Sometimes such values in the family of people with mental disabilities are more problematic to implement, then the values would lead the school. The success of the equipment of the positive values depends on the quality of the school and its leadership. Based on the legislation that determines the enrollment of all students in regular schools and on my own experience as a public school teacher and Education professor, the objective of this investigation is to understand how pre-school and elementary school teachers are dealing with inclusive education for students with mental disabilities in the school environment. To achieve this objective, I interviewed and observed teachers of various counties of Rio Grande do Sul, collecting data and interpreting their speech in a hermeneutic perspective. The analyses of speeches and field data were carried out in an interpretative way through a dialog with scholars of Inclusive Education, Teachers Formation, and Teachers Knowledge. It was possible to conclude that, in many cases, school inclusion is only apparent. Une enquête collective pour une amélioration des pratiques / Cooperative engineering : workers, professionals and a researcher in the field of protected work (ESAT) A collective inquiry for an improvement of practices

Perraud, Caroline 19 November 2018 (has links)
The idea of a society for everyone is often questioned as soon as mentally disabled persons are implied. Our research seizes this matter and studies cooperative engineering in a medico social institution(ESAT: Etablissement Service d’Aide par le Travail: institution for help to disabled adults through work). Our theoretical frame is anchored in the Joint Action Theory in Didactics. Our methodology is qualitative, ethnographic and clinical. To make visible and understandable the progressive construction of thought collective, we draw on emblematic examples. We analyse them in an ascending and understanding movement. The studied device is relying on everyone's skills in two complementary and linked actions: a collective inquiry work and a didactical activity in the workshops. We understand knowledge as power of action.Throughout twelves meetings of the cooperative engineering, the collective (professionals and the researcher) elaborates work hypotheses, in response to questioning systems derived from work in the workshops. In the ESAT workshops, during the engineering activity, these hypotheses are tested by a specific small group, comprised of one workshop instructor, workers and the researcher. New problems then arise.Analysis of these actions tends to demonstrate that by working together, the collective establishes itself as a cooperative engineering, with its own thought style. In doing so, in the understanding/transforming movement, the perception and conceptualisation of everyone (workers, professionals, and researcher)find themselves transformed.

Boendestödjarens upplevelse av relationen till omsorgstagare med psykisk funktionsnedsättning / Housing supporter's experiences of the relationship with clients with mental disability

Giuricici, Doina January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of my study is to describe the relationship between housing supporters and clients based on the experience of the residential support. Six semi-structured interviews were analyzed and as shown in the results, personal qualities such as empathy, ability to listen, respect and skills and professional approach are building blocks in the creation of the relationship between housing supporters and clients. Further on, the result has been analyzed by using theories in symbolic interactionism and dramaturgical perspective for finding new angles and perspectives in the result. The result of this study is that a relationship between housing supporters and clients is important and requires both the client's and housing support’s involvement. The study is relevant to social work by increasing awareness that housing support is an important social initiative that helps people with mental disabilities.

Garcia, Gisele Zoppellari Iori. January 2008 (has links)
Abstract: This paper proposes an examination of medical-psychiatric and institutional speeches about the mental disabilities. It tries to understand how this concept was forged in a perceptive field that includes, among others, medical and educational knowledge and to understand as the practice of guardianship of the person identified as mentally deficient in Brazil calls for "special schools" happens. The review follows two paths that are seriously unified: the one of the speeches involving the conception of mental disability, and the one of the conditioning aspects involving the practices devoted to the deficient person and his reciprocal relations with the tutelar institutions. The genealogy, a strategy of analysis inspired by Michel Foucault, in whose studies we refer widely, was the instrument used to demonstrate such knowledge and practices. Under the view adopted in this work, mental disability is conceived as a product of processes that emanate from the society and not as an individual attribute. It is also understood that the special education institution has been the main place of practice where there are speeches about the disability; it has been heir and maintainer of specialized knowledge that approves not only the social restriction of people identified as mentally disabled as also the way we recognize them. Among this knowledge the medical-psychiatric speeches dominate that, together with the educational action, close the deficient person and put him in a restricted social place. The research has brought up these speeches and practices involving the exceptionality and raised arguments that show the intensive and critical participation of the mental deficient in society, understood by the speeches as social inclusion, depends on significant changes in regulatory mechanisms and normative procedures that govern the real society. / Mestre
