This screenplay is a fictional Coming of Age story of a young restless woman who, on an existentialist search for her inner self, investigates into the truth behind her famous grandmother's past, an anthropologist who conducted controversial research in the Samoa of the 1920s. In the turbulent streams of her consciousness, Kat drifts in between an urban reality in Berlin, daydreams about her grandmother's journey into the exotic unknown, fantasies about the enigmatic young Samoan single mom Penei, and memories of a once loving family. The encounter with Penei and the resulting friendship and frail romance of the two women proves to be an eye-opener for Kat who finally discovers that the objective truth proves to be the ultimate myth and that only the acknowledgement of her own, subjective vision will lead her on the path to her inner happiness. Although the character of Anna König is inspired by the historic figure of anthropologist Margaret Mead, the script has no intent to refer to actual facts of Mead's life. All the characters depicted are entirely fictional.

Detta är en C-uppsats som behandlar fenomenet ätstörningar ur ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv. Vi behandlar frågor om varför drabbade tror att ätstörningar uppkommer och vilka sociala faktorer som påverkar utbredningen och om/hur ätstörningar påverkar identiteten hos en drabbad. Vi har genom kvalitativa intervjuer försökt besvara frågor om hur medias påverkan och de sociala normerna påverkat de intervjuade volontärerna i vår studie samt hur de ser på ätstörningar som sjukdom och dess förlopp och uppkomst. Detta genom att analysera intervjuerna med hjälp av teorier av Mead, etnometodologiska infallsvinklar och teorier om identitet. De personer vi intervjuat arbetar som volontärer inom en volontärorganisation som hjälper människor som är drabbade av ätstörningar. Alla som deltog i studien hade själva personliga erfarenheter av ätstörningar. I resultatet kunde vi se tydliga skillnader och likheter i resonemanget hos de intervjuade som vi sedan analyserar för att försöka, med hjälp av hermeneutiken, nå några slutsatser om vad som påverkar ätstörningar, hur det påverkar en individ samt hur en ätstörning framställs.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka barns identitetsskapande genom leken. Leken betyder mycket förbarns liv och den ger oss stora möjligheter att kunna studera barns beteende såväl som utveckling.Med hjälp av kvalitativa observationer på ett fritidshem med barn i årskurs ett till tre kunde vi undersökabarns identitetsskapande med George Herbert Meads teori om den signifikanta andra via deras fria lek.Meads teorier har varit en utgångspunkt för vår studie. Resultatet vi kom fram till var att barn genomderas fria lek på fritidshem skapar sin identitet utifrån andra i sin omgivning. Slutsatsen som vi har dragitfrån resultaten är att den fria leken inte endast har betydelse på individens identitetsskapande utan även individens relation till andra i sin omgivning.

The temporal and spatial changes in chemical and biological properties of Lake Mead have been investigated, thereby indicating the sources of water pollution and the time of highest pollution potential. Planktonic organisms have been shown to indicate the presence of water problems. Macro- and micro-nutrient analyses have shown that primary productivity is not inhibited by limiting concentrations. A mathematical model has been developed, tested with one set of independent data, and shown worthy of management utility. Although the model works very well for the Lake Mead area, the physical reality of the Multiple Linear Regression equation should be tested on independent data.
