Digitala lås i hemtjänst : En förstudie till digitala lås i hemtjänsten / Digital locks in-home care : A feasibility study for digital locks in-home care

En undersökning av det upplevda behovet att införa digitala lås på en enhet i Södertälje kommun, ett kvalitetshus används för att välja ett system utav tre. Därefter kalkyleras vad en investering skulle kosta och slutligen levereras en kalkyl som visar vad ett införande skulle kunna generera i monetära termer. Att investera i en pilotanläggning med 77 brukare skulle kosta cirka 50 000 kronor, detta är en sanning med modifikation – alla kostnader är inte medräknade, utan bara licens för mjukvara och hårdvaran. Kalkylen visar en potentiell besparing på: 200 000 kronor om man räknar på 20-minuter, 100 000 kronor om man räknar på 10-minuter och 120 000 kronor om man räknar på 12-minuter. Idag använder kommunen traditionella (fysiska) nycklar och förvarar brukarnas nycklar i både större och mindre skåp hos enheterna. Enligt rutinen ska nycklarna tillbaka till nyckelskåpet vid ett eventuellt byte, detta medför att det blir väldigt mycket spring med nycklarna. Om ett trygghetslarm utlöses så har utföraren 30-minuter att inställa sig hos brukaren. Problem kan uppstå om nycklarna inte finns registrerade i systemet på rätt sätt, samt att personalen under dagen har överlämnat nycklarna till någon annan i personalen och inte lämnat tillbaka nycklarna till nyckelskåpet mellan överlämningarna. Det kan också vara så att nycklar försvinner, som sedan måste ersättas av kommunen. De största tidstjuvarna finns: vid larm, morgonrutinen och byten på dagen. Det händer mycket under en arbetsdag, vilket gör att personalen behöver byta nycklar med varandra och personalen löser detta på det bästa sättet för tillfället och inte alltid enligt rutinen. I rapporten undersöks vilka system som utförarna använder och slutsatsen är att det är lämpligt att försöka använda ett system som passar in smidigt i befintliga system, så att det inte blir ytterligare system. Det är även viktigt vid ett eventuellt införande fundera på hur kommunen tänker organisera sig vid: installation, underhåll och förvaltning – vill kommunen disponera antingen en central enhet, decentraliserad ute hos enheterna eller använda externa entreprenörer, exempelvis en låssmed. Utförarna är positiva och upplever att behovet finns att införa digitala lås, medan fastighetsägarna inte ser en direkt nytta med lösningen. Mycket beror på hur kommunen för dialogen och bjuder in till samtal vid ett tidigt stadium och förklarar vad man har tänkt sig för lösning. / A study of the perceived need to introduce digital locks on a unit in Södertälje municipality, a quality house is used to select a system of three. It is also important for a possible introduction to thinking about how the municipality intends to organize: installation, maintenance, and management - which the municipality has either a central unit, decentralized out of the units or use external contractors, such as a locksmith. The performers are positive and feel that the need is to introduce digital locks, while the property owners do not see a direct benefit from the solution. Much depends on how the municipality for the dialogue and invites to talks at an early stadium and explains what you are planning for a solution.

Postbuckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Beams

This paper studies the geometrically non-linear bending behavior of functionally graded beams subjected to buckling loads using the finite element method. The computational model is based on an improved first-order shear deformation theory for beams with five independent variables. The abstract finite element formulation is derived by means of the principle of virtual work. High-order nodal-spectral interpolation functions were utilized to approximate the field variables which minimizes the locking problem. The incremental/iterative solution technique of Newton's type is implemented to solve the nonlinear equations. The model is verified with benchmark problems available in the literature. The objective is to investigate the effect of volume fraction variation in the response of functionally graded beams made of ceramics and metals. As expected, the results show that transverse deflections vary significantly depending on the ceramic and metal combination. / Revisión por pares

Nested pessimistic transactions for both atomicity and synchronization in concurrent software

Existing atomic section interface proposals, thus far, have tended to only isolate transactions from each other. Less considered is the coordination of threads performing transactions with respect to one another. Synchronization of nested sections is typically relegated to outside of and among the top-level flattened sections. However existing models do not permit the composition of even simple synchronization constructs such as barriers. The proposed model integrates synchronization as a first-class construct in a truly nested atomic block implementation. The implementation is evaluated on quantitative benchmarks, with qualitative examples of the atomic section interface???s expressive power compared with conventional transactional memory implementations.

