The Green Enterprises Of Business Strategy Study--The Case Of Laser Printer Remanufacture Toner Cartridge--

SU, SUN-TI 16 June 2004 (has links)
Abstract Recently years environmental protect conscious have raised, product throw away after used that had been impacted environment awfully. Green design; Environment protect design; Resource recycle; Green marketing; Remanufacture use etc. of concept, have been separate into whole society. As the information products quickly expand demand in the current, the electric information related products made huge numbers, that result in more garbage produce out, it had been stress to the environment. How to process those huge quantity information garbages part, became an important issues. According to the IDC, 2003 survey Taiwan area, the laser printer toner cartridge sales market there are over one million sets, such as that have been produce out huge number blank toner cartridge garbage. There are some small enterprises to remanufacture the use up of blank toner cartridge since ten year ago in Taiwan, they change the laser toner cartridge life cycle ¡ufrom born to dead¡vto ¡ufrom born to born¡vand sell that into printing expendable market, this way have environment protect concept and have economy benefits. But as DIPC, 2003 report the remanufacture toner cartridge¡Athere are ten percentage market share only in Taiwan printing expendable marketing, it is very low than USA or Europe of 30 to 35 percentage market share. The remanufacture toner cartridge business had been meet lower market share grow, because they except the same industry competition, they have meet large OEM printer manufacture sales pressure competition and consumer un-know this remanufacture toner product can provide stable printing quality and save the cost, these laser toner remanufacture industry have been meet grow limit. This study application the small enterprises manufacture advantage, industry environment analysis, industry competition analysis, same field industry competition analysis to establish the toner cartridge business advantage strategy , expect the result outcome can provide the remanufacture toner cartridge of greening business, promotion the green consumer market, extension the environmental protect product, promote environmental four fundamental ¡u4R,reduce¡Breuse¡Brecycle¡Brepair¡vto slow down toner cartridge garbage, save green resource & cost, provide the people job position, finally achieved the enterprises good profit outcome ,and continue competition advantage.

Export Competitivness : Product Life Cycles and Specialization

Edquist, Love January 2005 (has links)

/
In this thesis the relationship between product development of the German manufacturing industry and the rapid German export growth is analyzed. By a segmentation of the German export according to international competitiveness, differences in characteristics of the different segments are analyzed. Positive for Germany is that in the time-period 2000 to 2002, 76 out of 240 analyzed product groups were defined as experienced increased export competi-tiveness through relative price increase; more than in any other analyzed time-period. These 76 product groups constituted 29.5 percent of Germany’s total export value, marginal higher than in any other time-period.

The analysis also shows that German product groups with increasing international competitiveness through relative price increase are of higher value than products in other competitive segments. The international demand for product groups with increasing international competitiveness through relative price increase is also higher than for other competitive segments. However, no general significant differences could be shown between different competitive segments in respect to distance sensitiveness, importance of cultural and linguistic affinity and EU-membership on the import share of German products.

This is a case study, by means of an ethnographic research done for fifteen months. The analysis al soad dresses the present flows in the "Street of the Gypsies" in Mamanguape-PB, where the search field developed. The methodology is based on ethnography, plus a research literature on child anthropology, ethnicity and gypsy groups. Participant observation, was carried out in anthropological molds, durin graids on empirical field together some child anthropology of techniques (focus group and themed designs) and the interview technique with semi-structured. The research all ow edusto under stand the dynamics between the daily life of Calon Mamanguape Valley, routes and flows of people and objects that makeup this dynamic. In particular, the research turned to the design / child hood experience, among the Roma, that is, as social processes are designed to grow and recognize Calon, as opposed to not Gypsy world.

Adami, Felipe Kirst January 2010 (has links)
The present work analyzes, through a systemic approach, three elements that are as diverse as they are deeply related to musical composition: the creative process, a conception based on life cycles and the musical work Sinfonia Sistêmica (Systemic Symphony). A wide view was sought through which to approach the creative process, taking into account not only the process of production but also that which occurs through its performance, including responses to the composer and the rapport to the environment in which it is inserted. Elements of music, psychology, and neurology are raised, and the results of research in this area are collated through a wide bibliographical revision. A conclusion was reached that shows that the creative process of a musical composition develops according to regular proceedings which follow an organizational pattern and specific procedures that correspond to the composer´s musical and cultural background as well as elements originated in the environment that interfere in the process. This gives rise to a flow of energy and materials that feed the process and turns it into a dynamic process and makes it develop in time, making an open system of it.The Esthetic Conception of Life Cycles builds an analogy between the procedures of musical structure and the elements which are present in the life cycles. It is based on systemic views of life and it includes elements of current physics and biology theories such as Theory of Chaos, Fracto Geometry, Dissipative Structures and Autopoiesis. The connection between the Esthetic Conception of Life Cycles resides in the fact that the esthetic conception is one of the most important motivation elements in the creative process, and the Esthetic Conception of Life Cycles in its turn, includes the creative process among its elements, as a link between the composer, the work and the environment with which it interacts. The Sinfonia Sistêmica was composed during the doctorate program and presents the elements which have been discussed in the thesis and is its main object of study. Its analysis aims at showing how the creative process and the Esthetic Conception of Life Cycles occur in practice, and it also demonstrates how the composition itself interferes in the creative process, sometimes guiding it instead of being guided by it, as well as in the esthetic conception, bringing forth new elements as it develops.

