This master‘s thesis describes problematics of mathematical models of tires for computer simulations. The goal of this thesis is to depict currently used models of tires and to compare them. Thesis describes brush type models, Fiala, Magic Formula (Pacejka), FTire, UA-Gim, 521 and DELFT. Those models are compared to each other by simulations carried out in software MSC ADAMS Car. The results are shown in figures with commentary and evaluation. This thesis serves as introduction to problematics of currently used mathematical models of tire in computer simulations.

My work called Wandering... is addressed to natural ways of Travelling. I relativised this therm and I complain it with the word Wandering. First of all I try to evocate wandering in mind. I use quite static images that contrasts with wide range of musical themes and sound effects.

Tato práce představuje návrh na vytvoření dekodéru pro video zaznamenané pomocí softwaru Magic Lantern, který může být nainstalován na Canon 5D. Toto video je význačné pro svoji velikost 14-bitů v raw formátu a proto může produkovat velmi kvalitní výstup. Práce má za cíl rozdělit video do jednotlivých snímků, ve vhodném formátu, který umí pracovat také s formáty obrazů s vysokým dynamickým rozsahem.

Orientador: Pedro Angelo Pagni / Resumo: Esta tese é uma investigação transversal entre os campos da Educação, da Filosofia e da Magia. O percurso singular de minha existência, aliado à percepção da emergência de saberes e práticas da magia enquanto possibilidade de resistência à biopolítica e ao neoliberalismo na atualidade, possibilitou enunciar a problemática de pesquisa nos seguintes termos: Como a relação entre filosofia e magia permite experimentarmos outra educação filosófica no tempo presente? O meu objetivo geral é desenvolver usos aproximados entre magia e filosofia que problematizem práticas vigentes em nossa formação acadêmica em filosofia. Experimento a hipótese de que tornar visível a ética do cuidado de si em sua dimensão arcaica – cronologia emergente da filosofia ocidental - permite uma integração ao campo da magia como possibilidade de ensaiar um tipo de educação filosófica que amplia o conjunto de técnicas de si para além do pensamento crítico e do humanismo como paradigma epistemológico e disciplinar que nos subjetiva atualmente. Penso o cuidado de si enredado a dois conceitos-chave que a ele se relacionam no período arcaico: o daimon e os sonhos. A especificidade de meu objeto convida Michel Foucault como o principal referencial teórico de tese, mas exige que eu pense com e para além dele. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This thesis is a transversal investigation across the fields of Education, Philosophy and Magic. The singular path of my existence, combined with the perception of the emergence of knowledge and practices of magic as a possibility of resistance to biopolitics and neoliberalism today, supported the research problem in the following terms: How does the relationship between philosophy and magic allow us to experience another philosophical education at the present time? My general objective is to develop bordering uses between magic and philosophy that problematize prevailing practices in our academic formation in philosophy. I experiment with the hypothesis that making the ethics of care of the self visible in its archaic dimension - an emerging chronology of Western philosophy - allows integration into the field of magic as a possibility to rehearse a type of philosophical education that expands the set of self-techniques beyond critical thinking and humanism as an epistemological and disciplinary paradigm that currently subjective us. I think of care of the self tied to two key concepts that relate to it in the archaic period: the daimon and dreams. The specificity of my object invites Michel Foucault as the main theoretical framework of the thesis, but it requires me to think with and beyond him. Au croisement de la fantasy, ce genre de l’imaginaire qui a reçu ses lettres de noblesse avec J.R.R. Tolkien et jouit aujourd’hui d’une immense popularité, et des romans néo-victoriens, ces réécritures contemporaines du canon historique et littéraire du XIXe siècle apparues dans les années 1960, la fantasy néo-victorienne exhibe ses dragons à vapeur. Tributaire de différents genres et sous-genres, il s’agit d’une littérature paradoxale, prise entre progrès et regret, spéculation et nostalgie. Le contexte victorien renvoie la fantasy à sa première naissance dans les années 1890, et plus largement à l’émergence de la paralittérature et des littératures de l’imaginaire (roman policier, fantastique, horreur, science-fiction), héritières du roman gothique du XVIIIe siècle. Il est nécessaire de décrypter l’arbre généalogique de l’imaginaire pour comprendre les genres hybrides contemporains, tels que la fantasy urbaine et le steampunk, qui représentent à eux deux une partie majeure de la fantasy néo-victorienne. Cette dimension génétique est mise au service d’une poétique autant que d’une politique : il importe justement de définir la valeur du préfixe néo- et de distinguer les moments où le néo-victorianisme penche vers le néo-conservatisme. Quel engagement pour la fantasy néo-victorienne, cette littérature du présent qui interroge et transforme le passé victorien ? Des voyages à dos de dragon à l’héritage de l’Empire britannique, des bas-fonds de Londres aux mondes parallèles de l’uchronie, des zombies aux fanfictions, la recherche d’une poétique nous amène à problématiser l’importance de la fiction dans notre vision du monde. / Fantasy became an official genre of speculative fiction with J.R.R. Tolkien’s work, while the neo-Victorian novel emerged in the 1960s as a contemporary rewriting of the historical and literary canon of the nineteenth century: where the two meet, the steam dragons of neo-Victorian fantasy take flight. At the crossroads of several genres and sub-genres, it is a literature of paradoxes, caught between progress and regret, speculation and nostalgia. The Victorian era was the setting of fantasy’s first birth in the 1890s, and it also witnessed the appearance of several types of genre fiction and speculative fiction (the detective novel, the fantastic, horror and science-fiction) which grew out of the eighteenth-century Gothic novel. The family tree of speculative fiction needs to be laid out if one is to understand hybrid contemporary genres like urban fantasy and steampunk, which comprise most of neo-Victorian fantasy. The taxonomy itself serves to explore the poetical and political dimension: we strive to define the precise meaning of the prefix neo- and distinguish the moments when the neo-Victorian becomes neo-Conservative. What kind of commitment does neo-Victorian fantasy enact, as a type of literature anchored in the present, which interrogates and transforms the Victorian past? From travels on dragonback to the inheritance of the British Empire, from the depths of London to the parallel worlds of alternative history, from zombies to fanfictions, the search for a poetics leads us question the impact that fiction has on our worldview.