Esta tese é um estudo sobre três possíveis signos desdobrados pelos díspares do aprender, que são: (1) Resistência; (2) Ideias-Problema; (3) Experimentações. A investigação teórica e empírica, gerada pelos registros do diário de anotações, é narrada pelo personagem conceitual intitulado filosofeiro, que busca perscrutar os processos de individuação de tais signos no aprender que acontece no grupo de estudos de professores inserido no Projeto CIVITAS (Cidades Virtuais: Tecnologias de Aprendizagem e Simulação - LELIC/PPGEdu/UFRGS). O desdobramento dos signos do aprender se disparatam nos contextos (1) Político de referência; (2) Ético de imanência e (3) Estético de composição. Como metodologia, o estudo lança mão de uma perspectiva cartográfica do grupo de estudos de professores, o qual tem, como consigna, o uso do diário de anotações, a partir do qual é feita uma análise dos desdobramentos do aprender no processo de formação de professores em serviço. O estudo em questão também procura fazer uma discussão da articulação entre os signos no programa de experimentação promovido pelas regras do CIVITAS. O texto está estruturado a partir de uma apresentação do problema e da metodologia de investigação, situando o contexto do município de Sobradinho/RS/Brasil, cidade onde a experimentação com os professores foi realizada. Estabelece, também, uma relação entre essa experimentação e as políticas públicas de formação de professores. O plano político apresenta o signo resistência no contexto da experimentação, fazendo tensão aos modos de referência da ordem do mundo que influenciam a formação de professores e reforçando o modo indivíduo na educação. O plano da ética propõe que o signo idéia-problema exige uma nova forma de pensar, designada de eclusamento, pelo qual as faculdades do pensamento não concordam para o mesmo objeto, sugerindo que essa violência do pensamento gera problematizações no exercício cotidiano do aprender. Finalmente, o plano da estética ocupa-se com o contexto das composições, no qual o filosofeiro apresenta o signo da experimentação e algumas histórias de cidades inventadas em sala de aula junto com as crianças do projeto CIVITAS. Bluetooth Low Energy and Smartphones for Proximity-Based Automatic Door Locks

Bluetooth Low Energy is becoming increasingly popular in mobile applications due to the possibility of using it for proximity data. Proximity can be estimated by measuring the strength of the Bluetooth signal, and actions can then be performed based on a user's proximity to a certain location or object. One of the most interesting applications of proximity information is automating common tasks; this paper evaluates Bluetooth Low Energy in the context of using smartphones to automatically unlock a door when a user approaches the door. Measurements were performed to determine signal strength reliability, energy consumption and connection latency. The results show that Bluetooth Low Energy is a suitable technology for proximity-based door locks despite the large variance in signal strength.

Frame Analysis of Canadian Copyright Reform 2008-2012: From "Made-in-Canada" to a "Balanced Solution"

From 2008-2012, the Harper government engaged in an effort to reform Canada's copyright legislation. This thesis uses a frame analysis approach to identify two distinct frames advanced by the government during this reform. 2008's Bill C-61 was unsuccessfully framed as a "Made-in-Canada" bill in order to combat opposition claims that American pressure unduly influenced the policy process. Following the failure of this bill, the government embarked on a public consultation on copyright. Although the government did not substantively modify subsequent reform bills, it was able to leverage the consultation process and Supreme Court of Canada jurisprudence to lend legitimacy to its new frame of the reform as a "balanced approach", build a coalition of support, and mitigate opposition. The thesis' analysis supports key conclusions of existing framing literature and creates a space for the role of ideas in the study of copyright reform in Canada.

The aim of this thesis is to determine the market value of the company Kiekert-CS, s.r.o. as of 1 April 2013. Strategic analysis is the first part of this thesis, which has a crucial role throughout the valuation, because there is identified the market development potential, business potential of Kiekert-CS, s.r.o. and the means, which the company owns. Several studies of leading consulting companies are used for determination of market potential. Subsequently, there is prepared financial analysis and value drivers forecast, which underlines the financial plan. DCF equity method serves as an essential method within the process of valuation, method of market multiples is used as a complementary one. The final market value of the company Kiekert-CS, s.r.o. is set in the range of 2,9 billion CZK and 3,4 billion CZK, with the most likely market value considered by the author 3,38 billion CZK.
