No. of bitstreams: 1 Renata Costa Rolim Loureiro.pdf: 394635 bytes, checksum: e843078851d16f60e674a13315e21bac (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-11-03 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present research aims to describe how a senior male, who lived in the 20th century, passing by all the stages of his life cycle, signified the parental function, inserted in a social context of changes, in which, little years ago, the patriarchal model was used to establish the relation between father and son, determined by remote friendship, in a society in which the life expectancy decreased and do not give to the individual the opportunity of living all the stages of the male parental function. These research included the report of the life biography of a man aged 80, of high middle class backgrounds, living in city and drawn from a non clinical population. The theoretical approaches which formed the basis for the conceptual framework of this investigation was: studies on masculinity and the gender perspective, Bioecological perspective of development and life cycle. The results show that besides the contemporary division of the life cycle in different stages, the biography of this individual only unveil three phases, and the transition of each one are influenced of word. Besides, it is possible to observe that the individual is influenced by a social context of changes, make signification an negotiation in his way of looking after, not based on the patriarchal model learned by his father and grandfather. At the same way, the individual remains his authority and position in the family / O presente trabalho teve como objetivo discutir como um homem idoso que atravessou o século XX e pode vivenciar todas as etapas do ciclo vital, foi significando a função parental em um contexto social de mudanças, em que até pouco tempo o modelo patriarcal geralmente estabelecia uma relação entre pai e filho de distanciamento afetivo, em uma sociedade na qual a expectativa de vida era menor e, por isso, não oportunizava ao indivíduo a vivência da função parental masculina em todas as etapas do ciclo vital. Foi utilizado o relato de história de vida de um indivíduo de 80 anos pertencente à camada média alta urbana de uma população não clínica. Os aportes teóricos que respaldaram a investigação foram: estudos sobre masculinidades e a perspectiva de gênero, a perspectiva bioecológica de desenvolvimento e ciclo vital. Os resultados revelam que mesmo com as contemporâneas divisões do ciclo vital em diversas fases, a história de vida desse indivíduo apenas revela três fases, e a transição entre elas relaciona-se ao trabalho. Além disso, podese observar que o indivíduo, inserido em um contexto social de mudanças, não passou incólume, mas ao contrário, fez significações e negociações em seu modo de cuidado, sem repetir o modelo patriarcal recebido por seu pai e avô e sem deixar de lado a sua autoridade e referência em sua família

Without intending to write a comparative paper that takes into account many psychoanalytic ways of approaching a same topic, I aim to identify aspects of Winnicott s theories, which referring to this theme, can characterize the most important differences between this author and the traditional psychoanalysis concepts. While the traditional psychoanalysis, due to the centerpiece of Oedipus and to the magnitude of the sexuality theory, the father s role was limited mostly overall to the role of an interventionist and a representative of the law, as for Winnicott, the presence of the father in involved implicated since the beginning of life, when questions concerning Oedipus Complex have no meaning whatsoever, and continues changing as the child matures. This paper confirms the thesis that the thoughts reasonings viewpoints thinkings of this author represents a new theoretical and practical foundation from which the human questions, in this case, the presence and role of the father, in the process of maturation, can be understood / Este estudo tem por objetivo explicitar a concepção de Winnicott acerca do que é requerido do pai, em termos de presença e dos diversos papéis que lhe estão reservados na criação de um filho, ao longo do processo de amadurecimento pessoal, do nascimento até o estágio do complexo de Édipo, tendo em vista um desenvolvimento saudável. Sem pretender fazer um estudo comparativo que leve em conta as várias abordagens psicanalíticas sobre essa mesma questão, viso identificar aspectos da teoria de Winnicott que, referidos a esse tema, podem caracterizar as diferenças marcantes da teoria desse autor com relação às formulações da psicanálise tradicional. Enquanto nesta última, devido à centralidade do Édipo e à primazia da teoria da sexualidade, o papel do pai ficou delimitado, sobretudo, ao de interventor e de representante da lei, em Winnicott, a presença do pai está implicada desde o início da vida, quando as questões relativas ao complexo edípico não fazem ainda nenhum sentido, e vai se alterando à medida em que o amadurecimento da criança avança. Este estudo corrobora a tese de que o pensamento desse autor representa um novo fundamento teórico e prático a partir do qual as questões humanas, no caso, a presença e a parte que cabe ao pai, no processo de amadurecimento, podem ser entendidas

Finally, Winnicott`s Theory of Human Maturation as a theoretic approach useful to understand the case in question. As a result, the articulation of these points points out to the importance of winnicottian clinic as an alternative care to patients with flaws in primitive development, i.e., in preedipic stage, when is at stake the continuity of the being, not sexuality / O presente trabalho parte de três pontos principais. Em primeiro lugar, o mito de Medéia a mulher que mata os filhos para se vingar do marido. O aspecto enfocado na figura da personagem é a excessiva dependência que essa mulher nutre em relação ao homem. Em segundo, a análise de uma mulher de 40 anos que se autodenominou "uma Medéia da vida" ao procurar terapia, utilizando para isso o método clínico. E, finalmente, a Teoria do Amadurecimento Humano de D. W. Winnicott como abordagem teórica para compreender o caso em questão. O resultado da articulação desses pontos aponta para a importância da clínica winnicottiana como uma alternativa para cuidados com pacientes com falhas no desenvolvimento primitivo, ou seja, na fase pré-edípica, quando o que está em jogo é a continuidade do ser e não a sexualidade
