Národní identita ve Francii a její role v politice Nicolase Sarkozyho / National identity in France and its role in the policy of Nicolas Sarkozy

Jedličková, Markéta January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis "National identity in France and its role in the politics of Nicolas Sarkozy" deals with national identity as a political instrument used by the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy during his five-year term (2007-2012). The main objective of this work is to prove that the national identity in his discourse served to increase his popularity or to obtain far-right voters and that Nicolas Sarkozy used this policy instrument throughout his mandate despite the fact that he officially turned away from it after a failed public debate on the subject in 2010. As methodological basis for research on the topic and achievement of the objectives "critical discourse analysis" was selected and also "analysis of metaphors" was used as its complement. In the theoretical part of the thesis some of the basic scientific findings that deal with the "nation", "identity" and the development and construction of "national identity" are presented and discussed . The research consists of three main chapters devoted to the analysis of Nicolas Sarkozys' speeches during the given period. Chapters are divided according to the changing role of national identity in Sarkozy's political discourse - from the campaign tool in 2007, through the recovery of this instrument in 2009 and 2010 to its insertion in the...

Bonneau, Ophélie 07 1900 (has links)
This thesis studies the impact of presidential communication on the rapid development of a nation. More precisely, this study explores the rhetorical practices in which Nicolas Sarkozy, by being the President of European union from July 1st to December 31th, has attempted to revive the interest of the French population on European development. Firstly, we examine the particular politic context that precedes the nomination of Nicolas Sarkozy in July 2008 and the two main international crisis which has punctuated his presidency. Then, we explore how scientific literature on the presidential rhetoric in time of crisis can contribute to understand the impact of his speeches on the French audience who is disillusioned about the European politic questions. After selecting and justifying the choice of five presidential speeches of our corpus, we introduce our analysis method based on the rhetorical approach of the “Close textual analysis”. Following this, we present our analyses which highlight the main rhetorical process existing in the five speeches. To conclude, we examine how these different rhetorical processes contribute to establish the rapid development of a European community.

The costume workers, these unknown experts of an unnamed dramaturgic art : basis, stakes and prospects of an unrecognized professional field

Viémont, Gaëlle 28 September 2018 (has links)
This work aims at analyzing the historical, social, cultural and gender factors responsible for the current undermining of the costume designers and makers profession. The first part consists in a historical research onthe theoretical origins of the Art of Costume starting with the appearance of the professional vocable - Costumier - invented by Pierre-Nicolas Sarrazin, as well as a study of the means this latter used to promote his field of work during the 18th century and how he came to fail. The second part is an interview-collection (2013 to 2016) - based reflection on the order nature of the work, the gender characterization of the workers and « care » as a creative motivation. It demonstrates how these specifics are potential ways to oppress the costume designers and makers and to deny them the appreciation and salary they deserve. The third part is an a esthetic critique of Costume Designer Dominique Fabrègue’s career, and the « Cut in one piece » Artwork she specialized in. This section argues that the discipline of designing costumes is an Art in full, and as it may come second in the process of putting on a play, is not for all that secondary and shouldn’t be considered assuch.