1 SUMMARY: Magie, mystika a liturgie: židovská tradice v amuletech pozdní antiky Magic, Mysticism and Liturgy: Jewish Tradition in Amulets of Late Antiquity Marek Vinklát This dissertation thesis focuses on a phenomenon of Aramaic magic bowl, or Aramaic incantation bowls, amulets originating in Mesopotamia of Late Antiquity. It is a first Czech monograph on this topic and also a bold attempt to translate texts of these already published bowls to the Czech language. After the introduction, which elucidates the means of selection and translation of sixteen presented bowls, author discusses the history of research on these peculiar amulets. Many past and modern scholars are presented here with their theories, attitudes and publications. A special part of this second chapter is dedicated to the problem of black antiquities market and illegal trade with Aramaic magic bowls. The first chapter is dealing with a possible connection of bowls and Hekhalot literature, which is also briefly introduced and described. Author analyzes and translates five Aramaic magic bowls and compares their preciously unique content with relevant macroforms of Hekhalot literature. This study intends to investigate the use of Joel Greenblatts investing strategy “Magic Formula” on the Swedish stock market for the 10-year period of last of March 2009 to last of March 2019-- a period characterized as a raging bull-market, mainly driven forward by historically low interest rates. This is done by the utilization of back testing, later comparing the returns with a benchmark(OMXSGI) as well as determining if the return can be aptly explained by the asset pricing models CAPM and Fama-French 3 factor with the use of regression analysis. The author found that after transactions cost the two portfolios created according to Magic Formula principles returned 22.63% and 22.21% CAGR which beat the benchmark 15.21% CAGR handily. The alpha of both created portfolios however was shown to be statistical insignificant on the 0.05 significance level when controlling for risk, size and value factors. Further studies are hence recommended—especially on markets which presumably are less efficient and/or over longer period of times with macroeconomic conditions that might reward value more strongly since Magic Formula seems to be capable of being a reasonable screening tool for these types of stocks.

Är det möjligt att överprestera aktiemarknaden genom investeringsstrategier eller bör den långsiktigeinvesteraren följa indexportföljen? I denna studie appliceras Joel Greenblatts investeringsstrategi ”TheMagic Formula” på den svenska aktiemarknaden under åren 2000-2020. Strategin bygger på systematiskvärdeinvestering där nyckeltalen Return On Invested Capital (ROIC) och Earnings Yield (EY)kombineras för att hitta undervärderade bolag med god resultateffektivitet. En fiktiv portfölj beståendeav 20 likaviktade bolag från NASDAQ Stockholm testas mot SIXRX under denna 20 år lång tidsperiodför att undersöka huruvida strategin överträffat marknadsportföljen på längre sikt. The Magic Formulaportföljen genererade en genomsnittlig avkastning på 13,5% per år i jämförelse med marknadsportföljenSIXRX som under samma period avkastat 6,6% per år. Störst överavkastning finner vi under turbulentabörsår där marknadsportföljen genererat negativ avkastning. I enlighet med tidigare studier på dennordiska marknaden finner vi ett signifikant alfa efter att ha justerat för småbolags- ochvärdebolagseffekten enligt Fama French trefaktormodell. Momentumeffekten tycks dock vara enförklarande faktor då vi ej finner signifikant alfa när månadsavkastning jämförs mot Carhartfyrfaktormodell som tar hänsyn till denna kända anomali.
