Chang-Chien, Lung-chin 06 September 2004 (has links)
Wetland park is developed and beginning revitalized in the field of the park and green land, there are more and more trends particularly to apply to the coastal area of the west of our country, seeing that the expectation that the land uses is ardent , a lot of planning units and undertook business are beginning to be exposed to such a new park concept gradually, But to originally storing in the production of the economic worth and activity in the wetland is not clear and bright, so that the deviation promptly in the initial stage of planning , and the collection of the environment data does not really perfect, soon careless entry the detail design, or construct directly. How to take the rational planning procedure and overall self-criticism of wetland under the situation of different in unit's technological quality of planning, it is undoubtedly a topic that is worth studying! The planning way and quality of the wetland park in Taiwan are different, and the goal is inconsistent, the local government organization and planning units play important roles on wetland park decision making, and often have great influence in the final planning achievement. However, whether members of the leading wetland park project have a professional background or master in the relevant field? For wetland ecology, planning and design, land suitable are analysis, even is people's demand considered? And how to operate integrated land planning and management, I'm afraid that also remains to be discussed. So, with the collection of the wetland park cases, and find out about the characteristic of the domestic wetland environment, including the natural and humane condition discussion, and preliminary draw up a set of planning factors of wetlands park, it is eight module groups altogether, to go deep into the environmental topic , ecological spatial distribution, research of planning methods, the investigation of historical changes, self-criticism of the application aspect, tools using, theory and in the understanding of community participation, in order to adjust the direction of wetland park planning further , let the wetland park have rationality even more. The planning module groups of the wetland park is probing into how rational the planning content of wetland park, This text takes river bank park of area in Xingren of Chia-yi city as an example, use overlap analysis and module groups to probe into the rationality of its planning content, finally put forward the integrated management strategies for the reference in the follow-up management operation. But does not judge the quality of the park according to that, expect that can give consideration to the human demand and bio-diversity conservation in the planning of the wetland park in the future.

A Research on the Management Strategies of The Development of Healthcare Tourism in Kaohsiung City

Wang, Kuang-fu 18 August 2009 (has links)
Taiwan has been practicing The National Health Insurance (NHI) more than ten years. Under the regulations of the NHI policy, almost all hospitals have encountered challenges and difficulties in their business operation. Therefore, figuring out how to move on from these obstacles and to create more profitable opportunities have become the primary tasks for the hospitals. Now, facing a global economic downturn, while the conventional and electronic industries are in recession, the healthcare industry in Kaohsiung City will need to take more actions in order to survive such a crisis and create new opportunities. Taiwan¡¦s neighboring countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and India have been actively opening up their healthcare industry markets and earning considerable amount of money from foreign patients, creating many job opportunities. What Kaohsiung City could learn from these countries¡¦ successful experiences in order to benefit and help develop its own healthcare industry is the focus of this dissertation. Since 2005, a three-year project ¡V healthcare tourism, has been carrying out. It was practiced in Kenting only for half a year, and there are many reasons resulted in the short life of this project. Years later, the present Ma Ying-Jiu government vows to redevelop the healthcare industry. However, the key to the success of such a project is whether the government has the resolution to clear up unnecessary, restraining regulations and laws, and to set up responsible organizations in order to help the development of the healthcare industry. After the Three Linkages ¡V direct postal, trade, and transportation ¡V between Taiwan and the Mainland China were reconnected at 2008 December 15, the relation between the two straits is less intense. The Kaohsiung City Major, Miss Chen Ju, as the major of the host city of the World Game 2009, went to Beijing and Shanghai to promote this event. This trip has political and economical significances, which continue impacting on the relationship between Taiwan and Mainland China and were reflected on several important Democratic Progressive Party members¡¦ recent, frequent visits of China. How these phenomena would influence on the development of the healthcare industry in Kaohsiung City is still under observation. This dissertation uses Dr. Wan Ming-Sheng¡¦s Consultation Framework of Integrated Public Affairs Administration as the main theory, through in-depth interviews with governors and professional experts in the fields of healthcare and travelling, this research is able to conclude the following practicable strategies, regarding their value, practicability and support, for the development of the healthcare industry of Kaohsiung City: 1. Now it is a good timing for Kaohsiung City to develop its healthcare industry. The city should use all the advantages it possesses and take initiative moves. 2. Beauty and Healthcare Tourism Promotion Association of Kaohsiung City is already established. The association is advised to be promoted and led by non-governmental directors. 3. The healthcare tourism should list Hong Kong and Macao people as primary sale targets; the secondary should be the Mainland Chinese and Chinese people from other countries. 4. Necessary measures should be carried out in order to prevent malign sale competitions which would bring down the quality of the healthcare service in Kaohsiung City. 5. Kaohsiung City should take the advantage of hosting the World Game 2009 to promote its strength in healthcare service, such as and particularly health checks. 6. The government should face and respond with an active attitude towards the requests from the healthcare industry and release the industry from unhelpful, restraining laws. Healthcare can be and is a business. 7. The central government should take other Asian countries¡¦ successful experiences as models, and sets up cross-section supervisory sectors responsible mainly for directing issues regarding healthcare tourism.

