Mobilapplikationer : användarens syn på energiförbrukningen. / Mobile application : user’s view on energy consumption.

Daka, Festim, Trinh, Stefan January 2013 (has links)

Architecture of mobile applications with information flow control.

Oscar Zibordi de Paiva 17 May 2016 (has links)
The adoption of application stores and Open APIs by a growing number of companies, many of them not even related to the technology business, reveals their interest in externalizing the conception and development of corporate software. By doing so, these companies expect to multiply the number of functionalities available to their customers, spending a fraction of the traditionally required time and cost. On the other hand, access to corporate data and services by software developed by potentially unknown parties raises security concerns, making it imperative to ensure the adequacy of the mentioned software to the institutional security policies. Nevertheless, there is a lack of automatic tools capable of guaranteeing the mentioned adequacy in mobile platforms, either in their runtime environments or in their software development kits. This work, using recent ideas from the Information Flow Control area, proposes the architecture of a run-time environment for mobile applications that guarantees by construction their adequacy to some confidentiality and integrity policies, even in the presence of malicious code. The practicality of this architecture is validated by the implementation of an example application. This implementation illustrates the working of the proposed security mechanisms and their compatibility to a set of functionalities relevant to the scenario of corporate data manipulation.

En studie av mobilplattformen Android : med implementering av musikigenkännings- och lokaliseringstjänster / A study in the Android mobile platform : with implementations of music recognition and localization services

Larsson, Hampus, Fleischhacker, Martin January 2010 (has links)

Burgos, Peter January 2012 (has links)
This project is made for creating a stabil and useful mobile application developed in Java. The purpose of this project is to make the access and communication easier between the student and the student portal. The product of this project is the unofficial app of Mid Sweden University, called Mittuniversitetets Android-app, that in first hand is limited to Android-devices. By doing research, both by letting students answer a survey online on Mid Sweden University's student portal and by asking student physically at Mid Sweden University campus Sundsvall, the investigation tells which parts of the student portal students would like to have in the mobile application and it is according to those answers that the direction of the application has been developed. The product, which is the application, is considered complete when the students are able to for exempel reach their information and get the information presented in a good way. Three different suggestions for a solution is given and by comparing the benefits of those only one solution is chosen. The solution chosen is ”direct-connection as solution”. To be able to give the reader better basical and understandable knowledge some parts are explained in more detail in this report. The report also shows that the access to the student portal is more effective now that only 5 taps are required by using the Mid Sweden University application to get a students information instead of 24 taps by using the web-browser on the cellphone. All goals in this thesis is considered accomplished and screenshots shows this in the report. Finally there is also suggestions for some future works given in this report.

Νικολόπουλος, Γεώργιος 27 May 2014 (has links)
Mobile Health or mHealth, namely the use of mobile and wireless technologies in order to improve health services and achieve health goals, is today one of the most rapidly expanding fields of electronic health (eHealth). The number of health professionals that adopt smartphones to perform multiple tasks, during their everyday medical practice, is increasing constantly. This is due to the fact that smartphones provide advanced computing capabilities and high portability. Simultaneously, medication errors are among the most common medical errors which have negative impact both for the health of the patient and the expenditure on health sector. Drug prescribing is quite a complex procedure, considering the fact that requires the health expert to analyze multiple factors and retrieve, process, manage and digest large volume of information. According to the literature, the use of information technologies to assist health professionals in decision-making when prescribing drugs, can contribute significantly to the reduction of medication errors. In the context of our work, we explored and evaluated the major smartphone applications for drugs, aiming to the extraction of useful conclusions about the features and functions that they incorporate. One of the research key findings was the absence of a corresponding application for the drugs that are approved by the National Drug Organization of Greece. Therefore, we design and develop an application for checking drug-drug interactions which additionally provides the ability to view national formulary information about drugs. The analysis and design of the application was implemented in collaboration with future users, such as health professionals and patients, in order to ensure that will meet their needs and requirements and at the same time will remain user friendly. This application is intended for Android smart mobile devices (e.g. smartphones, tablet PCs) and the information that integrates is solely based on the national formulary of the National Drug Organization of Greece.

Developing Jxta Applications For Mobile Devices And Invoking Web Services Deployed In Jxta Platform From Mobile Devices

Bahadir, Mesut 01 December 2004 (has links) (PDF)
Today, Peer-to-peer (P2P) computing and Web Services play an important role in networking and computing. P2P computing, that aims addressing all the resources in a network and sharing them, is an old paradigm that gains importance nowadays with the advent of popular file sharing and instant messaging applications. On the other hand, a Web service is a software system that has an interface allowing applications to interact with other applications through Internet or intranet. Providing methods for publishing and discovering Web services from which mobile devices can facilitate in a P2P environment enables exploitation of P2P and Web service technologies efficiently by mobile devices. This also extends the range of devices that facilitate P2P and Web services technologies from servers and desktop computers to personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile phones. In this thesis, an architecture that enables publishing and discovering Web services for mobile clients that are inter-connected in a P2P environment is introduced. Key issues in this architecture are allowing mobile devices to join in a P2P network group, publishing Web services and discovering these services in P2P network. Invoking Web services that are published and discovered is another key issue in this architecture. The architecture introduced exploits P2P and Web services standards using various tools for mobile devices. For the purpose of organizing a P2P environment, JXTA protocols and services are used. WSDL is used for describing Web services. JXTA advertisements help in publication and discovery of Web services / and BPEL enables composition, deployment and execution of Web services. The architecture introduced within the scope of this thesis combines all these standards with tools that enable use of these standards on mobile devices. The work done in this thesis is realized as a part of Artemis, a project funded by European Commission for providing interoperability of medical information systems.