The construction of this study came from the field observation, along with oral history technique, developed with three generations in three Pomeranian families. Through ethnographic analysis of the rituals of baptism, confirmation, marriage and funeral which mark the life cycles of the Pomeranians, the goal is to understand the formation of Pomeranian family identity and the socialization of individuals in this process. From the recollection of the Lutheran rituals, beliefs, and magical practices mainly those that are present in the memory of elder generations (grandparents and children) and through participant observation in the rites practiced currently in urban areas between grandchildren. It was tried to understand the continuities and ruptures that are present in their rituals, beliefs, and magical practices and also understand the relationship of values and knowledge around them, noting the conflicts between generations over the life cycle.

Life history parameters and regulation of the southern elephant seal population at Marion Island

Pistorius, Pierre Anton 28 November 2005 (has links)
Pup mortality of southern elephant seals at Marion Island from 1990 through 1999 ranged from 1.6 to 7.3%, averaging 3.8%. Pup mortality was density independent and dismissed as being a major population regulating agent at Marion Island. Juvenile survival over two periods, one during the population decline and the other after the population had stabilised, was assessed and compared using mark-recapture models. Survival was age- but not sex-related and on average, the probability of survival was 59.5%,81.4% and 78.1% for the first, second and third year respectively. There was no significant difference in survival over the two periods and juvenile survival does not appear to be an important population regulating component in the southern elephant seal population. Mark-recapture data for females from the Marion Island population since the population stabilisation (1994) was analysed and compared with similar data collected during the decline and with data collected from the increasing population in southern Argentina. Survival of prime-age adult females increased by 8% concurrent with the stabilisation at Marion Island, which ultimately compensated for an annual rate of decline of the population of 5.85% until 1994. Survival of adult females at the colony in southern Argentina was 6% greater than at Marion Island after the stabilisation. Adult female survival is concluded to predominantly regulate the population. Changes in adult female survival and breeding probabilities with age were quantified in order to measure the prevalence of senescence in the population. Less than a 1 % difference between prime-age and post prime-age survival was found over eight cohorts of marked females and no evidence of reproductive senescence in terms of reduced breeding probability with age was detected. Five percent of southern elephant seal females survived to age ten and 0.5 % to the age of seventeen. Pubescent male survival increased concordant with the population stabilisation. These animals have high energetic demands due to a secondary growth spurt during which growth is accelerated and this increase lends support to the hypothesis that food has been limiting the population at Marion Island. Future survival and breeding probabilities of females primiparous at different ages were estimated in order to investigate potential future fitness costs associated with early breeding. Annual future survival of females breeding at age three was the same as that for females primiparous at four and slightly higher than that for females primiparous at five and six. Future breeding probabilities of females primiparous at three were similar to that for females primiparous at four and older. I found no evidence for future fitness costs incurred through reproductive expenditure and conclude that age of primiparity IS determined by acquisition of a critical body mass, after which no future delay in reproduction takes place. I estimated future survival and capture probabilities of southern elephant seals that winter at Marion Island during their first three years and compared these values to similar estimates from individuals that were not observed to winter over the same time periods. There were no significant differences in survival between wintering and non-wintering elephant seals suggesting that survival is not a fitness correlate of wintering behaviour. I provide unique evidence of differential site fidelity within age- and sex classes, which has implications for population modelling. / Thesis (PhD (Zoology))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Zoology and Entomology / unrestricted

Generic Metadata Handling in Scientific Data Life Cycles

Grunzke, Richard 12 April 2016 (has links)
Scientific data life cycles define how data is created, handled, accessed, and analyzed by users. Such data life cycles become increasingly sophisticated as the sciences they deal with become more and more demanding and complex with the coming advent of exascale data and computing. The overarching data life cycle management background includes multiple abstraction categories with data sources, data and metadata management, computing and workflow management, security, data sinks, and methods on how to enable utilization. Challenges in this context are manifold. One is to hide the complexity from the user and to enable seamlessness in using resources to usability and efficiency. Another one is to enable generic metadata management that is not restricted to one use case but can be adapted with limited effort to further ones. Metadata management is essential to enable scientists to save time by avoiding the need for manually keeping track of data, meaning for example by its content and location. As the number of files grows into the millions, managing data without metadata becomes increasingly difficult. Thus, the solution is to employ metadata management to enable the organization of data based on information about it. Previously, use cases tended to only support highly specific or no metadata management at all. Now, a generic metadata management concept is available that can be used to efficiently integrate metadata capabilities with use cases. The concept was implemented within the MoSGrid data life cycle that enables molecular simulations on distributed HPC-enabled data and computing infrastructures. The implementation enables easy-to-use and effective metadata management. Automated extraction, annotation, and indexing of metadata was designed, developed, integrated, and search capabilities provided via a seamless user interface. Further analysis runs can be directly started based on search results. A complete evaluation of the concept both in general and along the example implementation is presented. In conclusion, generic metadata management concept advances the state of the art in scientific date life cycle management.