Construction planning and execution strategies for enhancing project success on electrical construction subcontracts

Kim, Dae Young, 1977- 30 January 2012 (has links)
As subcontractors, electrical contractors have been facing unfavorable environments, with problems such as constrained job site areas, schedule interference, and inefficient communication with other trades. To achieve desired goals more efficiently, electrical contractors require a more systematic and effective project management strategy. The primary goal of this research is to develop continuous task strings that pair pre-construction planning (PCP) with relevant project execution (PE) tasks in order for electrical contractors to achieve significantly better performance. Incorporating several statistical analyses, the research demonstrates the effects of continuous task strings on project performance in terms of cost and schedule success. The results reveal that the levels of task string usage are significantly correlated to project success. Moreover, task strings have significant leveraged effects on project performance: project performance can be improved by stringing together related PCP and PE tasks as opposed to performing either PCP or PE task individually. The research further suggests the specific high-value task strings that significantly increase the likelihood of achieving successful project outcomes. Ultimately, by elucidating the relationship between pre-construction planning and project execution tasks, the research can help electrical contractors accomplish significantly better performance through effective project management strategies. / text

Vadovavimo kokybės kaitai bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose strategijos / Management strategies for quality vicissitude in comprehensive schools

Sabaliauskienė, Daiva 05 March 2010 (has links)
Hospital organizational structures, culture, change and effectiveness : the case of Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar

Al-Kuwari, Hanan Mohamed S. January 2002 (has links)
This thesis presents health care organizations as heterogenic and highly complex in nature with particular normative structures underpinning their formal rational structures. It seeks to explore the evolution of organization structure as applied to a medical corporation in Qatar and to examine the nature of organizational culture and multi professional cohesiveness. In doing so it assesses a range of models on organizational design and change. The three hospitals that compose the corporation are investigated through triangulated interpretative qualitative and quantitative methodologies and the application of the Competing Values Framework. The comprehensive approach of the investigation resulted in a series of conclusions on the evolution of hospital organizational structures, the link between life cycle and structure, forms of organizing health services, characertistics of professional structures, the nature and success of change management strategies, coordination mechanisms, organizational and professional cultures, and health service, organizational and team effectiveness assessment. Findings demonstrated that autonomous and sometimes conflicting professions worked in harmony and cohesiveness as a consequence of shared core values and the human relations focus of health organizations. In examining organizational design it showed that coordination mechanisms were preferred to integration mechanisms with the former playing an important role in conflict resolution and human relations. Finally, findings indicated that when organizational design has shortcomings, the organization substitutes through other mechanisms.

Gestão de multinacionais: análise de trajetórias de internacionalização de empresas brasileiras e de estratégias de gestão de subsidiárias. / Multinational management - paths of Brazilian companies internationalization and subsidiaries management strategies.

Cristina Rodrigues de Borba Vieira 18 December 2008 (has links)
The changes in the competitive environment in mature consuming markets, the increase on the number of competing companies and the accelerated propagation of new knowledge and technologies have been producing alterations in company strategies and contributing for the enlargement of internationalization process. Brazil is inserted in this process, extending its participation in the international market by the increase on the number of national companies with subsidiaries abroad. These companies decide for the acquisition and establishment of subsidiaries abroad intending to extend its markets and incomes. These units contribute not only to the market which they serve, but also to other markets, as exporting platform and units that generates knowledge from the relationship with external agents. Given that the internationalization process is important both for companies and countries, the aim of this study is understanding which has been the trajectory of some Brazilian companies. In this way, it was analyzed the management of Brazilian company subsidiaries and the different functions of these units intending to visualize the current scenario of the companies, as well as understanding the dynamics between national headquarters and their subsidiaries. In order to achieve these objectives it was done a qualitative research, through a case study of four companies. Interviewing techniques were used supported by documentary sources. The work with multiple cases was fundamental to characterize different company strategies, as well as to justify the reasons of choice of the companies. The research pointed out that it is not possible to establish a typical model of management for the studied subsidiaries, that is, there is not an excellent alignment between the elements that are part of the management strategy attribution of subsidiary, management mechanisms and levels of managers autonomy, knowledge transaction and technical activities. One may conclude that the alignment depends on the strategy, which on its turn is established by the economic environment analysis.
