards the H2 cells which in turn become polarized towards the right and consequently loop. H1 is a transient population of cells that wear off in the first hours of metamorphosis; nevertheless the dextral information generated in H1 is maintained in H2 cells due to the cooperative action of PCP components. We demonstrate that the molecular basis of the LR establishment downstream of MyoID action lies in the PCP system, which has a double role transmitting and maintaining a dextral signal in the AHG. Thus, we provide for the first time a link in L/R morphogenesis between Drosophila and vertebrates in which PCP mutants result in L/R defects. Furthermore, in our attempts to better understand the evolution of L/R morphogenesis we found the recently co-Appearance of a myoID cis-Regulatory element and the AHG dextral loop, during Drosophila evolution, suggesting that changes in myoID express.

Historiebruk i Norrbottniska dagstidningar : Exemplet med rallarna / History-use in Norrbottnic newspapers : The Railway navvy example

Pihl, Per-Jonas January 2018 (has links)
This paper concerns the question how the Norrbottnic railway navvy has been used inNorrbottnic newspapers in order to deal with contemporary issues of a political and economicnature. The time period covered is 1951-2004 and 36 newspaper articles have been used. Thepaper shows that there is no obvious connection between the newspapers political affiliationand the components from the navvies lives one otherwise would expect the newspaper topresent. Ideological use of history is not always present. There are other uses of history to, inthe articles. On the other hand the results of this investigation shows all newspapers wants topreserve the navvies accomplishments for later generations. There is no clear connectionbetween a decision to preserve and important events in the surrounding contemporary society.A commitment to preserve is taken independently of important contemporary events.
